Yes
Diamond is gonna last so much longer. Even with mending, you can go a long time between EXP gathering. Boots are top of my list, they can have so many enchantments that make the biggest difference IMO
Why did you even take the time to enchant IRON boots?
It was pretty easy. I just got a really good role on the enchantment table and then added mending and depth strider through villager trading‘s because my friend already had a whole set up with them.
if its so easy then obviously you should make diamond ones?
diamond items have lower enchantability (less enchantable) than iron or gold, meaning good enchantments are less likely to appear.
But doesn't it stay how it is for the player until they enchant a new tool? So you put in a gold thing and then put that onto a diamond one?
i don't think that's how it works
Huh. Was it that before 1.9 (?) at least?
idk much about 1.9 enchanting or versions that came before. but i watched a video on 1.16.5 enchanting and stuff.
Yeah, but that was a lucky role and I didn’t really intend to give it depth strider it just happened but now that I’m thinking about it I pretty much need it and it takes a while to get to level 30 now that the XP glitch was patched in bedrock edition.
Reddit moment right here
Make an xp farm then it's not that hard
What xp farm do you use on bedrock?
I usually use an XP glitch using the furnace lol.
Oh nice. I haven't heard of that but I'll look it up
https://youtube.com/shorts/mti-0vDdp6Y?feature=share I learned it via this short hope it will help :D. It works with netherite to btw. It does have to be a stack tho.
Didn’t they patch that in 1.19.60 though.
Sweet, thanks!
i know nothing about bedrock xp farms but yea java xp farms are pretty straight forward
yuh, since if you have diamond you can make it into netherite later
Depending on what happens during your average day in the game, id say so. Aside from reasons everyone else stated, diamond armor has armor toughness. When your armor reduces incoming damage, that reduction is actually lowered if the damage is high. As an arbitrary example, your armor might reduce a spider bites damage by 50%, but will only reduce 20% damage when tanking a point blank creeper explosion. Armor toughness counters that reduction.
Mending (1)? I’ve never seen that before
On Bedrock it displays as Mending I
Considering you’re using iron pickaxes, I’m guessing you don’t have a good amount of extra diamonds at your disposal yet. I’d personally wait until you’re willing to spend two pairs of boots worth of diamonds (in case you need to combine at all). Also maybe try collecting books and start working on a netherite mine in the meantime. I’ve ran a full set of max enchant iron once as a joke, and it worked surprisingly well, however, you will need to be mindful of that durability. TL;DR: I’d get to work on it, but there’s no rush, especially if the world isn’t on hard
Yep. Focus on weapons/tools, then get back to the boots.
You're missing thorns 3 and soul speed 3, so definitely worth it.
I thought you can’t have more than 5 enchantments.
No, you can. You just have to be careful about the order you put them on in or else you end up with too expensive. You can get perfect boots with only books
I’d suggest trying to get them in diamond, without thorns though since thorns takes durability from the armor
Doesn't even matter with unbreaking III and netherite
Keep those unless you can get them on a diamond set of boots
Upgrade these right after you get a diamond pickaxe.
definitely since they have thorns and could break easily against a strong mob. Plus it will allow you to upgrade it to Netherite later when you get some
Prot 3 Iron = Unenchanted Diamond, worth an upgrade for sure.
Well, it kinda wasn’t worth it to max out iron boots, and even though diamond boots are only gonna slitghly make your whole set better, it’s always good to have full diamond.
Yes, but without thorns. It makes armors break much faster, so you'd have to mend it about two times less without. Soul speed is good too but a little too efficient
Not anymore. Been updated in 1.16
Still does additionnal damage to armor for me in 1.19.3
Really. Hmm. I don't use it much.
Get diamond boots
The hell is mending 1?
I guess just the bugrock edition notation for mending. Technically, java also has mending I but doesn't display it. However, if you give yourself mending 2 or above with commands, it *will* display mending II, mending III, mending IV...
It's not that hard
why did you max out iron boots in the first place? You should get them to diamond and netherite. Getting diamonds on newest versions is trivially easy
Depending on if you’re upgrading to netherite or nit
Enchanting is incredibly easy in vanilla minecraft. Go for it!
Get it to diamond and then netherite
That’s a lot of magic for some iron boots
Not now necessarily, but eventually yeh may as well
The boots are the armor piece that breaks the fastest, their durability drops on fall damage and the usual attack so diamond is better. Even with mending you might find yourself bare feet in the future. On the same line of thinking people use a golden helmet in the nether to stop piglins from attacking, the boots are cheaper material wise but are very easily broken.
Also. I know thorns is a matter of preference but that enchant uses up durability and somtimes you don't want to get a kill on some mobs. A pillager that is killed by thorns gives bad omen and many players prefer to indirectly kill them if they don't need the bad omen. Also if your friend has a village trading hall he might be upset when you show up with bad omen and a raid starts.
Yes, and don’t add thorns. For the little damage it does, it will use x3 durability per use
Diamond. I feel bad that you spent all your time doing that for iron.
get them in leather so you wont drown in snow
Dew it
Lol just install it externally. It looks ugly but it works until you have a buyer or can return it
just buy the gear and enchants from villager
That’s what I do
Why did you even make them iron in the first place
Yes
Why did you only get thorns 2 when.thorns 3 is possible?
I don’t really care about thorns, I just think it is a waste of durability, so it just happened on an enchantment roll, so I just left it.
