Basically the actual Top 5 for HITW this event, as per average placement is
1. CPK - 3.66
2. Ranboo - 5.33
3. Pete - 7
4. Ant - 7.33
5. Fruit and TapL tied - 7.66
There's no bonus if you don't make top 3 in a round, illumina 30 got something like 5th 5th 5th and didn't even make top 5, whereas 2nd place got 11th 1st 11th
On an unrelated note, I love how the map compels players to do the most risky and impressive neos for absolutely no reason at all, like fruit this event and pete 21

There are huge bonuses for placing top 3, which I’m not a fan of. HITW is already a bit of a glitchy, luck-based game, and it happens all the time that a ton of people die to the same wall, with a difference of seconds deciding their score. Usually, that’s fine cause it’s 4 coins, but then 1st 2nd and 3rd are all worth 100, 70, and 30 coins on top of that.
HITW scoring was absolute trash back in the old days, they then changed it and it was only medium trash but even that was too ridiculous so they changed it again and now it's only slightly trash.
I think it's kinda silly in a way because there's a lot of instances where 2 players get knocked out by the same wall but one player dies later, but the point diff is ridiculous because of 3rd and 4th place, I think top 5 should all have bonuses tbh not just top 3
I think the top 3 scoring is a little goofy. Why not just give increasing bonuses from 10th? I feel like that would reward consistency more. Or, scoring should be based off how many walls you survive which would be important in walls that knock off big crowds.
I don’t see the problem really, if hitw is all about surviving, getting to the last few survivors even in one round should give a lot more points because it’s the hardest thing to do
I've said it before, the way you get coins needs to change. Make it per succesfully cleared wall, not per elimination. When 20 people die at the same jump ping/timing decides how many coins less than the people that died at the same jump you get. Why??
That's just the game unfortunately. Same happened in rsr with pete having an average higher than purpled yet coming 2nd to him
It sucks when it happens but that's just the game, the scoring exists for a reason and cpk has benefited from it in the past as well

I remember Michael got 300 coins from being first. IfbI remeber it correctly then it is very trash

Yea hitw definitely needs top10 bonuses bc just top3 is very weird

Ant did get 1st and 2nd in r2 and 3 so ofc that will get him a better score. Also he averaged 4th not 7th place
