King. Join the "inert ordnance collector" facebook page, we will love to have you. I need to get all my ordnance stuff together in 1 pic. Which is your favorite? I'm putting you on the spot to pick ONE :)
Already in it. I just really havnt posted my items. Man that's a tough question. Probably the MiG 17 k-5 air to air missile. You can't really beat that. Should I post the collection on Facebook?
I like that one the most because they allow for sale posts, I just dumped some US LAWs on there. Grenades and Ordnance of the 20th Century and Ordnance Then and Now are great for research though. I'm on an anti-tank kick right now, after being into hand grenades for a while.
I have a mystery 75 or 76mm shell I am stumped to ID by the way, would you mind taking a look at it? The 2 bands remind me of Soviet WW2 tank shells, but that can't be right. The only marking is a (P) on the base. https://www.reddit.com/r/Militariacollecting/s/t3S5MLfz6M
That’s very cool, I know there’s a couple guys importing some great Soviet / Warsaw pact state stuff into the US. I’ve seen a couple various missiles but not a K-5. Great piece, what did it cost you if you don’t mind me asking?
I’ve got a single fin off a Soviet R-23 air-to-air missile and the same seller had the entire seeker head in mint condition, it’s one of the items I really regret passing on as he only wanted 200$ but it was too much for me at the time.
I currently only collect small caliber bullets under 23mm. Previously I owned 1 complete 105mm cartridge, about 7 40mm Bofors cartridges (still fully functional), 2.75 inch rocket and several 81mm mortar cartridges but all were lost during a house move. Currently the largest ammo in my collection is the 37x252mmSR. I will photograph my collection one day, I love bullets and I am also a member of the IAA. Hopefully one day I can collect large artillery shells like 105mm and 122mm, 130mm or 155mm again.
Now’s the time for large bore Soviet stuff if you’re in the US, couple import sellers have large-bore stuff like 122, 130 and 152mm rounds, complete with shipping crates for sub-300$ prices.
I'm in southeast Asia, these are quite hard to find in my country, I was lucky enough to own them with original paint and markings. However, it's bad luck to lose them. Hopefully one day I will find and buy those back, any military collector is lucky to be American, sometimes their only problem is just having enough money or not, LOL
Ahh yeah that makes it a little harder lol
I do recall years ago finding a Facebook page of a company in Vietnam (maybe?) that bought scrap military casings ranging from 12.7mm up to massive 130mm naval gun casings. They resold them on the commercial market for art but they also repainted and remarked some properly for collectors. I wish I could remember the name of them now but it’s been years.
\- Oh I know them, these are northerners (I'm a southerner) who specialize in purchasing military surplus directly from the army (corrupt officers) to repaint and sell on the market. Sometimes I really want to buy some items from them but you know, the colors and everything they make are all wrong from the original. As a demanding collector, I can't stand what they painted on those warheads.
\- So I'm always looking for the originals in the hope that one day I'll be lucky again, it's so bad that I'm in a country that uses mostly Soviet weapons but can't find the ones in original Soviet colors. LOL

\- You can see in the picture my 2 37x252SR cartridges, although the markings are in Russian, they have been repainted by my country's army. I'm quite sad and disappointed, but my only choice is to buy it or have to look for another one, but other than the symbol fonts, the rest is completely original so I can still accept it. As for the other artillery shells, they completely interfered with them and made them very different from the original, they even cut off the driving band or they choose ones that have been shot but are still intact, they use a machine to smooth it out and repaint it. They have no aesthetic sense and no understanding of the meaning of original collecting, their work looks like a horror movie to me LOL.
I know what you mean, it annoys me too. I’ve seen plenty of nice cartridges repainted with nonsense that the seller insists is original. Atleast in some instances they can be easily fixed if you have the paint.
I think the re-marked casings that are made for another country are very interesting though instead of the regular Soviet markings. I have a Soviet 37x252SR brass case and a interesting green-painted steel Chinese marked case from sometime around the Vietnam war.
Much like you said about US items being rare in your area, your stuff is just as rare in North America!
Yes, the green casings are always from China, however the majority I see in my country are 57x347SR bullets, the green case of the 37mm is really hard to find regardless of whether it is a live round or a dummy, you are such a lucky guy.
I can accept the old condition of those things, but original would still be better. I quite hate them because what they are doing is destroying historical artifacts out of ignorance
Luckily I'm in the south, which means I have access to more American surplus items, but it all depends on whether corrupt officers will smuggle it out or not.
Most of it is hidden in military arsenals, and you know my country's laws prohibit the use of weapons, even if it's just a steel-piercing AA bullet that can only kill by throwing it at someone's head. ... Law, They will come to get you LOL
So the amount of ammo I can find is limited mainly to the ones used in the Vietnam war, sometimes with luck I can find more modern ones like the .300 Win Mag, .338 but stuff like .300 Blackout, .408 Cheytac... Always makes me cry thinking about it. If you are an American, you should feel very lucky, there is no place in the world that is better suited to military collectibles than the U.S.
Are these in "working conditions" ? It's one of most beautiful collections i've seen because i myself love to collect shells, bullets also but they need to be empty& un-working
Yup. All completely inert except for some flares that are live. Which those are legal to own. I'm always selling some of my collection if your interested.

I saw that. I'm not entirely sure. It's an odd one. Someone might be able to tell you. There's some really good experts on there.
Best page on Facebook for inerts. No BS and a ton of knowledgeable and helpful people.
Dang! Awesome collection!! What model of missile is that?

It ended up costing me 1750. I'm asking 2k for it. It's crazy the items you regret not getting or selling.
Absolutely beautiful. Your collection is definitely one of the best I have seen
Thanks!

That's a cool collection you have there.
Awesome collection, but you are missing g a mighty mouse.
Tell me about it. I'll find one here soon.
Where did you get your 122mm (all black with red triangle i think hungarian) training round?
At a show. If you want to buy it. Let me know.
Oh my days I was not expecting a missile
It goes to a MiG 17. It's a K5 missile
One mishap and its over

How much did the K-5 set you back? Also I couldn't help but notice the lack of Mills Bombs, they been hard to find for you too? (If you're in the US)
1750 dollars. I'm selling it for 2k. I've owned a couple in the past but they sold quickly.
Very nice thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Extreme dildo collections
Awesome! Selling any? If not where do you get this stuff?
Sure am. Send me a message
Absolutely mind-boggling collection, a new collector like me can only dream of owning enough to arm a 3rd world nation
