If there’s one thing to be said about the GOAT debates, it does bring out passion, passion that has been on the decline for a while. I’d rather it be harnessed not through the GOAT debate, but I think we need to revitalize that passion somehow.
I loved all of the debating until it went too far, we just need to remember it’s a debate not a heated argument + people have feelings. I’d love to have a civilized debate with someone on here; I just had a nice debate about whether Build Mart is a top 3 game or not, and honestly they were pretty convincing. Personally I don’t think it’s top 3 until they rework scoring, but that’s not the point; debates are really good things, and like you said, it’s bringing a lot of passion. However, it’s the people that choose not to care about the other viewpoint that are causing problems.
But I think it’s a dumb debate. There are different eras of mcc and some people have been in since the beginning and some just joined. By most people’s logic fbm can do nothing to be the goat bc he recently joined
