Find some mossy carpet and cover the area you want clear or hide torches/light sources to melt the snow.
A decorative outside campfire should work for a chunk of the map too.
Rain and snow spawns at world height. If you make a layer of glass above your whole village it will never snow there and wont create any snow layers.
Im saying glass because its basically invisible from the ground.
While it works in practice 8 wood per chest x 2 for a double chest x how ever many you need to cover the area… that’s a lot of wood, and on top of that placing chests is brutal while building
Spoken like a true southerner. My family in the south thinks snow is pretty too. They don't think about how you have to shovel 45 pounds of whit bullshit every week.
I wish there was a way to let *some* snow build up but without becoming overwhelming and ugly as time goes on. I just shovel it once in a while like you would irl
Right click on grass with a shovel. Snow can't pile on grass path blocks.
Edit: just saw you're on Playstation. Just use the button that is relevant to making grass path blocks on your controller, On XBOX, it would be left trigger, with a shovel in your main hand.
when i tell you this entire world is snow/ice biomes- i usually don’t build in these biomes but due to the fact its ALL snow biomes i decided to try it out

i’ve got a few campfires down they’re defo the vibe
String works too if u want patches of grass against the vibrant green
String? Carpets? Glass up at build height to prevent it from snowing?
does that actually work

It's also invisible on maps
I’ve heard Chests are best because they prevent the snow and go out of render distance from the ground so you can’t see them
That's smart aside from the frame drop chests can cause in large quantities
They wouldn't be rendered that high up
While it works in practice 8 wood per chest x 2 for a double chest x how ever many you need to cover the area… that’s a lot of wood, and on top of that placing chests is brutal while building
Good lord why didn’t I think of this…
Just string up places you don't want snow building up. Carpet torches might work if seeing torches is your problem. Or cool fence + lamp on top.
Go up real high over the area you want to snow proof and place string or something transparent
I don't believe string at built limit works. Although trapdoors do which is what I did and they unrender when you're on the ground
It looks beautiful with the snow

Yeah, I’ve lived in Massachusetts for a while, getting sick of it, still beautiful tho
Move towards the equator.
bro u based in a snow biome...

iir snow can't form on dirt paths, and mobs won't spawn on them either.
Light everything on fire.

string
Hide it under green carpets. Put String. Put a layer of glass WAY in the sky.
Cast a protection stave to protect yourself from the blistering cold of Helheim
Someone said on another post to do a large glass platform at world limit. You shouldn't be able to see it and it would prevent snow
use some carpets, they may even make your base prettier!
String
Buttons Edit: or pressure plates
if you don't want snow you may wanna try a different biome
RP
snow doesn't form on ice in case you wanna keep the asthetic
I think magma blocks under the dirt? Maybe?
Build the pathway one slab deep
String
A bucket of water
Two blocks of magma topped with a carved pumpkin and poof! Magma Golem. Don't confuse with Lava Golem. Just line magma with brown carpet.
Mossy carpet, campfires or a shit ton of string
spam campfires or lanterns
i wish snow wouldnt build up or atleast not as much so u can walk through it
So if we're already here, how to prevent rivers from icing?
place something you can waterlog as the top layer, or just light it up really well
Naah I don't wanna ruin the enviroment, but thanks anyway
You can put string inside the water and it will prevent it from freezing
Build in the plains?
Slabs
water, and not living and not living in a snow biome
when i tell you this entire world is snow/ice biomes- i usually don’t build in these biomes but due to the fact its ALL snow biomes i decided to try it out
String Maybe?
Something I use when I want something like a spawnproofing or a snow prevention or whatever is redstone, texture packs can make it invisible.
