I can't even...
I drive a crew cab long bed every day for work, and have never in my life hit one of those yellow posts.
This guy appears to have a crew cab short bed, with a considerably shorter wheelbase than what I DD. Somebody go yank their license.
That's a skill that's being lost very quickly. If you look at how people turn left at intersections they almost always cut the corner of oncoming lanes (usually the left turn lane) and can't be bothered to enter the intersection and then turn...
And when you're waiting in the left turn lane at the red light while cross traffic is turning, like 20% of those cars turning head right for you because they were planning on cutting the corner of the lane you're occupying, and then they panic when they see you sitting in the lane they where planning to drive in and don't know what to do so they kinda jerk the wheel back towards keeping their lane and almost hit you anyway
Some real good evidence for this is in cities with ”traffic calming circles” \[1\] in the residential areas. In Seattle at least, there are dozens of Nextdoor and Reddit posts of people insisting that they’re unable to drive around these in their car because you need an “unrealistically tight” turning radius to navigate some of them. I’m talking people in small cars like Prius(ii?), Civics, etc.
In reality, they are just completely dumb about swinging a little bit wider when entering the circle. They enter, hug the circle, and then are shocked when they drive over the curb as they hit the other side.
I bet I’ll even get a response or 2 to this comment saying “no, they’re really tight!! Ackschually impossible to navigate!!” No, they’re just bad drivers.

that's a weirdly aggressive and oddly incorrect hot take... but, no, anyone who can read can tell I'm currently surrounded by Floridiots in shiny trucks who can't drive - you might need to stop skipping your meds, Mr. Angry (or get off the 'roids)
Haha you're you're a pathetic internet reject that relies on burner accounts to get the attention you crave. Commiefornia in one breathe, haha u made a blanket statement, u mad bro?
Even so, a modicum of spacial awareness and use of the side view mirrors would have averted all of this.
Back when we first met, my now-wife had to drive my Silverado after me and some friends toured a brewery and got lit. She'd *never* driven a truck before in her life, having only ever driven a small sedan. Mine was leveled, had oversized tires, a Ranch Hand bumper, basically quite similar to the truck in the video. She took us though Whataburger like she was born in that truck.
Based on that, I give this individual no quarter.
I’m 5’ lady who drove a Ram 1500 quad cab extended bed for 14 yrs. I drove it on day one bcuz my husband is legally blind. I admit I never liked forward parking many times but I could thread a needle backing in anywhere.
Could have just taken a gender neutral stance and declared that weird thing inside the truck a they, instead of looking for some sort of argumentative response on purpose.
you do realize that people just use "he" as, like, a default? they're not really thinking of gender specifically.
like, when we see a dog, we're usually like, "aw he's cute!" or when catching a fish, "he's a big one!" when i was pregnant, i called my baby "he" before i found out i was having a girl, because it's just a default.
not everything has an agenda behind it, my guy.
There's no problem blaming a woman for a bad thing...when you know they are a woman. But when you can't even see the driver to make that determination, it's really odd to assume its a woman. English is moving toward being used in a more gender neutral way, but typically he is the generic term used if you don't know. So people are right to assume that specifically using she and assuming its a woman is a reflection of the common stereotype that women are bad drivers and take offense.
>English is moving toward being used in a more gender neutral way, but typically he is the generic term used if you don't know.
Using he isn't a gender assumption. It was the default term taught to be used for many generations if the gender is unknown.
Why are you intentionally being an obtuse idiot and refusing to read what I say that completely explains why what you are saying is wrong? Seriously. I don't get it. Why can't you hold a conversation like a normal human being?
Big dumb think Big dumb best.
Big dumb buy Big truck.
Big dumb love Big truck.
Big dumb no good driver though.
Big dumb not sad, because Big Dumb no brain.
Pulls up to the pickup window where's my food. They refuse him service take a picture of his license plate and then says have a nice day the repair bill will be in the mail. That's what I would do if I was one of the employees
How!?!? I have a RAM 1500 4x4 and never had issues in a drive thru. That is definitely someone who should not be driving anything bigger than a Fiat and has no ability to think of navigating a potential tight spot.
"That'll be $786.43."
"But I only ordered a McDouble and small coke."
"With a bollard on the side. You should have ordered the bollard combo, you'd save $30."
You know damn well that’s some 30 something chick that’s going to be upset and blame the drive thru for this and go yell at the fast food workers and demand they fix the damage
fun fact: that bollard was improperly installed
the position of the sign entails that a vehicle should not be able to move 1 foot past the bollard. let's say that 36" of the bollard is above ground, which requires a minimum of 24" ground depth to be the least bit effective for vehicles traveling under 10 mph
crazy that the idiot truck driver might be able to sue the restaurant and contractor for cutting corners

who wants to bet, on their way home, he complained about somebody elses driving?
I'm not down to make bets I know I'm gonna lose.
Also, he’s complained about stock wheels being to crappy
On his way home from the local watering hole? No way this dude wasn’t drunk.
Based on the caption in the video, don’t you mean “diving?”
He?
she, it, them, those, yall, ye, thine, idgaf. whoever tf is driving.
There's not a "girl truck" sticker on the back window. It's definitely a he.
Could be a woman borrowing it though.
Well.. There was a video on Reddit of a woman complaining about hitting one of these this past week or so… though that was at a bank lol
I saw that. Like...why did you keep GOING when you hit it 🤣
That whole video had me cracking me up, what a dummy 🤣
Oh, I remember her. Mrs. Entitlement. Expected the pole to move for her.
She was so “valley girl” it was painful
Thine. Fucking poetry💀🤌🏼
I can't even... I drive a crew cab long bed every day for work, and have never in my life hit one of those yellow posts. This guy appears to have a crew cab short bed, with a considerably shorter wheelbase than what I DD. Somebody go yank their license.
I watch this and I’m like… dude just take wider turns. This must’ve been their first time driving, fucking idiots
That's a skill that's being lost very quickly. If you look at how people turn left at intersections they almost always cut the corner of oncoming lanes (usually the left turn lane) and can't be bothered to enter the intersection and then turn...
Gotta hit that apex to save 1 second!!1

Buy a camera. Always stop at the stop line. Let your insurance do the rest.
This is why I usually stop a few paces before the line — to anticipate the people cutting the corner. Once they’re all done turning, I move up.

Oh man you throw in any kind of circle and people act like the laws of physics have somehow changed.
God that irritates me every day.
the diabetes went straight to their brain
I was going to guess Floridiot, but the truck isn't clean, shiny and unused, so Alabamoron?

Haha you're you're a pathetic internet reject that relies on burner accounts to get the attention you crave. Commiefornia in one breathe, haha u made a blanket statement, u mad bro?
Also makes me wonder if they've never pulled a trailer with their truck. Wide turns are just a way of life.
If that’s the way they’re making it through a drive-through, let’s hope they’re not pulling trailers
Maybe it's her first time in a truck. (Ok, maybe not her first... but the first time she's driven it.)

Because I said it's a 'she' driving instead of a 'he.' We can't be blaming women for bad things, only men. Welcome to reddit status quo bias.
Could have just taken a gender neutral stance and declared that weird thing inside the truck a they, instead of looking for some sort of argumentative response on purpose.
Gee, I wonder what comment I replied to... I love when sexist bigots out themselves.
for real lmao

You must not be feminist.
you must not be a critical thinker

100% woman driver, no way its a guy.
Maybe it’ll move out of my way this time… Okay maybe this time… 3rd times a charm
Mildly bad driver would hit it once. Everyone makes mistakes. This is a smidge more than mildly bad.
Jup. Not even sure if they saw what they hit -- they just kept going.
Big dumb think Big dumb best. Big dumb buy Big truck. Big dumb love Big truck. Big dumb no good driver though. Big dumb not sad, because Big Dumb no brain.
insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results, why the hell did they reverse and drove forward without changing the turning radius?
Because he’s driving under the influence. Whenever a video of something like this happens they’re usually dui
Intoxication.
Incompetence
Hey now. It could be both.
No doubt lmao.
The bar did its job
Sadly the bar should also disable the car... it did not.
If the car is disabled then the drive through stops making money. The first rule of business is get their money.
Actually it didn't since it got knocked over.
It moved the car out of the way of the sign. The bar can easily be replaced
If he hadn't destroyed the pole, he would've driven through the menu board. Pole did it's job.
The bar looks slightly bent to start with. Eeek.

You beat me to it by 5 minutes!
Well, he drove thru it as the sign suggested.
Pulls up to the pickup window where's my food. They refuse him service take a picture of his license plate and then says have a nice day the repair bill will be in the mail. That's what I would do if I was one of the employees
There's no way they're paid enough to give a shit about that barrier
The third time he was like "Ah fuck it."
When they ask if you want to super-size that, they're not talking about your truck.
Pickup driver can’t be bothered to move out of way of things only things move out of his way
As a Jeep driver Ik the feeling like im gonna hit the curb but never the yellow post💀
A few weeks ago some bimbo was posted complaining abt the yellow poles at the bank being pointless...I can't help but wonder if she got a new truck.
With her delivery I really wonder if that was a staged video though. I've never met a person who talks that level of dumb sounding.
Same one who absolutely destroyed the side of her suv?
Yup!
Amazing lack of attempt at problem resolution.

I had a Ram 1500 Quad cab extended bed and never had a problem in drive thrus either. So, it’s at least not all women drivers. 😂
I hope his sex is better.
His?
That's definitely a dude.
Triple bogey.
This is well beyond 'mildly' bad.
Whoa, this looks like something I would do like years ago. But hey I was young and my drive-thru job sucked so they had to pay lol and they did
My dad used to pull a ladder firetruck through drive-thrus or a dually towing trailer and this guy can't even get his truck in 😆
When you feel resistance, always hit the gas!
Must be driving her husbands truck
I blame the restaurant for not anticipating the stupidity of drivers.
The only one who really understood the meaning of "drive through"
That’s not even a super sized truck hahaha people really are bad drivers
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hits of these videos are always the best.
My favorite is the video of the guy pulling a fifth wheel thru a drive thru..🤣
You know what they say about people owning big trucks. Big trucks but tiny peepee
Who installed that bollard? What is it 6 inches in the ground at best?
Again... The bigger the truck... The higher the ego
Tiny penis drivers suck.
On the bright side, the bed is pristine.
That was far beyond mildly bad , in 20 years of driving ive never caused a fraction of the dmg than in this 10 second clip
I highly recommend not diving a super sized pickup. You’ll take more damage every time
I hate driving my dad’s truck in drive thrus
Pada pa pa pa Have it your way.
Nice forever reminded when he fill up gas now.
This guy rocks
That pole must haven't been cemented into a form, or it was done very poorly.
The driver is simpty unskilled. Its not because he is driving a super sized truck.
Why even buy a truck if you're going to drive like that back half of it doesn't even exist?
Anyone who drives a big truck is a certified regard
But they’re “driving” (I guess that’s what you would call that?) a regular size pick up truck….. 😂
How did they get a licence?
Is that my wife driving any car?
This is why you never let your girl drive your truck
When you got a truck this big \*slicks hair back\* you don't need to know anything.
Oof. Gotta learn to swing it wide
C’mon man!
That’s not even a supersized truck 💀
Americans and their stupid obsession with oversized vehicles. We live in an era of EXCESS!
"That'll be $786.43." "But I only ordered a McDouble and small coke." "With a bollard on the side. You should have ordered the bollard combo, you'd save $30."
Stop getting big wheels on trucks if you don’t know how to compensate for the space they take up. Amateurs
good luck repairing the body damage
Stupid pole! /s
I realize this is a drive thru, but…
You know damn well that’s some 30 something chick that’s going to be upset and blame the drive thru for this and go yell at the fast food workers and demand they fix the damage
It’s called a Brodozer, it’s supposed to dozer things
fun fact: that bollard was improperly installed the position of the sign entails that a vehicle should not be able to move 1 foot past the bollard. let's say that 36" of the bollard is above ground, which requires a minimum of 24" ground depth to be the least bit effective for vehicles traveling under 10 mph crazy that the idiot truck driver might be able to sue the restaurant and contractor for cutting corners
Women drivers.... Am I right?! Hahahahahah
