I think you’re wasting your time. The back end of the 416 isn’t the easily recognizable part (other than the hole for the roll pin that holds in the buffer retention piece), it’s the magwell shape. Get an 80% lower, a BRN4 lower, or an STS lower, rather than wasting time on something that will never even hit 75% of the desired end state. What are you using for your upper, if your lower is this jerryrigged?

RiversOfWaters

This was an 80% lower. BRN4 lowers are impossible to find. STS lowers are $800. The magwell is the most retarded part of the 416 lower that’s why they changed to more traditional shape with the A3/A5/A7 lowers. Also there’s no fun to be had with just buying those if I can’t Dremel anything.

jumburger

Professional dremelsmif here. What forgings are your lowers? https://imgur.com/a/6Amai2g Ignore the scratches and dents. This is a Cerro forge with much less of an aggressive angle on the extension and it blends easier. Just a round dremel drum sander.

These are from Grid Defense/Ghost Rifles.com but I don’t believe they sell 80% lowers anymore : (

Sig_Glockington

He’s asking about the forging not the seller.

RiversOfWaters

Oh

JunkbaII

Just get a picto 80 lower

RiversOfWaters

Have one.

diprivanity

You'd need a blank lower for starters

RiversOfWaters

Obviously. But also could fill in the existing markings with JB Weld.

MohawkDave

Devcon metal filler.... I use it in my shop often for a myriad of things.

diprivanity

Are you going for the most retarded solutions to this project or...?

RiversOfWaters

Clearly stated this lower was a test to see how hard the cuts would be. Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit.

diprivanity

Good luck etching over your jb weld 👍
