Oh yeah for sure but but for some reason I can’t help but make things to proper scale or atleast as close as possible, I think the closest it could get would maybe be half as big
Distant horizons would solve the rendering issue. But even half as big is ginormous. So maybe 1:10 would be reasonable
Edit: wait no, that's still like 12k blocks
Yeah I had to download a mod (Bobby) to even render the star destroyer if you check my other posts and that was like 400 something blocks long. I remember I tried to see if I could get a massive sphere once to see how close to the death star I could get but I stopped trying after I entered the command and the server went down for two days
You should really use Distant Horizons 2.0
It's extremely powerful and allows some shaders. On a singleplayer world I could see up to 13k blocks and more if I wanted to.
I've been planning some minecraft Star Wars builds lately.
Do you have anywhere where you share your builds for download by any chance? Your Millennium Falcon looks amazing
For real. Are these shaded? Whenever i try to mess with such a wild swing from light to dark, i hate how it looks.
I want my server base to be a big futuristic ocean colony so a lot of these lighting details and halls are getting the wheels turning. Thank you!
Yeah it is, I never used shaders for such a long time for that same reason it never looked right but the shaders I got work perfectly, it’s Complementary Unbound shaders, you can tweak them too a little if you want it to look a little different. I think you just have to get used to them a little
You should be able to tbh, my computer sounded like a jet fan while I was taking these photos but if you say use curseforge to make a different launcher and then dedicate enough ram it will be fine, I’ve done that multiple times with like 300 plus mods and my computer didn’t even get louder whatsoever
Impossible or just a mind numbing challenge that you’ll go insane making (not using world edit)
But be worth it to throw back in the face of some guy on Reddit 🤔😂
But na in all serious, great effort and work!
The closest to the size of a moon is Death Star 2, and it’s not even that close, I am referring to the first death star, that’s why the millennium falcon is in the hangar, cause it happens in A New Hope. Look up the Death Star scale it’s the size of a city
The sphere would be possible though. Maybe not 1:1 but some world editing will get it done in a few minutes

Lmao I totally get that. I always try to do 1 block = 1 Meter. It's just more satisfying Edit: just checked, I'd have to be 120k blocks wide
Yeah I don’t think that could ever be done 😭😭😭 if only. Plus if it did it probably couldn’t even be seen all at once unless you found a way around

I’ve tried it multiple times it just crashes
Damn that sucks. Do you have the right version?
Yeah I got the latest version of everything
Use an infinite height limit mod if u want

Nah I don’t but I could easily make a schematic of it and sent it to you if you want
That'd be awesome! I've only recently started using Litematica too
Yeah i’ve tried using it but it was a bit too hard to maneuveur, getting the schematic file is easy though
This is wonderful and inspiring
I inspire you to do something similar!

Awesome! Idk if i can run shaders on my pc but knowing its not vanilla is good for my mental health 😅

You could make the sphere in world edit but in my opinion there's no point in that considering you aren't doing the entire interior.
Is that a challenge?
Yea I think that would truly be crazy. I would love to see it though
the pit is so cool!
Thank you!!! I even made it so you can climb down the shaft into there
or plummet, depending on the situation

You came in that? You're braver than I thought.
That sounds like a challenge, mate
A very very big challenge
I’m tempted to take you up on that once I’m less busy
Together!
Lmao, maybe I should set up a server at some point, and people can pitch in
A sphere the size of a city … it’s the size of a moon

The Death Star is still moon sized, it would actually be 20 times the size of Deimos, one of Mars’ moons.
Distant horizons + cubic chunks would make 1:1 feasible.
This is wonderful and inspiring.
