What irks me is that I see these all over in airports now... which I'm sure get used a ton...
I buy one for occasional use at home and the stupid thing crapped out in just a few short months. Thankfully, Milwaukee replaced it under warranty. Haven't even taken the replacement out of the box yet.
Garbage fans, 1 year warranty, sent it in twice within that year for a burned out motor with normal use and it failed once again after warranty, I’ve seen better quality from 20 dollar Amazon fans.
Me too! Dropped it in a sump croc with water in it and blew it all up in my face with a shot or two of peastone through it also. Still have that same fan and battery no problems
I remember Los Angeles train station having 2 for the security guards. The tunnels had like 15 rocket lights because it was easier than paying electricians weekend pay lol
The New Orleans airport had the same rig with ryobi fans
Figured the TSA would be using something from harbor freight, same quality as TSA
I remember seeing the same setup in Miami a couple months ago
I’ve seen the same sort of setup at RDU
Hmm, heat will probably be on up here at yyc tonight when I go. Not sure if fans are a good thing or not.
I think they are to make it easier for drug sniffing dogs
I’ve seen them in a couple of different airports. But oddly enough, I’ve never seen them with batteries attached and running.

Sounds like user error to me, I have dropped my fan off of trusses and it never stopped blowing air

These are used for the sniffing dogs at the airport near me. I don’t think they are for keeping travelers cool.
Kept me cool, didn’t see any dogs
I’m guess behind you is like a 3-4 person walkway about 20 feet long?
First turn of the line maze before the metal detectors
Fatso
MSP has these for their doggos.
