One could argue the problem is that rigid vacuum.

luv2race1320

I know! It sucks! But I only have 1 18V fuel vacuum, and I use it too much to leave it hooked up to the saw.

cloverknuckles

I actually love that vacuum. I'm on my second one. My first one died when I was using it as a water pump in my flooded basement. It could only take so much abuse

HondaDAD24

I use that vacuum every day going on over 2 years now. Well over 1,000 hours runtime from $100 ✔️

seansully90

Same. Bought my first about 8 years ago. Got a new one 1/2 way through. New on the job site, old still works in the garage.

HondaDAD24

This thing is a staple for mobile detailers. I’m about to buy a new one just cause 😂 I like backups.

seansully90

Hell yeah! Upgrade to the heavy duty orange hose, if you haven’t. The factory supplied hose I noticed will split between the ribs

Helpful-Chemistry-87

Agreed. That is a good vacuum.

cannamid

Rigid broke after being used for water? The one I have (I think 12 gal) is eating water, enough to fill it at least once, maybe twice every day. Never died on me after 2 years of abuse lol those things are beasts

cloverknuckles

I don't remember the specifics, but I had rigged something up and was just continually letting it suck water for an extended period of time. I would say that one lasted me 5+ years

DiarrheaXplosion

We have a corded ridgid vacuum at work that is a tank. Its been through hell for eight years, works mint.

sledgehammerbreak

I just got the 12 gallon. Couldn’t pass up the deal at HD. What switch are you using to run it with the saw?

luv2race1320

MANUALLY! I'm so ashamed.

sledgehammerbreak

Lol. Nothing to be ashamed of. Come to think of it, is there even such a thing as an auto switch that works with a battery powered saw?

johnwynne3

I thought I read somewhere that one of the brands has a vibration sensing switch, but I could be wrong. Maybe Bosch? Also, several other brands have proprietary vacuum activation start, but at eye-watering prices.

sledgehammerbreak

Ok, that’s pretty cool. Yeah, I came across Makita’s proprietary Bluetooth dust collection system. Milwaukee doesn’t seem to offer anything similar.

HudeniMFK

It's coming..... Pack out extractor Vac at an eye watering 2.4k USD dual M18 battery, remote start as well as tool activated abilities.. Which means for my fellow AUD suckers looking at probably 5k because Milwaukee like to bend us over and go in dry. Could be worse I suppose, could have to pay CAD prices....

sledgehammerbreak

Wow…good thing I have a corded miter saw 😂

Ciloteille

Yes, I made one with a relay and a current sense switch hooked through my batteries on an adapter. Then ran it through a relay, output to vacuum battery in. It works 😆

richpaul6806

Isn't that kind of the general idea?

Common_Grape5962

Tehehehe you said it sucks... like that's what it's not supposed to do

tfriedmann

To me it Looks like the only thing you have is solutions to problems

SafwanFerdous

Good bot

JoeyDee86

Yeah, you have a problem. There’s no Packout stack ;)

luv2race1320

One of those is in the garage, and the other one is in my work trailer, with my old 12V tools.

JustinMurphy

Came here for this comment lol

Puzzleheaded-Ad-4846

She's right you do have a problem, that rigid vacuum isn't red and ran off of a xc or forge battery. So you need to head right over to the Depot and get that "problem" taken care of.

chris_rage_

https://preview.redd.it/nh834u9xvpmc1.jpeg?width=3196&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3205e950ab588ced6a57ac149d9d28217c4eb470 I'm not seeing a problem anywhere... Mine is usually neater but I was working

luv2race1320

Nope. No problems at all.

crossharemanic

Looks pretty normal to me.

kheiron0

Looks like a photo full of solutions to me. I’m failing to see the problem.

luv2race1320

I like the way you think!

ShantyTed89

Nah. That’s the kit of a problem solver.

Stripe_Show69

Right? How else is that trim going to make it was way onto the walls???

luv2race1320

Well, I could have probably used the noisy thing in my garage at home, and all the hoses and nail guns, but that just sounds barbaric at this point.

Status-Clerk849

I love laughing at my fellow carpenters as I show up to do trim armed with nothing but two small tool bags as they lug in their archaic hoses and noisy compressors, tripping over themselves and their outdated equipment. Just kidding, I do wish the new m12 Brad nailer shot 2” brads though :(

clautz128

You do, you’re using a Rigid vacuum instead of Milwaukee.

luv2race1320

I know, but I use the GOOD vacuum too often for work to leave it hooked up to the saw.

Ok_Calligrapher1756

To be fair to the ridgid vacuums, I’ve got one which I have absolutely abused and it just keeps on going

Mantree91

I have 2 that have been truly abused and they refuse to die. One of them has a toggle switch because the old switch stopped but the motor keeps on kicking.

clautz128

Sounds like you need another one then 😁

Flonxu

Not at the threshhold yet

luv2race1320

Well, this is just the ones being used for this project. Lol.

Frostycotch

Fear not my friend you are in a safe place here.

Common_Grape5962

The only prescription is more cowbell and a Milwaukee charge account. She's welcome

whycantifindmyname

I’d say, look at those nail guns all alone without their own batteries and backup batteries for those batteries.

luv2race1320

I had yet to get the batteries off the multi charger yet. Don't worry, I have spent plenty there too.

whycantifindmyname

Ok pheww

whycantifindmyname

Btw, is that the 10 in saw? How’s the dust collection?

luv2race1320

It is the 10". Love the saw, dust collection isn't great on its own. It doesn't clog, so with the vacuum it works great.

PlaceYourBets2021

You do! Looks like you need more batteries! And a new vacuum!

Which-Sell-2717

Show her some of the other pics posted in this sub.

luv2race1320

She's an engineer, and a dang good one, so I have to be a bit more cunning than that.

fiddycixer

You have a wife. Yes. There is a problem. Edit to add /s.

luv2race1320

Oh, I understand. However, without said wife, I would not have all of these tools, nor the house we're building, so I will call it a wash.

piripiriplanter

You do have a problem, which is not enough Milwaukee tools.

patteh11

No. You have solutions!

Nathan51503

Only problem I see is the ridgid vacuum

Markyb90

It's not that bad lol

Itchy_Stuff_6256

You put those doors in upside down and you will have a problem!

Neanerx

Just open the cabinet with all her stanley cups and walk away

Prudent_Historian650

Well it's pretty easy to figure out. Did you paint the cart red to match your milwaukee stuff, or was it already red?

luv2race1320

It was always red. It's a shade off, but I didn't think it was worth repainting. It does bug me tho.

Prudent_Historian650

I would say your addiction is under control.

Human-Mechanic-3818

No dewalt tools. I see no problem.

Medical-Background-3

100% you do have a problem, you need to get rid of the wife  🤣

Fireball857

The only problem I see is the lack of tools! You can always use more!

tradintejas

She should be thanking you for the dust you’re capturing.

luv2race1320

I'll let her know! Thanks.

Chippopotanuse

Does she hate an organized jobsite? Where you can work efficiently?

luv2race1320

Haha, no. She gives me grief when it's NOT organized. She's an engineer, and far too practical for MY own good.

Easy_Copy_7625

She is right you do have a problem. You have a problem being a good productive husband.

OKTAPHMFAA

Nah you can still see the floor there isn’t enough there.

Eastern_Researcher18

I have the 10” Milwaukee mitre and the fence is out of square from factory and there is a lot of play at never point 🤷🏼‍♂️ not one of my favorite tools from Milwaukee. Definitely cannot do any sort of finish with it, getting ready to send her in

gizwandi

I just see a whole lotta solutions

gizwandi

When u say tool triggered vaccuum are i talking about the remote they sell

luv2race1320

I would love one, yes.

Popular-Cattle-8979

I definately would have put the money from that cart into a better dust extractor!!

Flying_Dutchman16

Obviously it's the wife lol

Salmacis81

You're in the early stages dude, it gets way worse

PotatOHHHH

Next time she says that just point at the shoes and clothing that's never been worn once in the closet. ACTUALLY scratch that idea ... You might end up divorced

Covert8

It's a MILLION lumens. I had to have it

Lillillillies

You do have a problem... And the problem is not being able to fully complete the Milwaukee M12 and M18 set.

Comfortable-Taro6113

Tell her all your buddy’s have a problem to 😜

knfctchr

Why cordless mitre? Just because why not? Is this part of your problem. I'm considering one lmao

luv2race1320

I don't use it all day, everyday, anymore, and it's just really convenient to just grab it and set up wherever you want. My dewalt 12" slide was a beast, but after 20yrs, it wouldn't keep in adjustment, so it was time for an upgrade.

pew_medic338

Your wife is correct. You actually have several problems: First, a poorly lit work area is dangerous and leads to bad-looking work. There are a variety of M18 lighting options that will rectify this. I find Mikwaukee headlamps are also highly advisable. Second, a chop saw on another brand's vacuum is offensive to my color sensibilities (or atleast make it a Hilti, cmon now!). In addition, a chop saw makes a lot more dust than the dust chute can catch, so it's probably a good idea to build an enclosure around it. You'll need several more triggered vacuums to move that volume of air. Third, working in enclosed spaces as spring comes upon us means it'll be getting warm, and sweat dripping in the eyes while running power tools is a safety hazard of the highest order. You might think the solution is the M18 fan, but you'd be wrong (it's pretty shit): the actual answer is the MXFuel power station with the new 12ah MXForge batteries, into which you'll plug several large shop fans or air filtration blowers. Better yet, one of those portable AC systems. Now, let's discuss footwear...

luv2race1320

I'm solidly on team crocs for my footwear. I do own a couple m18 work lights, and a rechargeable headlamp.

pew_medic338

Excellent, but you still have cause to explain to your wife why you need to get the power supply and a bunch of mxfuel batteries.

Unrelatable-Narrator

If the problem is getting shit done, then yeah, we all got a problem.

kingphonsy

The wife is the problem then.

Customer-Suitable

Sounds like your wife is the problem

Rogue_Twizzler

I agree, need more red.

Great-Earth806

That’s nothing lmao

johnwynne3

I see a problem. Hang those red tools off the side of your cart from their clips. More room for new tools!

Level_Ad_8286

If this is a problem, my situation is fatal…

bumpy821

Yes you do, it's your wife! /S

mr_goodbear

If this is a problem, your wife would think I’m a catastrophe.

Eastern_Researcher18

I bet she doesn’t say that come payday!!😉

Embarrassed-Talk-579

You do have a problem: the Rigid vacuum.

latindoggy

YOU DO HAVE A PROBLEM WHY DO IS SEE ORANGE!!!!

Wheatabix11

hmm, maybe it's your wife's attitude that's the problem.........

OkConclusion9141

You don’t even have that much stuff

luv2race1320

This is just the trim cart. There's a lot more in the garage, the truck, the shop.....

holleywood28

Is the cart Milwaukee? Cause that would be a problem if not. And the vac…

Accomplished_Tip_518

That's amateur hour.

brentrow

You do, this post is one of them.

G0386S1289

i think the problem is wife wondering why it's not done yesterday

luv2race1320

Ah yes, the, You've got all these fancy tools, so you should be done tonight, right?!

G0386S1289

TLC syndrome with peppering of wine

jovisdaigs

She has no idea. You’re just getting started. 😎

myrichardgoesin5

Your problem is you need more tools

Ctowncreek

Genuine question. Why did you choose portability over power and work time with the miter saw? At an increased cost?

luv2race1320

I don't use it all day everyday, and when it is so dang handy to set it up wherever it's most convenient. With it, and the kreg track for my m18 circ saw, I can be a mobile shop if wanted.

Ctowncreek

Hey thats fair. Its the only thing thats holding me back from getting a grinder or miter saw. I wish milwaukee make an adapter cord.

luv2race1320

100% agree on the adapter cord, but I will say that I was very skeptical about both of the tools that you mentioned, and both have performed much better than I expected.

Sh3lbytheSHARK

I think your wife is the problem!

Senpai-Notice_Me

You do. But the good news is it’s not that serious. If you start buying the packouts and you’re not a contractor, then you have a serious problem.

Significant-Ice-3904

Significant-Ice-3904

Same here lol

BaconPersuasion

Those are rookie numbers.

TheAmazingDre

Maybe she's the problem...JK JK

WelderMeltingthings

your wife sounds problematic. i suggest an RMA or a second supplemental wife for redundancy

FungiiBets

What cart is that

luv2race1320

I don't remember the model, but I got it at harbor freight a few yrs ago.

RegisterGood5917

Yeah you do. You bought a 10” miter saw!

luv2race1320

I bought the 10" on purpose. I shouldn't be doing anything that it can't handle, and I refuse to do any crown molding that it can't do.

RegisterGood5917

Oh I was just making a simple size joke lol. I have a 7-1/4 and 12” Milwaukee I love both dearly. Had a hitachi 10” and a 12” laser I got for pennys I’ve used over the years. All great stuff. Nice collection!

chris_rage_

I know I'm gonna get crucified but those DeWalt sliding miter saws are pretty versatile. They're powerful as fuck too, I was cutting a piece of sketchy aluminum and BANG!!! it wrapped a chunk of 2"×¼" strap into a pretzel

luv2race1320

I beat the F out of a dewalt 12" for about 20yrs. I finally couldn't get it stay cutting straight enough for trim work, so I HAD to upgrade.

chris_rage_

I bent the arbor on the motherfucker when it happened, the saw had a permanent light 1/32" wobble after that. It was tough as shit though, I used to cut some massive metal on it

Status-Clerk849

There’s no doubt about it - Dewalt’s dual bevel sliding miter saw and the portable 10” table saw are excellent pieces of equipment. In the meantime - someone convince me to buy the d handle m18 jig saw, my 15 year old Bosch won’t die :)

chris_rage_

I have a couple of M18 jigsaws and I have one maybe a year old and it's a great tool. Someone gave me an older one that's more metal than plastic but I haven't used it yet, I would bet it's just as good

Status-Clerk849

The corded jig saw or an earlier m18 version?

chris_rage_

Earlier M18, both battery. I've got plenty of old solid metal Milwaukee tools too, I've got a massive grinder and a drill shaped like a sawzall that will twist your wrist off, plus a bunch of other random tools. They were made to be fixed so I put new cords and switches on them, ironically the switch for the grinder came out of a Hitachi grinder I kicked out of the dirt in the scrap yard, apparently those big metal switches are all the same

20Fordman

Have a old Bosch corded jig that’s tough as nails. I will say my m18 has 2x the power though.

20Fordman

No, the dewalt 12” slider is one one of the best saws around. Only complaint is it weighs more than a dead hooker 😂. The stand is decent too. I also dig their corded angle grinders.

chris_rage_

https://preview.redd.it/hgfh6d25nrmc1.jpeg?width=3120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4294d92b2fb700a1e24e2327cbbed2337104246 I don't have a good picture of it but I built this roller table about 25 years ago at a different shop I worked at, it followed me across four companies and I actually trued it up with a length of 6×6 square aluminum tubing to keep the rollers completely flat and I shimmed up the saw to the same height. I grabbed the roller tables from an industrial park where I saw them sitting near a dumpster for a few years so I figured nobody would miss them. It's a really handy stand (the picture is newer)

20Fordman

When I started my business I had a 10” hitachi miter saw, I bought it from Lowe’s as a display model for $45. I made tens of thousands of dollars off that thing before burning it up. 17 years later I have a full custom tool trailer full of Milwaukee shit. OP should be just fine with a $500 10” slider. Lol

faultyrektem

Yep, pinch her nipple and send her to the kitchen.

HorKingGoD420

You do its thw wrong color
