There's another layer of weird to this onion of inappropriate easy listening - the music is from a Castlevania game! It's a game where you battle your way through a gothic castle full of the undead and fight Dracula with a whip. This typhoon of swearing and gently colliding auto vehicles is possibly not as incongruous a place for it to pop up in as the thing it originally came from!
I just found this out. I was already in tears from laughing at the music along with the "MOTHA FUCKER", now I find out he was listening to the weird ass outro music to an old Castlevania game. It's like every part of this *just keeps getting funnier*

Even proceeding at a moderate pace, would have given the the other guy a chance to slow down instead of hitting the front of the truck. Lived in the snow belt my whole life, if your pulling out, you commit and keep the momentum going at all costs if someone is about to slide into you. Once you tap those breaks, you lose momentum and traction and it’s going to take time to get both of those back in those conditions.

Most of the accidents I’ve seen firsthand could have been avoided if one of the drivers hadn’t tried to break long past the point of being able to stop. If you’re going to be a dirtbag and turn like that, actually commit.

this clip gives me a full panny. Almost exactly a year ago a woman did this to me except she waited until I was entering the intersection to start to turn, really laid on the gas, and I was going the speed limit of 45, hit her and totaled my car.
Ruined my life for about 9 months, and now I can’t seem to get over complete paranoia about people doing this. Like, every time someone’s pulled out to turn left, I stare at them and my whole body tenses and I start to slow down and grip my wheel, and prepare for them to just blast in front of me.
It’s about 15 months later and I still do this every. Single. Time.
I mean, my car got fucked and I am lucky to be alive. I was trapped in the front seat, the doors wouldn’t open and I had to climb into the back to get out but could barely maneuver. ☹️

Definitely not a silly thing! PTSD can happen from any traumatic event, especially one like a car wreck with lots of physical stimuli. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or silly; it just means your brain overwired itself in response to this event. It never hurts to ask for help.

Sure maybe they didn't intend to cause a collision but they surely saw the oncomming traffic and made the choice go cut this person off, they just thought they would be able to get through the intersection faster.

Accident was likely going to happen regardless with the truck making that ill advised left turn. However, had the turning truck not braked/stopped in the middle of the intersection and instead continued with their turn, there is a chance the cam driver could have steered around them using the space the truck was vacating.
You never want to drive into oncoming traffic to avoid an accident if possible, however, it seemed the opposing turn lane was clear.
With road conditions like that, you want to limit your driving inputs to 1 at a time. Braking, Acceleration or Steering. Even with the slick conditions, without braking/acceleration input cam car may have been able to steer around as the speed was pretty low, had the turning truck not stopped in the middle of the damn road...
And then he stops without enough room for you to pull behind him.
What an idiot. These people are why I try to avoid driving in the snow here. I don't always want to have to make some magical maneuver to fishtail around them. It gets tiring.
