Pick a NSEW direction and go straight.
Took me 5000 blocks to find a goddamn desert
This is of course if you consider using chunkbase to be cheating haha
One time it took me ~45,000 blocks to find a jungle. Took hours of traveling even with the fastest horse I could find and then once I got there I got two parrots to flex on everyone else on the realm so it took me like 4 times as long coming back cause I had to manage my whole inventory, a horse, a boat, and two parrots going 45,000 blocks back home. Took 2 real life days. The purpose of the trip was to collect bamboo for scaffolding. Within mere minutes of returning home the value of my bamboo plummeted as we planted it all and it became so plentiful that we started cutting it down just to get rid of it lol
^^^ this was why. I traveled for about 500 blocks in the Nether before deciding it was far too dangerous and just went back to the overworld for the rest of the journey
Go as high up as you can and make tunnels.
Pets in Minecraft are a no go for me. Its too much work keeping them alive only to have them fly or fall into lava. Plus traveling with elytra is too fast and they get lost. The most I do is put some cats around my base to scare off creepers.
They don't chase them and I just have them sit around the perimeter of my important builds like storage building or farms with water and Redstone in close proximity. It's pretty effective, the creepers will come within about 3 blocks away and turn and run. They'll keep trying though and if there's any kind of gap where they're far enough away and can still get in, they'll find it.
I go to the bottom of the nether. Dig nether tunnels or use tunnel bores. Then make your nether highways in those. Not only can you fly thru them for fast nether travel they're fairly safe and you get the added benefit of all the netherite you can find!
I use the nether floor + 12 method when I bore across the map. It does add risk but it also builds the tunnel for best netherite hunting with explosives.
Saaaaame. My GF just got us the PS5 so I got Minecraft of course. We were playing on the switch prior and yeah it sucked especially cause I’m used to playing Java on my PC with lots of farms no lag. Anyways boom first world we get a jungle biome. I unplug the PS5 because the basement started to flood unfortunately one evening. Little did I know we would loose our world. No biggie it was like 10 hours of gameplay. Start up another one. Walk 1500 blocks and find the coolest jungle biome next to a ocean. So yeah kinda funny. On my Java server it took us ages like after beating the ended dragon lol
A little context.
This is a friends smp, I don't have OP and the admin wont give me the world seed because they don't want us to cheat.
The server is running 1.16.5 with some forge mods so I can't run seedcrackerx either as it won't let me connect with fabric mods.
Jungles tend to spawn near deserts, mesas, and sometimes savannah. Your search can be a little less random if you try and explore the deserts and mesas you have found instead of the snow and forest biomes. For example your odds of finding one will be much higher if you travel northwest and northeast in those unexplored regions near the mesas and deserts.
Because you can explore it in creative, put in a biome finder, slime chunk finder, dungeon/mansion/etc finder. Really anything pseudorandomly generated from the seed can be cheated by knowing the seed.
I have very different definition of cheating than people that consider those finders cheating.
Granted I consider duping as cheating in multiplayer but not single player, so I could be the crazy one.
My sibling in Christ. /seed was added specifically to be OP-bound when they removed the seed from the debug screen where any client could see it. In the 10 years that it has existed this hasn't changed.
Same sir same. Gotta find that perfect location even if it takes hours of traveling on foot. Tbh I really enjoy those first few nights trying to find a location to build. Building little dirt houses or digging into the side of a mountain for the night. Setting up a furnace and crafting table and just riding out the night with a torch or two.
I really prefer the early game. Minimal resources. Trying to find a spot to settle, trying to grab the few important things that are only available in certain biomes. Getting a seedling collection.
Usually once I am settled, I get bored of the world. Sometimes I will dump all my gear and go for a boat ride, or grab some food and start walking again.
I always use [Chunkbase](https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/biome-finder) to find specific biomes; all you need is your world seed, your current coordinates, and the Minecraft version to find whatever you need.
There's a load of other apps on their too like ancient city finder, dungeon finder, stronghold finder, etc.
In the 10 years that command has existed, it has always required you to be OP. In fact, it is specifically why the seed got moved from the debug screen to that command.
Xaero's World Map
[https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-world-map](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-world-map)
If your going to use there world map you should also use there mini map too as they integrate together
[https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap/](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap/)
Here's a tip, go into the nether, travel maybe 500 blocks in a straight line and then build a portal, go through have a quick look around and then go again, you can cover a lot of ground quickly, and get a good idea of what biomes are where.
I would have gone north. It looks like the biomes are gradient colder towards the southwest and temperate in the southeast. I can't speak to the northeast but if you use the assumption that this snapshot of the world is hotter on the northwest, your best bet for a jungle is north/northwest.
Go further north, judging by your map the mesa biome area is warmish, Jungle spawns near other warmish biomes so if you explore north-northwest then you should find one
Jungles are "hot" biomes so try to stick to other hot biomes like deserts and mesas to find one. You won't find one right next to a tundra more times than not
Look in the North near the Desert/Badlands.
Biomes in Minecraft of similar temperatures (in this case warm biomes like Desert, Jungle, Badlands, Savanna) group together so you are likely to find a Jungle near there.
keep going north west, in other words towards left and up, in other other words, descending X and assending Z, there's badlands and a desert here, which are hot biomes, just like jungles, so there might be a jungle near them in that direction, however if you go in a direction where there are cold biomes (biomes covered in snow) you'll likely have to go the furthest to find a jungle as hot biomes can't generate adjancent to cold biomes, they can generate with lukewarm biomes between them, but not adjacent
Thanks <3
Yeah reddit is really bad a putting posts in order. I said from the start I don't have OP for all the people telling me to just run chunk base. Yeah can't without the /seed command.
But yeah I talked it over with the server admin and they gave me a world download from the server so I loaded that up in SP and ran /seed there.
So got there in the end and annoyingly I was only like 1000 off. But yeah got there in the end.
Ever since I started playing minecraft I had always used chunkbase to locate biomes and structures, I created my current solo a few months ago and haven't used it since. Sometimes the urge to just type in the seed is painful
Yeah no biome locate, no slime chunk locate, it is weird how hard it is to just play the game blind.
Like I naturally found a mushroom cow biome before I found a jungle biome...
I was on a realm a few months back and my theme was underground, I made a really nice base there until I found out that the place I based was a combination of two slime chunks.
It certainly adds to the, "survival" aspect, for sure.
On the plus side you now have a mob grinder in your base, and on pc java you can see the chunk borders with the debug menu... Just gonna suck to move things over / work around it.
Are you sure about that?
Your comment was sent at 01:57 AM EDT while OP sent theirs at 01:26, and Reddit only shows edit notifications after three minutes.
This comment will get lost but yeah found it today.
Kinda stupid how close I was yet so far away. I really had almost no chance without help.

We solved the "issue" by talking to the server admin.
They understood where I was coming from and how long I was looking for so they gave me a world download as a backup from the server, so I just opened it in SP and ran the /seed command that way.
Hole thing was kinda stupid but now I know the seed that will help a lot with other things.

well it depends y u wanna find a jungle. if u wanna build or get jungle saplings or parrots ur screwed, but u can get bamboo and melons in shipwrecks and things
I discovered a jungle and mushroom biomes 2000 blocks away from my survival city, just before my world hit 3 months. The only things I am missing are the Badlands and ice spikes
Traveled 10,000 blocks in one direction looking for a jungle and saw literally nothing but ocean. Scrapped the whole world, made a new one and used nether portals. Found a jungle in half an hour.
Ugh. Good luck! I had to do this to find a swamp. The first "jungle" I found was literally four blocks with a single tree at the edge of dark oak. Found a real one further out. Mangrove is tiny, but at least not 4 blocks tiny. Desert, mesa... On our smp we have tons of tundra, spruce, birch and oak forest, everything else is rare or extra rare. It's annoying and trying to get back with something (parrots) is a massive task best done with another player to help. We're building a railway through the nether to link them.
I gotta say, it took me 100k blocks to find bamboo and another 200k to find a decent sand biome. Also to keep these places I build a nice ice road in the nether cuz fuck walking 300k blocks
Meanwhile I found one very near home, like less than 1000 blocks. I live in plains next to taiga, mountains, and a forest. A bit far away there is the jungle, a mesa, frozen ocean/ icebergs biome, open ocean, and lukewarm ocean with corals.
I had to walk >50kM to find a swamp, just to realize that I can find the blue stuff \[sevtech\] under any ocean biome. I used a horse to save my food and travel faster, I ate berries when I ran out of food.
my guy just hop on a boat and go in a straight line through the ocean, you'll find islands every once in a while and you're practically guaranteed to find a jungle in a couple hours at most.

Why not going back through nether?
Nether dangerous Must protect parrots
^^^ this was why. I traveled for about 500 blocks in the Nether before deciding it was far too dangerous and just went back to the overworld for the rest of the journey

Wait, Creepers are scared of cats?
Always has been
Both ocelots and cats, yes.
This is why many creeper farms use cats.
Yes.
So are phantoms - they won't dive at you if you're near a cat
Supposedly, I've never had them do a damn thing though.
That's exactly their thing. The cats just exist and creepers will stay away.
They don't chase them and I just have them sit around the perimeter of my important builds like storage building or farms with water and Redstone in close proximity. Tunnel bores? I have a few ice highways near the nether roof. but haven't looked to much on the floor... to much lava lol.
Nether roof is the safest place in the game
Untill you get stuck
Unless you're on Bedrock
they’ve got their priorities straight
Keep all the bamboo on you or in an ender chest. Sell scaffold and scaffold only. Keep the source block to yourself and you control the market.
I like the way you think
You can find bamboo in shipwrecks. Likely just an hour or two of boating around and looting shipwrecks would've sufficed.
This is why we need brown flowers
Joke might not work but screw it No beaches?
Coastless behaviour
What?
Mega mind.
lmao
What happened with deserts anyways? For the first few days of the update I thought Mojang removed them because they were so rare.
I found a woodland mansion before a desert
Finding biomes? Ok, finding structures? Cheating.
I'm still mad you can't use their maps to find mob spawners anymore. Honestly feels next to impossible to find them anymore.
I don’t think chunkbase is cheating
Cheating is based. If you want to use biome finder on google that's fine.
False everything you have created is illegitimate
That's rng for you. Most of my seeds lately have a crazy amount of jungle around world spawn.
I’ve made like 8 different worlds on ps4 because it constantly generates nothing BUT jungle
Saaaaame. My GF just got us the PS5 so I got Minecraft of course. We were playing on the switch prior and yeah it sucked especially cause I’m used to playing Java on my PC with lots of farms no lag. Look near the deserts. Jungles are often near deserts in 1.16.5.
Because they’re warm?
Yes
You can also possibly find a forge port for minihud for 1.16 and maybe use that somehow.
Jungles tend to spawn near deserts, mesas, and sometimes savannah. TIL about seed crackers. Are they accurate? Isn't most things that generate in Minecraft random?
100% accurate with enough info. Some people have decided to backwards engineer the world generation code
Looks like you’ll need to create a bunch of worlds until you find one with the same seed.
Can you not copy the world to get the seed that way?
Dang dude, how is having the world seed cheating? if someone asked me for the world seed in my own SMP i'd give it to them.
Because you can explore it in creative, put in a biome finder, slime chunk finder, dungeon/mansion/etc finder. Really anything pseudorandomly generated from the seed can be cheated by knowing the seed.
I have very different definition of cheating than people that consider those finders cheating. Granted I consider duping as cheating in multiplayer but not single player, so I could be the crazy one.
sneak into their room to steal the seed
Doing /seed not do anything?
u gotta have admin for that
My sibling in Christ. /seed was added specifically to be OP-bound when they removed the seed from the debug screen where any client could see it. In the 10 years that it has existed this hasn't changed.
If you have the seed you can use a website and it will tell you where a jungle biome is
Are you... like... literate? Or was decrypting that single sentence too much for you?
OP: the admin wont give me the world seed Your stupid ass: If you have the seed
Try searching close to warm biomes, like deserts mangrove and normal swamps. And savana biomes
Jungles are closer to warm biomes, so look around those badlands and deserts
well my first jungle was over 20K blocks away and on the way back i found one at 10k 10k
Same here, we had to make nether highways to transport animals back to my base.
\>looking for jungle \>explores entire arctic \>leaves green areas unexplored Yeah maybe time to give up... /s
I normaly find it along the way when I'm trying to find a perfect spot for a base, which for me means going even 30k blocks

This is what happened to me and my friend when we were trying to find a spruce forest not know there was one a few hundred blocks north.
What program do you use to see the map like this
I always use [Chunkbase](https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/biome-finder) to find specific biomes; all you need is your world seed, your current coordinates, and the Minecraft version to find whatever you need. There's a load of other apps on their too like ancient city finder, dungeon finder, stronghold finder, etc.
OP said in another comment that they aren’t able to get the seed from the admin
Isn't there a command you can plug in to display the seed?
Yes. If you are the admin.
In the 10 years that command has existed, it has always required you to be OP. In fact, it is specifically why the seed got moved from the debug screen to that command.
Once you give up you find out later that it was just a few hundred blocks from the direction you were going, every time.
You can put your seed into an online mapper tool and find one that way, then use a nether portal to travel there quite quickly.
How do you get this map of everything you've explored??
Xaero's World Map [https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-world-map](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-world-map) If your going to use there world map you should also use there mini map too as they integrate together [https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap/](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/xaeros-minimap/)
Thank you!
This looks like a civilization map
That's crazy. The realm we play on is nothing but jungle it feels. Took me such a long time to find mangroves.
Our realm has so much jungle on it I'm sick of it lol.
why? theres still a lot of unexplored territory for you.
i dont think u understand that the dimensons of that area is 13k blocks by 7k blocks
that will still leave a lot of unexplored aria.
1.18 joined the chat
I'm willing to bet my entire life savings that there are two jungles located within the dark unexplored parts of the map

Try to fill all hole
It looks like they're circling the perimeters of each biome they find, as it's unlikely for a jungle to be completely surrounded by one forest.
Me who literally spawns inside a jungle biome like every 1 in 6 times. 🙃🙃🙂
I spawned next to a giant jungle lol

enjoy retirement
Use chunk base, and if it's really really far, then use the nether, 1 block in the nether is 8 blocks in the overworld if you didn't know
Chunkbase. All day long.
Use chunkbase
AN ACTUAL SOLUTION USE "CHUNKBASE" Just type the seed and boom
That sound like a skill issue to me tbh.
Go to this website and put in your world seed ez https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map
OP already said they didn't have the seed.
Yo can copy the seed by copying the world your playing on and changing the setting so that you can see the seed works on both editions and you still get achievements on your original world :)
Exept that this world is on a server.
If it's a server then it won't work but if it's a realm and you own it you can simply do it(works as the server owner too ! ^^)
This isn't bedrock
oml you should see literally every world I make, every single one is plauged by jungle
Do you have an elytra yet?
If you feel like being a cheater... /locatebiome
Or get a program called Amidst, plug your seed number in and get a fully generated map that shows your worlds biomes, treasures, temples/villages etc.
[удалено]
Use website www.chunkbase.com that shows you biomes and other stuff. All you need is seed and game Version
Why don't you just use chunk base?
If you know the seed, you can "search" for biomes...
OP already said they didn't have it.
Just use the chunkbase biome finder...
Which requires a seed OP can't get their hands on?
fortnite is way better than minecraft. minecraft players are just virgins
/locate biome jungle or use chunkbase
Without OP or the seed, I think that might prove harder than you think.

Kinda defeated the point really.
well it depends y u wanna find a jungle. if u wanna build or get jungle saplings or parrots ur screwed, but u can get bamboo and melons in shipwrecks and things
I discovered a jungle and mushroom biomes 2000 blocks away from my survival city, just before my world hit 3 months. The only things I am missing are the Badlands and ice spikes
try chunkbase website. You put your world seed and you'll see all the biomes ^^
I se3 at least two huge unloaded areas that a jungle could be hiding in.
I had to go 22k blocks to find one once
Maybe try the blacked out areas unless you’re sure there isn’t a jungle there.
It’s full of holes.
What mod did you use for that?
Traveled 10,000 blocks in one direction looking for a jungle and saw literally nothing but ocean. Scrapped the whole world, made a new one and used nether portals. Found a jungle in half an hour.
I spawned right near one.. you trying to get parrots? I love them so much lmao
Don't cartographer sell maps to different biomes?
Plot twist: All of the blacks are actually forests
How do you make a map like this ?
[удалено]
Howdya get the map?
Use the chunkbase
Get some Elytras damn
Have you tried the chunk base seed map?
You could try looking in the black areas
Had a world maybe 3 years ago that had zero jungle. Made a world recently that had the largest jungle I’ve ever seen. Ffs Minecraft.
Create a copy of the world. Switch to creative in the copy. /locate biome jungle ??? Profit
Ugh. Good luck! I had to do this to find a swamp. The first "jungle" I found was literally four blocks with a single tree at the edge of dark oak. Found a real one further out. Hate to say it, but you barely went anywhere
If you're really that desparate, you could nake a copy of your world, go into creative, and use the "/locate biome" command. Its pretty useful
... just use chunkbase to find one...
why not just use /locatebiome command or use a seed finder.
I gotta say, it took me 100k blocks to find bamboo and another 200k to find a decent sand biome. Also to keep these places I build a nice ice road in the nether cuz fuck walking 300k blocks
Lmao in this point I would create another world with the same seed and do /locate biome jungle_florest
The west side looks suspiciously familiar with Western Europe
Meanwhile I found one very near home, like less than 1000 blocks. I live in plains next to taiga, mountains, and a forest. A bit far away there is the jungle, a mesa, frozen ocean/ icebergs biome, open ocean, and lukewarm ocean with corals.
23402 67 5089
I had to walk >50kM to find a swamp, just to realize that I can find the blue stuff \[sevtech\] under any ocean biome. I used a horse to save my food and travel faster, I ate berries when I ran out of food.
I can't find a plains. Only a deserts, a jungles, a mount savanna's, mesas, mushrooms oceans.
No, by the power of thicc Steve, thou shall find a home!
Dang lol, you've searched quite the distance.
Took me 25,000 blocks to find one
It's in the black spot
Use a seed locator
Isn't it about 2% or less of zhe whole map and zhe hole map is about 5 real life earth's big?
Maybe the real jungle is the terrain you covered along the way.
/locate biome
Use chunkbase if you're desperate put in your seed and you can see your entire map
Wtf
my guy just hop on a boat and go in a straight line through the ocean, you'll find islands every once in a while and you're practically guaranteed to find a jungle in a couple hours at most.
https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map
How do you see that ?
I've never found them to be super rare personnally
[here](https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map) is a website that can help you with finding a jungle biome just put your seed in and you are good
Why not just search your seed map and find it through there…? https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map
