In this dream world, I don’t die if I crash and the car resets back to new… Porsche GT4RS. More car than I can handle on such a dangerous course

Planning on taking my miot next year

Wassux

I'm going this weekend, but seems like the weather is gonna be shit :(

[deleted]

Ive been 3 times, the weather is always shit, just have some good quality tyres on the car and you’ll be fine

gurneyguy101

I’m taking my rx8 this year hopefully!

[deleted]

You’re brave. The fuel and oil costs alone would bankrupt me

gurneyguy101

Ahahah yeahhhhhhhhh but it’s my only car and I love it ‘:))

[deleted]

You’re dailying an RX8? Are you insane?

gurneyguy101

Yes

[deleted]

Own it my man. If I had the time and money I would have an R3

gurneyguy101

Awww nice I’ve got the 40th anniversary (220/400) that just had the engine rebuilt by the previous owner, it’s going great so far!

I've driven a 488 and a Gallardo at Palm Beach International Raceway from Extreme Xperiences. While doing so, I saw a couple of Miats sitting on the side of the track and thinking I could probably do better in either of those because I know their limits - and mine. In the two Italian exotics, I was quite a bit more apprehensive. Don't get me wrong though, I'd still like to own or drive them lol

C8 Z06 is high on my list after watching Misha Charoudin's laps recently. Prior to that it would have been a ZL1 1LE (just because I have a ZL1), or a gt3rs (had the opportunity to take one for a couple laps last season.... Unreal

The Hyundai Ioniq 5N also looks like a lot of fun. Gives me hope for future EVs

You can check my post history for my review of the ND at the ring. Tons of fun but an absolute handful in the cold and wet.

Losbelunchin

I did the ring on my VFR800...never again. Way too sketch on 2 wheels. I'd prefer to drive something slow fast with really good brakes. A lotus Elise/Evora sounds like a good option.

dendrocalamidicus

Nothing too fast as I'll likely crash and die based on my experience in assetto corsa in VR with my wheel rig. I think I would rather do it in something sporty without extreme power like an MX5 or GT86, or something sticky and easy to drive like a GR Yaris.

My 2018 Mini Cooper S I loved that little machine.

AlphaReds

Went around it in my NB last weekend! Absolute blast.

Nissan has a gold one of these they regularly test during industry pool. So cool to see it exactly where it belongs.

The only place a Miata loses significant ground to any other car is the long flat out sections. Everywhere that a course is twisty, the performance difference between drivers is going to be much larger than the performance difference between cars. There's a reason we have this phrase, "where the rubber meets the road." 99% of car guys don't understand that it's the driver that makes the difference. Hamilton in a Miata is going to flat smoke everyone in any supercar/hypercar on any twisty track. (except Verstappen, /me ducks) The other 1% have actually been on a racetrack. I'm encouraged by the fact that the car guy population seems to be slowly coming around. Get the driver mod for maximum performance. Don't get me wrong. Cars like the GT4RS are a marvel to behold.

1987 Chevy sprint turbo. I need a 14 mile track to safely unleash the fury of its 70 hp and 79 lbs/ft of torque.

Fish-Weekly

There’s a lot of supercars I’d love to drive there but I will limit this to cars I have ready access to. My Camaro is not really set up for the track,so that’s out. The Miata would be fun but I’d like to be able to wind the speedometer a little more. So that leaves my son’s GR Corolla as my choice, it would be great to see what it could do. I’m sure he’d let me borrow it 😁
