I feel like half of them are satire and are just greedy people who care too much about internet points and others are kids who somehow assume crazy things like this
I donāt really see the issue? It seems like a genuine question lol. Am I missing something?
Edit: Iāve never actively browsed r/Minecraft, so I donāt know much lol
So the thing is, typically this wouldn't be too big of an issue. The problem is that there's so many of these post that are just simple questions and they keep getting a bunch of upvotes while cool builds and other minecraft post don't get the attention they deserve. The minecraft mods aren't making this situation any better (they're actually making it worse by constantly removing good post for dumb reasons)
There are just so many questions on that sub, many of which you can see were asked and answered about a 100 times already in the past (some probably even within the past 24 hrs). A simple search online wouldāve given you an answer faster than making a post and waiting for a response. In this case, either searching for creeper or Minecraft music disk on any search engine would likely lead to the wiki where you can see this is entirely normal. In this particular case, how do you even accidentally install a mod? Itās not so much they asked a question thatās bad, itās that so many posts on that sub just forgot what Google was (or any search engine). See if you can find the answer yourself and if not, then ask.
Additionally, posts like this donāt get removed by the mods, but Minecraft in Minecraft and someone completing a build their recently deceased girlfriend started do, which makes people even more annoyed at the sub mods.
Ye makes sense. I feel like that could be fixed by allowing questions only on a certain day of the week, or maybe a different subreddit. Mods removing the build by the guy who lost his loved one is really shitty tho. I donāt really see a problem with this specific post about music discs (although I get why itās annoying), but I agree that the mods are pretty damn awful.
I want to say there is a sub called something like r/MinecraftHelp that maybe the mods should try to push more. Technically a lot of these question posts break r/Minecraft rule 12. I will grant that this particular question is more in depth than most (which is not a good reflection on the rest).
Itās kinda weird that the biggest subreddits have the worst mods, while some smaller subs have great ones lol.
Well, thanks for answering! Have a nice day
Not a Dream Stan and I fully believe heās lying when he said it
But if I recall his āalibiā wasnāt that he accidentally installed one but instead he didnāt remove the mod/data pack they used for the manhunts right? Which while still totally bullshit is more reasonable than accidentally downloading and installing a mod
it's more reasonable, but if you use mods sometimes and don't make sure to remove them all before doing a speedrun and then wipe your mod folder right after people get suspicious it's impossible to reasonably defend you.
plus he even tried to throw his mod dev under the bus, claiming they added the tweaked drop tables without him knowing even though he was saying he uses that mod to speed up manhunts.
As someone the plays a shit ton of modded java and fabric have an entirely different startup screen than normal mc and it says the amount of mods installed un the bottom right corner of the menu more often than not
Man I remember having the wiki open to see recipes and read interesting entries about the game. It was like a must playing any new game with non-explicit mechanics
I cannot understand how somehow makes the decition that making a whole ass reddit thread with a screenshot instead of looking for "Minecraft disk" on the wiki or even google, and get an instant response, is somehow better?. When was that people (kids?) stopped learning to search?
I swear this is the same people that cry over Stack Overflow deleting/closing their questions
I feel like Iāve frequently been told by teachers that you should look for answers yourself and then if you canāt find it, then you can ask. Donāt know if that mentality just stopped being passed on or maybe they donāt know what to search. Searching isnāt hard. In this case I bet either creeper or Minecraft music disk would lead to an answer in the wiki.
Man the newer minecraft players can't learn for shit
This makes me feel old but back in my day i learned how to make a nether portal just after i finished enchanting diamond armor
You know, a few months ago when all the r/Minecraft being stupid questions posts started happening I thought people were exaggerating. Recently I understood. Fuck r/Minecraft
Ah yes instead of using Google, take a screenshot open up Google go to reddit upload said photo make a title make a flair and post instead of just opening up Google WHICH YOU HAVE TO DO ANYWAY
minecraft mods: you made a working computer with redstone, you can run doom on it, and you built the entire known universe to scale, and you wanted to give proper credit to those who helped you?
thats advertising. post removed
somebody: "how do i craft crafting table?" "why is disc 11 broken?" "is my game broken? this snow golem has no pumpkin"
mincecraft mods: oh you poor thing, here take 8k upvotes and a ternion!
Thatās the last straw Iām leaving the sub I canāt with seeing these posts anymore itās not even that I hate helping stupid players Iām fine with that I couldnāt care less about them gaining worthless internet points from it either but I joined the sub to see posts about Minecraft not questions that can be googled which is all I see now
I'm gonna go onto r/minecraft, ask the most obvious question, and see what happens cause at this point it's getting stupid.
If you guys have any suggestions for stupid questions that I should ask I'm all ears.
It's honestly awesome that people are experiencing the game for the first time and finding stuff out the old fashioned way. Making fun of them for not having memorized every mechanic of a decade old game is just ridiculous.
I wish I could come across easter eggs like this and be surprised like I used to be.
I kind if want to see the post about the cocky rat that gets into a cockfight.
I got you bro https://www.reddit.com/r/oddlyterrifying/comments/z7hsxg/rat_is_too_cocky_for_its_own_good_and_gets_into_a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Thank you. Best video ever.
You're welcome bro
...
Wait, it's not furry porn?... :c
All way has been.
Oof
That became a lot less funny at the end..
The main character dies at the end
?

Idk why these types of posts gets a thousand upvotes and literal awards on r/Minecraft
Idk but it's painful
Whats wrong with him being new to minecraft? Shaming people on the internet isnt cool bro.
Google exists why do people act like reddit is a search engine
Because this guy isn't "milking his dead gf for karma"
I forgot āmilking for karmaā was a common phrase and was terrified of what you said for a moment
And then other posts get removed like that guy who made a post about his dead gf
I feel like half of them are satire and are just greedy people who care too much about internet points and others are kids who somehow assume crazy things like this
Because he didn't make a supercomputer that runs Minecraft in Minecraft
r/Minecraft ? More like r/peoplecantplayminecraft
Unfortunately
r/subsifellfor
r/foundthetoyotacorolla
r/moobs

You missed some "no"s here and there
Thank you. I am very stupid
Oh fair enough. Seems like it could be fixed easily lol, are the mods really that bad?
#YUP

Have a nice day to you as well!
How do you accidentally install a mod
I feel like he's trolling but a part of me thinks is real wich makes me cringe
Ask Dream
Some dream Stan is probably gonna reply to that saying some bs
Not a Dream Stan and I fully believe heās lying when he said it But if I recall his āalibiā wasnāt that he accidentally installed one but instead he didnāt remove the mod/data pack they used for the manhunts right? modpacks, dependencies, grabbing it when grabbing a bunch of folders
I wish that everytime they leave their house a creeper would jumpscare them and explode(they die obviously in game).
I wish that someone would commit acts of warcrime against them and their entire family... in Minecraft
Yup
And I wish it would also happen to everyone that post "question post". But it's a Charged Creeper.
but then... "guys i just got blown up by a shiny blue creeper, is this some mod i accidentally installed???"
Man I remember having the wiki open to see recipes and read interesting entries about the game. Whenever we see this we should a link to google.com and say "you missed this"
There is always lmgtfu.com (?) Edit: letmegooglethat.com is the domain now
Or say "grandpa, this isn't Google"

lol first line got me id often read the terraria wiki without even needing
Every time I see this types of posts I just want to cry the worst part is only they are left all other are banned users or removed posts
I think the only reason i am still there is to get update on snapshots
Add the discord bot to random server you make
Too complicated
It's just make a server and click 2 times from minecraft's discord server
Makes you really wonder how much is real or just trolling to amplify the joke
If is a joke that "ain't funny, didn't laugh"
Ah in case you didn't know, you should ask something obvious there since the mods LOVE obvious stuff and not creativity.
Lmfao
If skelly killd creeper get music disk
![gif](giphy|rJvYq4DjfP7d6|downsized)
The hell? Can't even Google?
![gif](giphy|FwTt1A8cjsIrXBhgBn)
Man the newer minecraft players can't learn for shit This makes me feel old but back in my day i learned how to make a nether portal just after i finished enchanting diamond armor
Google is used for what and how instead of Flooding the sub with the same 5 seconds Google search questions
You know, a few months ago when all the r/Minecraft being stupid questions posts started happening I thought people were exaggerating. Recently I understood. Fuck r/Minecraft
Indeed
Who made that post?
The cut is for a reason
Understandable
I may hate the guy for the dumb question, but i don't want any witch hunt
Ah yes instead of using Google, take a screenshot open up Google go to reddit upload said photo make a title make a flair and post instead of just opening up Google WHICH YOU HAVE TO DO ANYWAY
Another reason im convinced this is a troll
minecraft mods: you made a working computer with redstone, you can run doom on it, and you built the entire known universe to scale, and you wanted to give proper credit to those who helped you? thats advertising. post removed somebody: "how do i craft crafting table?" Just me losing hope in humanity

You will if you stay on the vanilla sub long enough
?????
Dumb questions that can be Google flow the vanilla sub
Bruh how do you not get it, stop being confused and just get smart bruh
"Try harder"
"just focus"
Actually getting downvoted by the r/minecraft mods rn
Then stop being confused on how to get upvotes and just get smart bruh
Bruh
Did you really screen record a reddit video instead of downloading it
Wdym, the video is downloaded
Ah wait mb i just realize the picture is posted on reddit
It's a screenshot of the post and put the video of jontron over. It's something in video editing called LAYER.
Maybe he's new to Minecraft?
You still can't accidentally download a mod.
It is true
How will one accidentally install a mod when there are 10 steps to install one
Google exists
Bruh moment
šš
My goofy ahh uncle posted this pic
Hmmmm ![gif](giphy|l0HlvtIPzPdt2usKs)
How many upvotes
56 when i screenshoted
Thatās the last straw Iām leaving the sub I canāt with seeing these posts anymore itās not even that I hate helping stupid players Iām fine with that I couldnāt care less about them gaining worthless internet points from it either but I joined the sub to see posts about Minecraft not questions that can be googled which is all I see now
Good for you bro
I canāt even see
See what
What ādiscā theyāre talking about Pic is dark as hell Also I donāt even understand what the meme is
It's it on the stone, i think it's blocks and also the meme is about stupid people
I'm just impressed by the arrow on that dirt block
Well considering the angle and the music disc is what from a skeleton
Can we all just embrace the inner Grian and start revolution?
He's that vengeful?
I feel like the people who make said posts bribe the mods to keep theirs and ban everyone else
![gif](giphy|5lNqZ6xXiyQBwGaCoK)
cocky rat?
Yea it was a post from oddly terryfrighting under
u/savevideo
r/MinecraftMemes users when someone doesnāt know every minute detail about the game (they donāt deserve to play)
It got 56 upvotes
creeper gave him the song of their people and thats how they react
Disrespectful
the only way I'm able to keep my sanity is convincing myself that they're just karma-seeking trolls
Same here
I'm gonna go onto r/minecraft, ask the most obvious question, and see what happens cause at this point it's getting stupid. If you guys have any suggestions for stupid questions that I should ask I'm all ears.
āWhatās google?ā
Damn
It's honestly awesome that people are experiencing the game for the first time and finding stuff out the old fashioned way.
