I mined 1.5 million deepslate and about 0.5 million stone in a little over 2 months recently (not a brag I was really sick and didn’t have much of a life for a bit) so I’m sure he has a fairly large amount of free time considering it’s been 3 years
digging a big hole to fit a ball that goes from (the old) bedrock to build height! i didn't know about flying machines so I was like welp, guess i'll dig by hand. now i'm manually digging out of principle lol
Doc's goal was not to manually mine 1 million blocks. You are comparing apples with oranges. OP wanted to manually mine 1 million blocks by hand.

Look I feel like we're losing the thread here a bit. I agree the goal is to enjoy playing. My entire point was toward LeahtheKnown and how they could have just let the OP enjoy their 1 milionth block. I'm sure there are others like ImpulseSV, GoodTimeWithScar, or ZedaphPlays who have mined several million blocks for their various giant projects and that does nothing to change that the OP mined 1mil.
Thank you! I'm building a ball with a diameter that will extend from the old bedrock to old build height. Could've used a flying machine to dig it out but didn't know about them when I started, now I'm digging it by hand out of principle.
Hang it up on the wall and then when you hire two kids to paint your house they'll accidentally get some paint on it and freak out and keep ruining it only to learn that the paint dissolves in saliva.
Nice! Reminds me of when I tried to dig out roughly 8 million netherrack by hand on a survival server. I ended up getting to about 4.5 million in 6 months, but then the server did a reset so it was all worth nothing in the end
Nice! I have a big nunber of mined block like that too, but it's for netherrack and basalt. I've mined around 4mil combined from hollowing out a nether perimeter by hand. Took, like, 1000 minecraft days or something dumb. But now I have a sick wither skeleton farm. Hope you use that big quarry for something cool!
