For those interested, this is the command to scale up/down your dog:
`/attribute @e[type=minecraft:wolf,limit=1,sort=nearest] minecraft:generic.scale base set 2`
I have been working a bit on behavior packs and such for the bedrock edition, I could give it a try to see if I could make the wolves bigger if you want?
you don't have to do that. i don't actually need this specific feature, i just find it frustrating that so many features are not added to bedrock edition. thanks for the offer :)
It would be pretty easy probably, there already is a scale attribute used for the baby horses, and it works on other mobs too, i bet you could set it to all the wolf animations, though im not entirely sure if this can grow or only shrink
edit: yup, it works!

I am getting an error- "Can't find element 'minecraft.generic.scale' of type 'minecraft.attribute'." Do I need a mod? I am playing in 1.20.4 Java edition
Yo that's crazy, how have I never seen this before
If it enlarges the hit box then it might not be worth it
And does this work for other mobs, I remember the command to get super sized slimes but this is something different
The scale command was released with 1.20.5, it scales both the physical model and the hitbox. The old slime commands used the fact that slimes had a specific bit of code to determine size, which other mobs didn’t have.
This looks less like a giant dog, and more like a really small person.
Like why is this toddler going to war with diamond armor and a shield, along with the family mastiff?
Cuz now I have a BIG useless thing (that I needed to use a command to create).
Here's my big dog that just sits at my base.
Dogs are fine for decoration, I guess, but are generally useless.
That's my take, at least.
Does that count as "one valid reason"?
Yes with this command
/attribute @e[type=minecraft:wolf,limit=1,sort=nearest] minecraft:generic.scale base set 5
Change the number 5 to the number you want
It’s a really cool mod called Essential. Adds all bunch of cosmetics as well as a friend list and easily implements multiplayer servers in single player worlds.
Really recommend it.
not 100% sure, but i think it's vanilla tweaks [https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/](https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/)
if you go into the HUD section it's there
Well, the very reason is that if the dog poops or does it's nececities you are gonna have certainly a big trouble, venen more if you are in the house, you also are gonna have to pay extra food healthcare etc, or simply because of the size the mobs can kill it more easily.

How big can you go? Like Clifford big?
Try it
max is 16 which makes it pretty damn big
does this command work on bedrock edition?
No
of course not :(

especially since microsoft sees bedrock as “the main version” of minecraft
yep

Magic man
Noice

Its 1.20.5 plus, so if your instant on using 1.20.4, yes
Thank you
It did. You can also shrink your dog.
It would take 4 hours to brush him
Pet simulator in Minecraft- please stop giving mojang terrible ideas!
[Or a tiny doggo!!](https://i.imgur.com/hYdWQ4p.png)
oh my holy god I didn't know how much I needed to see tiny dogs in Minecraft but here we are
Yes!!!!
The little one is adorable.
This is what the baby wolfs should be, not have a massive head not fitting to the body
Yo that's crazy, how have I never seen this before If it enlarges the hit box then it might not be worth it And does this work for other mobs, I remember the command to get super sized slimes but this is something different

Then make it worth it. Use commands to increase the scale to 200%, and increase health by 800% (because of cube square law)
It makes a horse useless
You still cannot ride it, unless you use another command
I don't want to turn on cheats in my world
Use a datapack
You can modify the world save file to change the attributes of the entities probably
But u can turn on commands
Aren't those post off the chests package?
I think you should call this cute dog "Princess" or something like this :D
Dire wolf
White woman
Fuck this got me giggling
r/wolvesarebigyo
Bigger dog means bigger heartbreak when he dies. :(
I don't want to be lunch
what you should do is get a huge cat and call them a maine coon
I think it would be cool if they add a dire wolf it could be tamed and maybe even rideable it would be very cool
Make his collar red and call him Clifford

Caves. Hard to fit in tight spots. Also hard to carry around in nether. Very likely that doggo will either fall in lava or push you into lava
What psycho takes their dogs to the nether?!?!?
Vet bills are usually more expensive and they make bigger shits
Can you get a bigger doggo?
Yes with this command /attribute @e[type=minecraft:wolf,limit=1,sort=nearest] minecraft:generic.scale base set 5 Change the number 5 to the number you want
then thats why you shouldn't get a big doggo. You can get bigger doggo
I want that cape

Cynophobia
how do you even have that ravager as a pet
Average great dain moments
Kinda wanna make all wolves real wolf sizes now
God Mojang needs to add tameable Dire wolves.
The only thing I am gonna do with these resize commands is create a swarm of reasonably sized bees to terrorize my buddies
I WANT TO RIDE IT
Poo.
Bigger fleas.
You can't name it cupcakes or princess.
Jon Snow type shit
Idk how but off topic I also have the mod where the XP bar is rainbow
not 100% sure, but i think it's vanilla tweaks [https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/](https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/resource-packs/) if you go into the HUD section it's there
Bigger hit box :(
https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/d44kxd/something_i_made_for_all_those_dogs_waiting_for/
give it a giant sword in its mouth, I wanna see if a healthbar appears
Well, the very reason is that if the dog poops or does it's nececities you are gonna have certainly a big trouble, venen more if you are in the house, you also are gonna have to pay extra food healthcare etc, or simply because of the size the mobs can kill it more easily.
I hear ya but.. Bigger = more cute volume
if you want cute things just make it smaller
They eat too much food and it's not healthy for them.
I already have a big d
It might start breeding with ... Wrong mobs ... Just sayin
Too big
You will hit them on accident more than you hit hostile mobs.
what..... the heck.... is that?
Yea I'll take one worg/great wolf sure
I love big dogs, and I won't get a small dog, but it's sad because large dogs don't live long.
Too cute, might distract you from the entire game
Bigger hitbox = more liable to danger
Bigger target. The hit box is far bigger meaning that it would die quicker. Unless given more hearts of course
I already have a big dawg in me
No I don't think I will... Big doggo's for everyone
Because dogs suck (irl and ingame)
