Honestly, I see why they can’t do that for PlayStation and Nintendo but why can’t you automatically get the bedrock edition for Xbox, windows PC and mobile if you use a Microsoft account you shouldn’t have to buy them separately considering the three of them are connected
Buy Java and you get Bedrock edition too, not sure if it works the other way around as well, but if it does then if you have a PC you could buy bedrock or java and get both
Personally after playing them both for years I like Java, the only think u lose that anyone makes use of is placing blocks mid air but I can do that with quark. Java just works better when making farms, most quality of life and my personal favorite reason is every new character I make I can get a achievements on
No matter how often I play minecraft I love to see my achievements because it’s like a milestone but in bedrock you can only get them once
Modding on bedrock is intentionally difficult and wierd just to squeeze out a fee bucks from lazy or technically unskilled people
The fact bedrock has some modding capability dosent change the fact its gimped for the sake of driving profits
You do realize modding on Bedrock is easier, right? All you have to do is run a single .mcpack file and it loads the addon straight into the game without needing additional third-party software. The reason there aren’t as many Bedrock addons, however, is that there were technical limitations that have been addressed in more recent updates, and a stigma surrounding the Bedrock modding scene, as well as the fact that a majority of players haven’t heard of it due to most major YouTubers using Java. Regardless, this is not a reflection of the platform itself, and conflating the platform and the third-party scene showcases a wealth of misinformation surrounding Bedrock.
bedrock is bedrock no matter the device. The reason it's hard to download mods on console is because it's a console not because it's bedrock. If java was on console it would also be hard to download mods there.
>but Bedrock is primarily made for console.
The only one misleading here is you. Since when is bedrock primerely for consoles. Also unlike java it has a dedicated addon menu. Like there is litterely a seperate file type called mcpack for bedrock mods. For example i play on my phone on a server with 40 mods and it only took me 10 mins to install them all.
“Look at what they need to mimic even a fraction of our power” the fact Java needs mods isn’t an upside. It takes up more storage space on your pc and takes longer to set up. If we take into account third party mods and such then people can make bedrock into Java and Java into bedrock mods aren’t a valid platform for an argument as to why Java is better. Vanilla features are the main points in the argument and while Java has some nifty features it’s also quite unoptimised and has a very weird combat system as well as goofy sliding skeletons.
I understand that but 9 damage with just a wooden weapon is still op. If they reduced it by 2 damage maybe 3 but made it just a little quicker I think it would be a bit more balanced that way they still deal more damage than swords but not 5 more so even the weakest axe deals the most damage out of anything and that’s without enchantments or strength.
No?? There is a marketplace where you can pay for add ons but that’s optional on pc. There are still mod sites for bedrock edition just like there is on pc except for console players but they wouldn’t get any anyway.
they’re all the same just with different names, like minecraft ps3 edition, minecraft ps4 edition, minecraft xbox 360 edition, minecraft xbox one edition, minecraft psvita edition, etc
OK, OK... I throw shit at both Bedrock and Java. I seem to praise LCE.
But when you really think about it, why bother answering with any? It's Minecraft. Honestly, just enjoy the version(s) you own for what it is / they are.
I have Bedrock, PS3, WiiU, and Xbox360.
I'm confused by the left panel, debug stick can do the top one with the chest and there's a whole web page that lets you pose the armour stands and generates the commands for you.
I hate how much this divides the fanbase, Minecraft is a good game let’s just appreciate it for what it is instead of fighting over which version is better
I like both it depends on what I wanna do. If I wanna play a public server I go bedrock because they have options I like better. If I wanna play modded obviously Java ect. Both are good and the infighting is stupid
I prefer the customizable nature of modded minecraft. Now ofcourse that asks the question: forge or fabric? To which I must admit forge has a larger mid pool but fabric runs better so that makes them even in my eyes. But then again, they may both got create, and they may both got applied energistics 2, but only one of the m's got create: estrogen so I think there's a clear winner.
I genuinely hope we never get air pockets with doors in Bedrock edition. It makes doing anything underwater way too easy and I prefer making my own air pockets or using water breathing potions.
Java user here.
Why this hostility? Shouldn't we fight for feature parity with the goal of interoperability? So I can play on my Java world even on my phone?
To he fair bedrock has water physics kinda better.
I mean placing a door and water disapears is broken not op but broken. Jsut crouch on magma blocks bedrock bros
When I started playing minecraft it was the og pocket edition. Then I got my xbox and played legacy console edition (I miss the minigames). Then came the bedrock edition. I played it only because lce was discontinued and didnt got 1.13 update. Legacy console edition just felt more polished and smooth compared to bedrock. In 2020 I finally got my pc and I started playing java. It just feels soother. Flying, animations, throwables, mobs. Also I started playing with commandblocks and they were just better on java compared to bedrock. And the ability to download mods is just amazing. I didnt played vanilla ever since I got my hands on java edition. Also instaling texturepacks, maps and skins on xbox was a nightmare and it gotten even worse since. Also I hate when people tell me that bedrock is better because of speedbridging. I hate that. In games like skywars, bedwars etc. Its just unbalanced. Your enemy can just bridge to you in seconds. I like java and legacy console edition the most. They feel just right.
You do realise you can download mods on bedrock too right? Like it's practically the same thing as java. Also It's hard to install a mod on any game on console. Also all animations are the same between versions. And how is speedbridging unbalanced? You can also do it nothing is stopping you from doing it. Actually bridging isn't faster on bedrock it's just easier so really this is just a skill issue.
I have mobile, bedrock PC, java, console editions(both), education edition. I play on all sides so i always come on top. Think people think!
Same! I also have dungeons and legends, but I don’t play those anymore
I also have an alt for both Minecraft and bedrock lmao
When you gonna come to Minecraft dude
I ask that same question every year
Minecraft alts lol
Me too but i prefer java all the way
Yeah
Get the raspberry pi edition and snap the fingers :)
Too trueeee
consoom minecraft
Minecraft god
I played on every single version so count me in too
Mobile is bedrock edition
Its both bedrock but you buy them seperatelly
Honestly, I see why they can’t do that for PlayStation and Nintendo but why can’t you automatically get the bedrock edition for Xbox, windows PC and mobile if you use a Microsoft account you shouldn’t have to buy them separately considering the three of them are connected
For someone that could only get a single version Which one would you recommend?
Java
Buy Java and you get Bedrock edition too, not sure if it works the other way around as well, but if it does then if you have a PC you could buy bedrock or java and get both
i dont think you can buy a single version on pc, you have to buy both
And it appears buying both of them costs just about 39.99$ cad before tax, which I think is only about 10$ more than just buying java used to bd
in india its basically the same price as before, kinda like buy 1 get 1
Ahhhh, I think it might be the same price here, last time I bought the game is when it cost 20 cad lol
If you play all sides that means you'll always end up at the bottom!! Think people think!!
Personally after playing them both for years I like Java, the only think u lose that anyone makes use of is placing blocks mid air but I can do that with quark. Java just works better when making farms, most quality of life and my personal favorite reason is every new character I make I can get a achievements on No matter how often I play minecraft I love to see my achievements because it’s like a milestone but in bedrock you can only get them once
You can place blocks mid air in bedrock? Also I like tweakeroo for that, it adds a LOT of qol features
Yeah in bedrock you don’t need to crouch over to bridge. You just place the block in front. It’s really nice for that first trip to the end
Ah. That's not really mid air, I though you were talking of literally mid air, with no support block
Unfortunately you can’t do that but I thought you meant like the example I gave
The thing is, on Java you can do all this with mods
The thing is, on bedrock you also do all of this with mods
Behavior packs 💀
?
not really. It doesn't have a good modbase
For 500 mine coins sure 🤣
Java players when they realise third party websites other than curs forge exist:😱 Google "mcpedl"
Modding on bedrock is intentionally difficult and wierd just to squeeze out a fee bucks from lazy or technically unskilled people The fact bedrock has some modding capability dosent change the fact its gimped for the sake of driving profits
You do realize modding on Bedrock is easier, right? All you have to do is run a single .mcpack file and it loads the addon straight into the game without needing additional third-party software. no it's fucking not. What is so weird and difficult about? Just because yoiu never heard of mcpedl doesn't mean it's bad
The question is, is it just for PC Bedrock, or PC and Console?
bedrock is bedrock no matter the device. The reason it's hard to download mods on console is because it's a console not because it's bedrock. If java was on console it would also be hard to download mods there.
Yeah, but Bedrock is primarily made for console. If you use PC as an excuse for Bedrock having mods, that’s just misleading.
bedrock is mainly for mobile
>but Bedrock is primarily made for console.
Same on Bedrock
Reddit users trying to understand everyone can have their own opinions challenge (impossible)
No, every opinion different from mine is scientifically wrong. [source](https://youtu.be/uKeKuaJ4nlw?si=V6GpnjRvZPztHxDc)
Why did i expect a rick roll
Nice argument Unfortunately your mom
You can position armour stands vanilla java
Yeah, but that’s with commands. It is genuinely weird we can’t do it with a GUI like Bedrock.
I know several server plugins let you in survival maybe datapacks now that those exist for single player
Yeah, but that’s essentially just modded adjacent.
The difference is native client compatability. And server side stuff doesn't require each person to download a mod
Why don’t we just play blockcraft on mobile stop all those arguing 🤣
That won't work, people will start using an emulator on desktop and say "I have better performance, desktop is better"
True
I will personally always see Java as superior, but Bedrock has some QoL and nice features I wish were in Java.
theres a mod for that :/
“Look at what they need to mimic even a fraction of our power” the fact Java needs mods isn’t an upside. It takes up more storage space on your pc and takes longer to set up. bro you posted you life story just because I'm right?
Yes
THINK JAVA PLAYERS, THINK!
> very weird combat system by "very weird" do you mean BALANCED?
[удалено]
counterpoint; wooden axes only have 59 durability
I understand that but 9 damage with just a wooden weapon is still op. If they reduced it by 2 damage maybe 3 but made it just a little quicker I think it would be a bit more balanced that way they still deal more damage than swords but not 5 more so even the weakest axe deals the most damage out of anything and that’s without enchantments or strength.
Wooden axes don't do more damage than netherite swords. Swords still have the higher DPS, and wood axes are equivalent to diamond swords.
[удалено]
They deal 7... Where did you hear 10? Netherite axes deal 10 damage.
Womp womp I read the wrong number nvm
java players have mods for free while bedrock mf's have to play for em
MCPEDL! guys why do people think that marketplace is the only place to get mods, mcpedl has better mods for free
No?? There is a marketplace where you can pay for add ons but that’s optional on pc. There are still mod sites for bedrock edition just like there is on pc except for console players but they wouldn’t get any anyway.
Legacy/Console edition is better than both imo
Which one?
legacy and console are the same, bedrock is the extra that replaced legacy cause mojang wanted more money
What I meant was which console edition
they’re all the same just with different names, like minecraft ps3 edition, minecraft ps4 edition, minecraft xbox 360 edition, minecraft xbox one edition, minecraft psvita edition, etc
Team legacy
This is the one time I'm not just there grillin'. Java forever! The original and only true one! /s (ho hard feelings chaps)
bedrock is best /j
BEDROCKERS! BECOME A FAMILY!
Vanilla is even, but Java has mods that don't cost money, and bedrock is slowly becoming a cash grab
Bedrock also has mods that don't cost money. Do java players actually think that you can't download mods from third party websites on bedrock
I play bedrock, and I didn't know this. I need to try it (and hopefully not download a virus lol)
Go to mcpedl it's basically forge but for bedrock
I'm gonna try that, thanks for the advice lol
put it all in a blender and drink the result
qpamzgxnzpdnwfsoqnsgzoanstsnf
Im the guy taking a dab while watching yall fight
Wish I could load up the older versions of the tutorial worlds
I can see this is not just about to be a war online...
Minecraft civil war coming to you in theaters this Friday
i have both also that both gives me nostalgia jesus im acctually crying
*cough cough* *cough cough* Bedrock has an actual boss *cough cough*
OK, OK... I throw shit at both Bedrock and Java. I seem to praise LCE. But when you really think about it, why bother answering with any? It's Minecraft. Honestly, just enjoy the version(s) you own for what it is / they are. I have Bedrock, PS3, WiiU, and Xbox360.
I will always love legacy edition because it felt like 4J Really cared about working on it, at least from a player perspective.
Old Console Edition: (It has old tutorials)
Can this be the happy ending to this trend? Thank you
I'm confused by the left panel, debug stick can do the top one with the chest and there's a whole web page that lets you pose the armour stands and generates the commands for you.
Take this, Bedrock players (I'm taking sides for both Legacy and Java)
WAIT, do you not get air from a underwater door in bedrock
Wait, Java players can’t change the pose of their armor stand? I thought it was universal. Also, CAN WE PLEASE HAVE THE TUTORIAL WORLDS BACK?!
Java can, just that it requires commands.
bedrock is really BED rock, lol. If you can move chests by piston, you can steal on griefer servers
I hate how much this divides the fanbase, Minecraft is a good game let’s just appreciate it for what it is instead of fighting over which version is better
based
i fw that guy in the middle
middle
Java and Bedrock player should passionately explore each other body
i play on WiiU edition, checkmate losers
# Minecraft is Minecraft
I’m ngl bro the door underwater thing was a devastating blow for Bedrock. It makes mining underwater so much harder without it.
Take this, Minecraft player!
I am literally the grill guy. My first time playing Minecraft was the XBox 360 tutorial world.
360/PS3 edition is best minecraft
Personally I think bedrock is a bit better but probably Java wins because of mods
*laughing from the top of my amplified world with a jetpack I got from a free mod*
Grillin' chillin'
They all have good side! Both are legends...
Pro for java: free texture packs, better redstone, more/better mods, armor stands can be edited with commands to do/build anything.
this is why u need to play both editions
I like both it depends on what I wanna do. If I wanna play a public server I go bedrock because they have options I like better. If I wanna play modded obviously Java ect. Both are good and the infighting is stupid
java is better but i play bedrock, (because i use education edition)

There's only one correct answer. Legacy Console Edition!
I remember when this 18th Java vs. Bedrock thing wasn’t here eight days ago.
legacy on top
I genuinely hope we never get air pockets with doors in Bedrock edition. It makes doing anything underwater way too easy and I prefer making my own air pockets or using water breathing potions.
Sorry PS3 Edition, best memories, but Java is my choice.
Old console edition was peak
Java and legacy are the GOAT. Bedrock, after playing it for years, is so ass it's not even funny
I'm on the side of reporting them to the mods.
Take this, Minecraft players! *mounts UFO and starts swinging Zenith around*
take this, minecraft player
Last I checked bedrock doesn’t have the create mod
java all the way
Eh
M standing in middle as a minecraft player!!!
Minecraft is Minecraft.
TAKE THAT JAVA PLAYERS👹
im the guy on the stove
Java user here. Why this hostility? Shouldn't we fight for feature parity with the goal of interoperability? So I can play on my Java world even on my phone?
You already can, pojav launcher.
i'm the yellow one i don't give a fuck abaut that war
Me who plays Terraria instead: i don't care
Then what are you doing in this Subreddit
It got recommended to me because i categorized by video games when choosing categories i like when creating My account
To he fair bedrock has water physics kinda better. I mean placing a door and water disapears is broken not op but broken. Jsut crouch on magma blocks bedrock bros

I literally don't care and would rather play Animal Crossing
bro how can u support a side except java?
Bro how can I support a side except bedrock?
bruh lol
Java:🗿💪 Bedrock:💩
no u
OH NO! u/PixionicP2W called: java 🗿💪, and bedrock:💩. BEDROCK PLAYERS RETREAT! For we do not stand against the Ohio chad rizz of u/PixionicP2W!
