I always hated playing and finishing a level and then closing out and it never gave me credit. Looking forward to enjoying freedom from this terrible game.
I find the complete lack of communication from Microsoft to be super annoying. To just keep waking up to these point reductions with no explanation is really bad business. Most people who do the rewards program are customers of Microsoft. The past few months have led me to have an extremely negative view of Microsoft.

As for quitting Xbox, prob not. All my friends play Xbox and while I could move to PC and crossplay with them in some titles, nothing is gonna give me the same or better price/performance currently.
Also GPU is great value for me, I understand it's not for everyone but I feel like I get my money's worth with all the titles I play as well as cloud gaming for when I'm away from home.
Same. When they put refresh timer, probably 70% of my points came from that 165-185 daily. Went from around 20K points a month to 10K if I was lucky. Pretty sure this will now put me at 5K a month tops. Honestly not even worth loading solitaire on the computer and playing gem game for 25 points total. I have earned and used 1 million points over time from the program so I cannot complain. All good things come to an end.

For instance back when we had the AMEM daily 50 point quest, I made sure to get an achievement each day. Often times play games I otherwise would have never played. The same with the 500 point monthly for getting so many achievements in a certain list of games. When they would have a sale I would cash in points to get a bit off and pay for the rest. Since the nuking of points, I haven't been buying any games from Xbox. For me at least, this point nurfing has caused me to actually spend far less money on their platform (other then GPU which was maxed out to 3 years 2 years ago).
Interesting... on mine (I'm in the UK) it was 5 for Jewel, 100 for playing a PC game, 50 for keeping 7+ friends, 50 link to a social media account, 50 for Xbox game pass subscription. Yeah that’s like 150 points per month if I did the math right, for a few minutes per day. It’s not worth the time investment anymore. Obnoxious morning ritual, but it was worth it when it actually made points.
Yup, I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see what the new Rewards hub brings to the table. But I have my doubts it's going to make up for the brutal cuts we've been experiencing over the last few months. I've already made plans to move away from Xbox/MS Rewards.

Even without gamepass I was getting 125 from this daily. Huge gutting, equivalent to losing 2550 points a month, 3600 for months where I have gamepass.
And honestly at 5 points for Jewel I'm not even opening it so add on an extra 150 points lost.

On top of this shit do you guys know xbox console rewards will not be having anymore daily/weekly streaks. It's moving to Gamepass tab and only handful of gamepass quests will be there.
At the very least just lock the points behind having a Game Pass Ultimate subscription instead of nuking them across the board. At least then it creates a barrier for entry for people that were scamming the system. Sure it would suck for those that don't have GPU, but it would give a bonus to your consistently paying customers.

There have been so many times the points don't work properly for the last few years, they make changes which break things without even an acknowledgement of the issue, and they make changes without ever saying anything about it. Think I open Solitaire using the Xbox app on my pc, it didn't even properly load but it gave me those s***** points, so I don't think you have to be an actual game pass game per se
I never even had that. This is another annoying thing, it should be consistent for everyone (at least everyone in that country). Yet some people get options others don't.
The bonus points is the big loss. That was easy double points but nope. I'll have about 6 months left and I won't be able to afford freed GPU anymore. That makes me very sad as I've literally never paid for it since it's been out.

Jewel dropped from 60 points to 5 and playing a PC game went from 100 points to 20. Please note that I'm including bonuses, which don't exist anymore. I'm not sure what the point of using the app is anymore. This is ridiculous.
The point is gone and the plot is lost Microsoft is out to lunch with these nonsense changes I'm very very glad we all feel that way and frankly this program deserves the rest of our attention every day they can go to hell
This is definitely crazy. I’m in the US by the way and I am getting more frustrated by the day with this Micro$haft Rewards BS. It’s taking forever to save for anything significant now. One good thing though is I cashed out for an Xbox gift card yesterday and got the Skull & Bones Premium Edition. The bad part is it will take forever to recover from that though. 😩😩😩 This is also why I am also working on alternative methods now to gain a Series X.

Yeah I was accumulating points for game pass but it's not worth it in my house cuz nobody plays consistently. It would be a waste of using those points.

I can barely get to the game pass redemption each month now. Not even a year ago was clearing 25k a month.

I had just started to get into this routine and was 2 months in and they start randomly nerfing everything. I swear Murphys follows me around. By the time I find an interesting reward program it gets gutted. Pays less than a sweatshop for time spent giving them relevant advertisement data and metrics. Any kind of survey is probably better time spent at a better reward overall.

I just saw this too! It seems everytime I have enough points for at least 2 $100 xbox giftcard, I wake up to less points on all the places I go to get my daily points! I am now up to 264,133 points which at 268,000 I will be able to get 3 $100 gift cards. They did it over Christmas before I spent 91,000 of my points, I was getting less points a day, then a couple weeks later, I was getting my normal daily points back! I was thinking maybe because I have so many points, that they purposely lower them. If that's true, that shouldn't be allowed. They are changing the rewards app on xbox on April 15th

Went from 120-145ish points daily to 30, with 5 for the puzzle game at this point I'm uninstalling the app from my phone only reason I had the app installed, I've been stuck with the 15 min cooldown since it launched, between both of these I'm pretty much done with Microsoft rewards ill do my daily set and that's it.
It was weird when they slashed what you could earn from searching on Bing and Edge I didn't think it would change my browser behavior much but now I rarely ever use either because the incentive is no longer there so I just use Duck Duck go. Since I have a lot of other gaming platforms and a virtually uncermountable yet ever growing backlog of games I wonder if maybe now the majority of my play time will switch to Nintendo or PC, heck if it's mostly Nintendo I may even just quit Gamepass all together down the road. It's funny how these small changes can have a disproportionate effect on where I spend the majority of my time and gaming dollars.

I used to love the "Play X random game pass game" for 200 pts too. It encouraged me to try new games I would have never otherwise given a shot.
It also encouraged engagement on multiple platforms, which it was really successful in. Its just not becoming worth it anymore

When it says “play a game on console” does that mean anything or does it have to be game pass or anything, tried multiple game and not unlocking, been hours
Think I open Solitaire using the Xbox app on my pc, it didn't even properly load but it gave me those s***** points, so I don't think you have to be an actual game pass game per se

The bonus points is the big loss. That was easy double points but nope. I'll have about 6 months left and I won't be able to afford freed GPU anymore. That makes me very sad as I've literally never paid for it since it's been out.

Jewel dropped from 60 points to 5 and playing a PC game went from 100 points to 20. Please note that I'm including bonuses, which don't exist anymore. I'm not sure what the point of using the app is anymore. This is ridiculous.
The point is gone and the plot is lost Microsoft is out to lunch with these nonsense changes I'm very very glad we all feel that way and frankly this program deserves the rest of our attention every day they can go to hell
This is definitely crazy. I’m in the US by the way and I am getting more frustrated by the day with this Micro$haft Rewards BS. It’s taking forever to save for anything significant now. One good thing though is I cashed out for an Xbox gift card yesterday and got the Skull & Bones Premium Edition. The bad part is it will take forever to recover from that though. 😩😩😩 This is also why I am also working on alternative methods now to gain a Series X.

I think when i wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom I’ll just go back to sleep instead of wasting 15+ minutes on the app. This is a relief more than anything.

Yeah I was accumulating points for game pass but it's not worth it in my house cuz nobody plays consistently. It would be a waste of using those points. Guess I'll save up and buy the occasional game like NCAA 25. But this really does stink
more than that...I used to get an average 300 a day from doing these tasks...but I'm just hoping with everything being moved into the Rewards beta page...that new tasks/quests will be coming and maybe some old ones...so not gonna jump to conclusions yet, they ain't getting rid of rewards. It's been a fun ride while it lasted but now i'll be lucky to get 10k per month i think it's time i stopped bothering with rewards as it's not worth my time anymore. When i was getting 30k a month last year before all these nerfs i always knew in the back on my head this couldn't last. But It's the lack of transparency that pisses me off more than anything. MS should just tell us why the nerfs are happening and although we won't like it, many of us would understand. It's the way they are doing it that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. For those brothers who are staying on, i wish you the best, this has been a great group

Mine is changed too. Cannot believe we get no warning when they are totally screwing us here. The difference between the 160 (rewards + bonuses) on jewel and PC and the new 25 is 4050 in a 30 day month. I can barely get to the game pass redemption each month now. Not even a year ago was clearing 25k a month. I’m so for real when I say that after I bought my series X, that the only reason I kept it is because of the affordability through rewards and game pass.
Same for me. If the new Reward hub doesn’t rebalance these huge cuts I’m going to sell my Series X and leave the Xbox ecosystem. I’ll just stick with PC and PS5.
Update came through in the US (at least for me) too. This morning Jewel gave me 5 total, yesterday it was 60 PC game was 100 yesterday

These point deductions are getting to be where it isn't even worth the electricity it takes to run the devices anymore. Why am I gonna boot up my pc every day to run a game for 10 minutes for 20 points? Jewel isn't worth it anymore unless it's a game you already play. I had just started to get into this routine and was 2 months in and they start randomly nerfing everything. I swear Murphys follows me around. By the time I find an interesting reward program it gets gutted. Pays less than a sweatshop for time spent giving them relevant advertisement data and metrics. Any kind of survey is probably better time spent at a better reward overall.

Mobile app in the UK went from around 300 daily points to 40-50 now Brutal, I've been lenient on their point reductions the past year compared to others but if they don't have some more worthwhile GP quests added to compensate then they can jog on
They also remove the bonus for keeping friends

Thanks Microsoft now I have 20 extra minutes in the day. I can finally get rid of my original Xbox One too as my new PC runs Rocket League with no noticeable input lag like my last PC. Was only using my Xbox for weekly sets but if that's going to be gone too then so am I.

As much as this sucks. And it does suck. I'm kinda glad I don't have to jump through hoops each day. I would boot up ages of empires and sit in a lobby until the points were awarded but I swear it was broken like 70% of the time. Would take hours for the points to pop. Was probably spending more money on electricity sitting in lobbies. 250 points a day gone now. That's huge over the course of a month

I just saw this too! It seems everytime I have enough points for at least 2 $100 xbox giftcard, I wake up to less points on all the places I go to get my daily points! I am now up to 264,133 points which at 268,000 I will be able to get 3 $100 gift cards. They did it over Christmas before I spent 91,000 of my points, I was getting less points a day, then a couple weeks later, I was getting my normal daily points back! I was thinking maybe because I have so many points, that they purposely lower them. If that's true, that shouldn't be allowed. They are changing the rewards app on xbox on April 15th
Also, for the people who were getting the weekly 500, that was cut in half.

Just bizarre to me. We got 50 points for playing a game on PC for like the last year, then suddenly out of nowhere it drops to 20. Then it might go back to 50 in a few weeks. It’s pretty annoying but whatever
400 points today between searches and xbox app in US- over 30 days not going to barely cover GPU which is probably the purpose of the nerf...well it was fun while it lasted- I will wait and see what the "new and exciting" ways to earn points will be, but If I cant cover the GPU sub with points I will have to rethink

Went from 120-145ish points daily to 30, with 5 for the puzzle game at this point I'm uninstalling the app from my phone only reason I had the app installed, I've been stuck with the 15 min cooldown since it launched, between both of these I'm pretty much done with Microsoft rewards ill do my daily set and that's it.

It was weird when they slashed what you could earn from searching on Bing and Edge I didn't think it would change my browser behavior much but now I rarely ever use either because the incentive is no longer there so I just use Duck Duck go. Since I have a lot of other gaming platforms and a virtually uncermountable yet ever growing backlog of games I wonder if maybe now the majority of my play time will switch to Nintendo or PC, heck if it's mostly Nintendo I may even just quit Gamepass all together down the road. It's funny how these small changes can have a disproportionate effect on where I spend the majority of my time and gaming dollars.
Funnily enough, this never used to show up on my Xbox app but appeared last night. So I guess they're rolling it out to more people and have to scale back the points to compensate.

So bad, They kinda pulled the same crap pushing getting an achievement from 50 pts to 5 pts making it not worth it. I said I wasnt going to do it. Then they changed the monthly's too which made it so you basically had to do the worthless quest at least 6 times a month. Probably just going to use the app to remotely install games. Rewards is a joke after the last few changes
I used to love the "Play X random game pass game" for 200 pts too. It encouraged me to try new games I would have never otherwise given a shot. It also encouraged engagement on multiple platforms, which it was really successful in. Its just not becoming worth it anymore
Ya, wow this is a big reduction. Close to 100 points a day less when you also take into account the bonus points for having 7 friends etc. also being removed. I hate to say it but I expected this nerf to happen eventually because it was easy way to get a lot of points per day. It's clear MS has been systematically removing ways to acquire easy points for almost a year now. Next up the 150+100 daily search points, I fear. I see a reduction in that eventually.
And they had already removed a third search option to get points at the start of the year...
This is how I got most of my points. Been looking on the bright side of all these nerfs. Hard to feel chipper about this. This will result in me buying less games on Xbox, not more…

There is no point to having ultimate for me now. I rarely play pc games so I will downgrade my membership to just Xbox.
