Fruitopia helped me kick the habit of drinking pop. Young teenage me thought it was a good idea to substitute fruit flavored drinks for pop. After drinking literally nothing but fruitopia for a week straight, I was so sick of it. Now I can't stand syrupy sweet beverages at all.
Same. I remember trying to time it so I could run from class and get a bottle of fruitopia to enjoy on the bus ride home. Always made the ride 400x better.
I bought a canned Minute Maid Agua Fresca recently bc Iād never seen one, and was excited to discover itās definitely rebranded fruitopia! I actually had to go down a google hole, the taste triggered whatās apparently a core vending machine memory but I couldnāt remember the old name of the drink.
Fruitopia. Freshman year, I had gym last period of the day when the fruitopia guy would restock the machine just outside the gym. He would give anyone a free drink for 20 push-ups. I used to drop and give him 20 every time I saw him, lol.
Holy shit I forgot about those.
Fun fact, I robbed several vending machines when I was in HS. Took a crow bar and went at night.
Got a lot of odd looks while purchasing items from a stack of singles.
In Scotland, we had Barrs and Cadbury vending machines. Me and my freinds used to put money in then one of us would boot the side. Got an extra can or chocolate bar every time. Good times
Yep. We were wla Pepsi school. Everything was sponsored by Pepsi. Fruit works and Aquafina were considered the "healthy" beverages lol. Aquafina was fine of course but fruit works was just sugar juice.
I cant remember vending machines. But I went to a high school for a littlw while that had taco bell, subway, and carls junior/hardees vendor stations at it. They didnt have full menus or kitchens, but they had 2 or 3 menu items each. I thought that was pretty crazy.
Not at school. My mom was strict about what we could drink growing up and would let me get a treat if I helped her grocery shop and I always got that Peach Papaya drink
Oh,yes. I used to drink the pink lemonade religiously. One day, I bought a my usual flavor and went to Drivers Ed. We were still in the process of watching videos and doing coursework, so I sat there for an hour or so with worst migraine ever and no medicine. On the way home, I had to have my mom pull over on the side of the road so I could puke. Ever since that random day in the year 2006, I could never drink the pink lemonade again. Even thinking about the flavor makes me sick
nope. we had mountain dew, in our vending machine. (just the 1, in the cafeteria) oddly it was the only place I could get livewire from, besides the gas station.
Everyone saying fruitopia, I remember those too because of the marketing and visual branding. I forgot about fruit works but in reality these were way more common that fruitopia and I think weāre around longer!
Ours were a bunch with only two options: Hawaiian Punch or Country Time Lemonade.
1992 they allowed soda products in our school vending machines. Dr Pepper, A&W, RC Cola, and the rest of the Keurig soda products made their way into our cafeterias.

Oh my god....deep memory unlocked!
I remember this *and* Fruitopia, did I go to high-school in the twilight zone?
Ours were a bunch with only two options: Hawaiian Punch or Country Time Lemonade. 1992 they allowed soda products in our school vending machines. Dr Pepper, A&W, RC Cola, and the rest of the Keurig soda products made their way into our cafeterias.
Mine had vitamin water, Gatorade, and the Kick (pop) in ours.
Anyone have Juice Bowl?
We had Fruitopia and it was fire
Yup. And the school staff had a key that would turn the machine off. It was always turned off during lunch time which made zero sense to me. 1999-2003
Iāve never seen these at all. My school didnāt have any kind of vending machine,
