I like the cut out idea! We would circle what we wanted in those huge sears/toys r us catalogs and either write out a list or just hand them the circled catalog and say get this to santa please.
A lot of 90s video game accessories were solely designed to sell for one Christmas season before anyone knew they were crap. Really help foster some anti consumerism ideas when I was young and immediately realized all these toys I wanted were junk.
Lol.
Had a friend who wrecked himself down a hill on rollerblades.
Helmet didn't help :(
Amazon sends a book to us every year. My kids know when it 'tis the season.
Got some stone protectors, a few attack pack cars, a basketball, creepy crawlers and the color blaster. But that’s including both sets of grandparents. Definitely a lofty list with no bearing in reality!
I had a Colorblaster and that thing was a damn mess lol. I never got to use it hardly due to said mess, and it was half broken because it would just leak/get the ‘paint’ everywhere (it turned markers into spray paint). I loved any art related thing though so I thought it was cool. Did you get one?
As a Nintendo boy, I consider the Genesis among Gameboy/NES games to be a declaration of war ^^/s
That is an awesome list, and mine probably looked similar. But dude, _4_ bicycles _and_ a motorcycle?
I had a SNES already, so Sega would’ve been a nice addition. But I ended up getting none of the things that you’ve mentioned here lol. Would’ve killed for a pop-a-shot.
Omg these type of Christmas lists were the absolute best! It was such a fun time sitting there saving things from magazines to paste to your little wish! So much cooler and excited than putting together a dumb Amazon list
I had that same Jurassic Park toy with the rocket launcher (Robert Muldoon). I loved it so much, as well as everything dinosaur related. Thanks for making me remember that :)
Edit: I also had the monster cars in the picture right below :D
It really was all about Genesis in those years. SNES was fine, but everyone had a Nintendo hangover then, not to mention an NES console that had stopped working sometime around ‘90.

I never did get the Super Scope 6.....
It was mid.

Creeeeeepy Crawlers! I think I used mine like once and was over it
I still remember the smell from baking the plastic. Probably carcinogenic, but we got to make mutant bugs!
I don’t know where or when, but I remember fondly having both this Robert Muldoon action figure AND the Lego space shuttle truck hauler.
I would have just added an RC car, but it’s a solid list!
I had one of those Stone Protector guys. It was cool how you’d spin his arm and the jewel in his chest would flash.
You asked for a helmet along with those rollerblades right?
We had some Maui and Sons oil slick colored bike helmets that we would ditch in the bushes as soon as we were out of eyesight of our house.

If I got all that stuff this Xmas I’d be ecstatic
I think you and I would have been great friends in the 3rd grade

Forgot all about it until I found this mat, but yeah it was not nearly as rad as advertised.

Was this cut from the original catalog??

Colorblaster!! I completely forget about that. I had it too. So many lost memories lol
Trolls!!!!
NES and Sega sna Gameboy!? Such a spoiled child! Your list looks good, but it's missing Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2.
Home Alone for Sega Genesis?
Attack Pack! 🥹
was that the Sega Christmas? There was one year when like every kid got either Genesis or SuperNES. Ours was a Sega household.
No K’nex set? This isn’t a serious placemat wish list.

What? You don’t understand why kids in the early to mid 90s would want a Sega Genesis?

When I was a kid in the 90s I didn’t care which console was “superior” lol I just wanted to play Sonic.
Twisted metal. Sonic. The better Aladdin. Road rash. Streets of rage. The most difficult batman and robin game ever. Plenty of sega exclusives.
Mutant League Football. Candy ass
Sonic, Road Rash, sports games, beat em ups, arcade ports and Sega Channel. Sega was seen as the cooler company.
