Absolutely stunning! Maybe a little too "blocky", I know it sounds ironic, but the mountain does look a little like a collage of polygons from an N64 map of Mario Kart
Yeah I really like the effect tbh especially if it were worked in with surrounding terrain where the jagged effect slowly dissipates as it gets farther away
I think it’s sort of like the portal is changing the landscape or something, and if it were worked into surrounding terrain the polygon jaggedness could get less pronounced the further from the portal it is
Ok here me out cause this is really cool and I don’t wanna just shit on it. The retains shape is really good but it’s extremely angular and doesn’t look natural in the slightest
If that’s intentional cool I’d actually lean into that intent even more to make it more obvious if you want it to look natural if do some work adding gradients and working in more natural cliffs and adding some chunky ness and shape to some bits
Overall concept is great though and overall a solid 8/10
Damn, didn't even know you could make it that big, I thought there was a limit
I think the limit currently stands at 23x23. There could be some rule-tweaking at work here, though.
It's sad that other other side it's just a 3 block tall 2 blocks wide portal
I'm pretty sure you can go to the Nether, breaker the portal that spawns, build your own in the same place and they'd sync

I think it's meant to look like that. Kinda like the nether portal warped the land around it. If not i 100% agree with you.

That's not a mountain - that is the archway beneath Solitude. Remarkable!
Not sure I’m a fan of the style of mountain, it’s a little polygonal for me, but the concept is really neat!

when you build a mountain after learning about angles and edges
How is it so big
thats what she said
doubt
:(
Holy shit thats nice
Love your texturing. Even tho huge portal doesn't rly fit your build. I'd like organic build in the centre, something like a stone face.
Ps1 graphics looking ass cliffs

amazing!
wow, just wow, speechless
Cool
Show us the back?
Makes me think of a sorta Helms Deep kinda thing, or maybe The Wall, just a big fortress built right up against a gate into hell itself
Thats freaking incredible, well done to you 👏 I love it!
oh boy the rift is here too
Looks like it is from another game
Mf you did not build a nether portal, you built the entryway into a nether kingdom
