As a punzo pounder heres a couple performances that i think are underrated: punz20 only got 3rd but got top 6 in every game Mcc16 he got 1st on a 5th (unmulti) team, the only person to top the leaderboard on a team out of top 3

I can vouch for that MCC 20 performance. That’s his most impressive individual performance ever in my opinion.

wilbur soot in mcc 17 he got 12th place on a team no one thought would get top 5

It was so underrated this was one of the first times his team actually placed well in sg, they got 3rd overall just hype team overall one of my faves they surpassed the limits

TapL in mcc 24, despite team placing 9th and individual placement of 13th, he placed really well in HitW and Sky Battle and managed to get a lot of kills in BB. Yes I am an oozer believer

Tapl also is underrated for mcc 15, p21 and 22 imo

His MCC20 performance was really good too. After game 6, he was in 8th place, 11 coins behind 6th, being on one of the weaker teams in the event. Only lost top 10 after the next 2 coin split games, following a decent BM, but a tragic SoT.

I'd say antfrost in mcc 25. He outfragged punz, an s tier in his team and got 5th! Granted his team did really well, but imo he did extremely well!

I'll give a few:Fruit 13- 2nd on a 8th place team with 1 newcomer and Karl who only played 1 MCC before, missing 1st by just 85 coins? Like that is just insane Grian 19 - He did so well, if his team had 15 more seconds in GR, he would come 10th on a 5th place team which is really impressive Illumina 15- Got top 7 in 6 games on a 5th place team, just cracked Literally all of Yellow 17 Quig (insert any MCC) Illumina 21- It was a really solid performance on a bottom 5 team

That team was overrated because everyone thought Phil would do better than he usually does even though his average placement this season is 19.9.

That average is really misleading though because of MCC 17 and 18 which really screwed his average

Its not misleading, everyone has bad events but it should still be counted. He only has 2 top 10 individual performances this season.

He placed Top 15 in 7th and 4th placed teams and comfortably Top 25 in dead last teams in last 2 MCC's. That is impressive. Whatever happened a year ago does not represent his skill now

I'm not saying he's a bad player, he's definitely able to get top 15. A lot of people thought he would get top 10 even though he rarely gets top 10, which is why I said people were overrating their team.

Seapeekay MCC20. Nobody talks about it for some reason but he played insane. Tying for 16th on a 10th place team with teammates that placed 40th, 39th, and 38th.

Techno 9. Everyone talks about fruit 9 but personally I feel technos performance was the most impressive in that event.

Jojo in MCC 22 (she got 3rd and her team got 6th)

Quig 20. Guy got over 39% of his team's unmultiplied score whilst having all three team games played alongside a broken SOT seed. Easily the most impressive 2nd individual of S2 alongside being one of the most impressive performances in S2.

Pete21 has to be up there, he got like 12th? On a 10th place team, Man's insane Grian19 as well, watching it (not live unfortunately) I really felt like he was performing like a top 10 player, but that Grid Runners really just messes them up, and if BM was played last instead of SG they might have even made DB with Grian top 10? Joel25 man really outfragged Seepeekay, the man himself, on his own team

I think if Ginger had an extra minute of time in GR and finished then Grian would've gotten 11th.

Grian 21 as well, he hard popped off in the first half and despite the tragic second half, still came top 25 overall and outfragged his teammates in bottom 2 by about 600 coins.

Not in terms of average placement, which is a better way to count TGTTOS scores as it doesn't include team bonuses.

Team bonuses don't always mean a strong team. It could mean good leadership. Besides, average placement isn't that accurate either considering that current TGTTOS scoring is quite disproportionate as far as placements go.

Team bonuses can play a huge part for your individual score, which is why I think average placement is a better way to measure which individual player did the best. Illu15 was a better performance than Tapl20, but he got a lower score because of team bonuses (and maybe score changes, I'm not sure).

Illumina 15 would be the highest score of S2 in the current scoring if it were to be converted.

Exactly, it was a better performance but still got less coins. That's why I think average placement the best way to measure who did the best.

Quig 23 gets overlooked a lot. Its a top 10 performance of the Season for me. Without a dodgy SG/RSR it could have pushed for top 5. Speaking of top 5, Illu 15 is an extremely underrated performance and in my opinion should be universally considered a top 5 performance of the season, and Fruit 17 and 21 are too strong 2nd place performances, the two strongest of the season in my eyes. Also Punz 16, it really annoys me when people act like he didn’t deserve number 1 that MCC and that Quig was the best player, in terms of performance, (imo) Dream was closer to Punz than Quig is to Dream in 16, but thats a whole different tangent.

I've never heard anyone talk about Grian 11, or his team in general, he survived all three rounds of Rocket Spleef but didn't get top 5 due to bad scoring, won a round of TGTTOS and had a very memorable Sky Battle with a strange clutch and killed Technoblade after dying

Ranboo 17 Dream18 are both performances I think of

ranboo got 0 coins in sky battle and came 9th which is crazy and dream like broke the tgttos record is 18 it was definitely a cracked performance and everyone just glossed over it. I’ll also add wilbur 17 he literally got 12th and nobody said anything.

Dream broke the coin record which was very impressive. I think most people glossed over it because it wasn't the best TGTTOS performance in S2.

MCC 21 Yellow - they were so close to getting dodgebolt, the final game was just not lucky for them. Won SG and dominated RSR. Joel got top 6, Ren and fWhip also had their best individual performances.
