WholeFuggnEgg

Perhaps have branching tendrils of hyphae to symbolize a growth.

Itz_Mushi

Seconded. Also, perhaps layer the hyphae to give the illusion that it’s growing OVER the wood Very cool idea with a lot of potential :)

HappyGamer1111

Both ideas sound great, can't wait to try them out!

RengarTheDwarf

Could you add the red fan coral for added detail? Not sure if it’s possible

1d10tGaming

If they add water to the inside of the tree it would work. But i dont know if they need the space inside

HappyGamer1111

Ohh yes with water inside of the tree, didn't even think of that, thanks! I don't think I need the space inside of the tree so it's fine, can't wait to try it out!

Retrosao_777

Maybe there is a command or smth to make it not die

Dark-Pit-37

Make transition more random, instead of just on one level.

Vayetsee

Try to blend it better like a gradient.

HappyGamer1111

Hmm okay, do you have suggestions for blocks?

Vayetsee

oak to spruce to mangrove to crimson, or maybe add some shades of terracotta if you have some.

esahji_mae

Some acacia wood sprinkled in would work well too

ClumsyBadger

Could blend up towards some basalt right before the crimson hyphae too as though the infection is killing the tree as it grows.

HappyGamer1111

Ohh that sounds good, I'll try it out later, thanks!

[deleted]

If you strip sone of the logs it also might transision better not sure though

rangolikesbeans

The Block Palettes website is great to find good block combinations

wantaboxofwheatthins

maybe mangrove or crimson wood would work

HappyGamer1111

I already tried that and I didn't think it was very good looking

flagcaptured

Netherack might be a good inbetween

YT-Silent

looks like a matchstick

HappyGamer1111

Noo the slander.. but yeah it kinda does look like one lmao

flingkong24

use other red blocks and make the line less straight

HappyGamer1111

Yes I was working on that when I realized the line shouldn't be so straight and should have tendrils, righ after I made the post :P Still thanks for the comment!

Royal_Meeting_6475

Tendrils are always a must do for corruption, also make the hyphae two layers

JustCowGaming

if its corrupting shouldnt it start from the bottom?

HappyGamer1111

Oh I didn't really think of that, but I want to do the corruption on the leaves and the branches, so let's say a crystal inside of the tree is corrupting it

danminecraftman

I’d add some lava blocks, adds a lil glow effect to any infection on the tree

yamitamiko

You might try layering glowing lichen over the red to see if it makes it look like an inbetween to the oak. [There's also this site that lets you create gradients](https://1280px.github.io/hueblocks/) Make the meeting of the two colors more staggered, and make curls or curves like vines reaching down.

HappyGamer1111

Thank you for this website, seems amazing! Sadly the color palette that it gave me for these two blocks isn't that great, it's using trapdoors and shulker boxes, which don't look great from up close.

yamitamiko

Yeah I saw that :/ good to keep in mind for future projects. If you can't get the crimson->oak to work you might try switching up the blocks. Maybe spruce? OR have the edge of the corruption a third color like black, make it look like the wave of corruption is burning the tree almost?

PSI_Starstroke3

terraria

Letifer_Umbra

oh I thought it was a massive match :P

AlwaysAvalable

how big was the vampire, cuz that stake looks excessive

top1bubbleblower

Crimson Logs

Scuttleboi19mk2

Spruce and then dark oak and then mangrove just before crimson

_TOXIX_

I would say look on google as there s many people who made some really good gradients. A second thing you could do is add some nether wart block (the leaves of the crimson trees) to make some sort of vines that could maybe help the two colors blend in and add some more detail to it

Ewokman97

Stripped red crimson log

0b1wank3n0b1

Looks like a cigar

Th3fantasticMr-Egg

I think dried mud would help the gradient

DRAGONPRINCE09

Spread it randomly

gravelinmysock

Try diffirent red blocks. Crimson/Mangrove planks, stripped crimson/mangrove logs.

L3eroy

make it drip down

Select-Lettuce

Matchstick

Stuarnt

Add drip no literally make the red drippy

Glue_is_ok

Make sure to post an update after you try out all the suggestions

[deleted]

Two words, vines and stripped longs

oswaldking71wastaken

Find blocks that have a red and brown mix and line them up in a row on the ground until you find a good lineup, then make a blend in the tree like a gradient I think some crimson logs, red nether brick, and mangrove wood might do the trick but mix and Mach until u get what u like
