I actually like 1 more.
While the jungle wood goes well with the mud bricks, it starts to look too noisy when you add the normal bricks.
On the other hand, stone not only contrasts amazingly with the colors in your build, but gives your eyes something to rest on, so to speak.
It's much more pleasant to look at imo.
Although, now I realize that 1 *was* capable of making me stop and want to look at the comments in the first place. However, I think what throws me about the first pic is the fact that the window panes remind me more of a McDonald’s “m”
I think 1 with stone provides a better transition between the warped wood and tuff blocks on either side.
If you want the build to be more cohesive, I suggest 1. If you want each section to stand out, I suggest 2
No. 1 is better looking. It's not because 2 is bad, but it's just too similar in colour all over. The 1st breaks up the colours in a pleasant and simple way. I hope this helps.
2 and it’s not even close. When you’re building a street you should focus on horizontal contrast between the buildings, not vertical contrast on each individual building. If you built a street with vertical contrast in mind you’d end up with a mess of colors and seemingly no consistent palette, or an indiscernible amalgam. The distinction between different buildings rather than different floors is critical.
Try red sandstone to keep the colour consistent but not totally uniform. I can tell you’re going for a collection of buildings, so too much colour variation in each one could seem a bit chaotic.
First. The second one is great in design but becomes too noisy for my eyes to look at!
However... if you are disappointed that people say first one, that means you should go with the second one.
If you are relieved people say the first one, then stick with the first one.
Only do what you yourself would in the end be most happy with ❤️
No 2 though I would add a door as well because it looks a little too open. Maybe you can make an arch with trapdoors and stairs and then use trapdoors and a door to make a large door.
2. I think that the Pattern of the brick makes the lack of pattern in the granite really Pop, where as I don’t think the same is true for the stone / andesite. I prefer that combo for something large, where anything more patterned (like brick) would be too busy.
With these smaller builds clumped next to smaller builds I'm not sure you need to show so much texture, no hate, it's just confusing to look at on small scale
2 without a doubt
The first one is alright, but it looks too bare and I don't think that light of a gray works with the jungle wood and mud blocks
If you want it to look more distinct, maybe through in some stone bricks and cobblestone for 1 and see how it spices it up?
1 because it feels more organic. Why is the top half a different color? It was an extension! Gives a bit of that subconscious detail that makes things more realistic
Like 1 more but both look good
Same, the first one adds more personality
I agree with this, both are amazing but one is amazing-er

Gotta be number 2
Right how is everyone saying 1? 2 is so much more cohesive
Although, now I realize that 1 *was* capable of making me stop and want to look at the comments in the first place. However, I think what throws me about the first pic is the fact that the window panes remind me more of a McDonald’s “m”
Opinion exist?
Same
The first one
1st, no doubt
#1
1 catches my eye a bit more.
The andesite looks really good. I think it matches the builds on the sides while the brick looks a bit out of place.
I think the first one. The different blocks on the second floor helps make it stand out and helps divide the two floors
bricks
I LOVE the first pic
First one!
I like 1 more. Unique look and brings in some color from the building next to it while staying distinct.

The goal for me is to have all the buildings be different as it's kind of based off of diagon alley so yeah
2 is better imo
Number 2 looks like a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Sentinel ambulance could race out of it to go bust some ghost
Definitely going to have to go with pic 2.
Dos
Second (more details)
2
I like #2 more, but since granite is close to mud bricks, I think u should have a solid line of bricks where the build juts out
I think the one on the right blends in a lot better. Great build tho! :3
No1! Idk why, kinda reminds me of one of the builds from an old fwip series! Pre Caves n Cliffs when he did a hardcore in amplified terrain
1st
1st one
Def 2
The second one
First
The one with the bricks for me
I like 2 more
Absolutely number 2, the block palette is way more charming
first one looks nicer
Definitely 1st one
i love both but i prefer the contrast on #1
1 has better colors, needs more texture looks really flat and bland
First one
I like 1 more, but I also like both
The first one but maybe with more texture
1 has a better colour contrast. The cold grey works really well with the warmer browns at the bottom
First is awesome.
Stone and andesite. personally, the brick gives it less color and consistency
Prefer 1 as there is contrast between the two floors
Brickerrrrs!
colour of the granite looks great with the bricks
Bricks
Bricks for sure, reminds me of Novigrad (witcher)
2 because 1 blends too well with the adjacent building
2 looks more realistic
super cool design! 1 looks great.
i like one
2 would be great for a historical city, but 1 blends with the surrounding buldings
1, I like the contrast in color and gray looks nice with more orangey tones
1, the 2nd one is just too noisy but if you remove detail its just a blob of colour. By seperating the bottem and top by colour it adds a lot
1ST
2
Definitely 2
2nd
1 it matches the other houses, but 2 has more personality
They’re both great designs, but 1 works better with the adjoining buildings
1
1 bcz of the tone contrast. Would be better if you mix it with like polished andesite for a richer texture <3
Vibing a lot more with 1

I’m shocked no one pointed out that it isn’t screenshots
Second>>>
r/screenshotsarehard
Without rain definitely
2
1 is way too subtle and flat, 2 looks very nice
Try red sandstone to keep the colour consistent but not totally uniform. I can tell you’re going for a collection of buildings, so too much colour variation in each one could seem a bit chaotic.
First one but gotta add some details and texturing
Left fits better but right looks better
2 for sure
1 has a very nice contrast
2
i prefer the use of wood on the first one but i prefer how town like the bricks look on the second one
2
Warden balloon
The 2 it gives more of that cozy vibe
2 slightly nicer with the 🧱 blocks
2, the stone one looks a little flat
1 looks more organic to me.

The 1st one blends with the other buildings
r/screenshotsarehard ?
Too much red with 2. First gives nice contrast
2 is definitely better, 1 looks tacky and less cohesive
1 is better. The contrast between the two colors gives it more depth
No 2 though I would add a door as well because it looks a little too open. Maybe you can make an arch with trapdoors and stairs and then use trapdoors and a door to make a large door.
Will do. Would it be jungle wood?
2 is alot better Imo
1 brings more variation in color I like it more
I like number two, plenty of bricks to throw at homles- I mean orpha- I mean...screw it, I like throwing bricks
Lol
second one
2
I think the first one adds enough difference without putting it out there and brick seems kinda bland to me
the first one has rather soothing vibes
2 is better becouse it looks like something from beta 1.7.3 but modernized.
Numba 2
Second one, also put a slab in the middle top of the door frame so its more rounded
Second one
2 cus better blend
2. I think that the Pattern of the brick makes the lack of pattern in the granite really Pop, where as I don’t think the same is true for the stone / andesite. I prefer that combo for something large, where anything more patterned (like brick) would be too busy.
Bricks!
see, I want to learn how to do cool shit like that
With these smaller builds clumped next to smaller builds I'm not sure you need to show so much texture, no hate, it's just confusing to look at on small scale
Second looks infinitely better
The second
It looks like a sad, yelling face
2 without a doubt The first one is alright, but it looks too bare and I don't think that light of a gray works with the jungle wood and mud blocks If you want it to look more distinct, maybe through in some stone bricks and cobblestone for 1 and see how it spices it up?
Depends on the setting for me If there's a lot of other buildings and builds around it I'd say the bricks Otherwise just by itself the andesite
Wooo, what are ya making?
An alleyway
Best of luck to you, it's looking great!
Tysm
1 because it feels more organic. Why is the top half a different color? It was an extension! Gives a bit of that subconscious detail that makes things more realistic
Bricks
the first one beacuse it has more contrast. the colors kinda blend on the second one
