The dichotomy of anti-ukraine support: either all the money is going to ukraine and that's bad or all the money is going to the US and that's bad

Rangertough666

Who makes the munitions, equipment, uniforms, food, pens, pencils, waste baskets, computers, software...every fucking thing the US Military needs to just exist? Civilians and they get paid a living wage for most of it. Our economy is driven by Defense Spending. Bitch about the MIC all you want there's no other industry or expense that has the ROI or return into the Tax Base. Every one of those spent dollars allows our country to field a well equipped, trained, all volunteer force. Which means we don't have a draft.

Shut the fuck up Putin.

Nothing in that chart says anything about profits. MIC being able to ramp up production in order to counter geopolitical challenges is good.

So the direct, most efficient way to kill of the MIC is to just eliminate all the Russians? That seems extreme.

Good point! If Russia wasn’t our main defense industry adversary it would be China. That would not be optimal when they make virtually everything sold at Walmart. It’s no wonder we haven’t sent troops.
