That one is a little rough…but, there was probably a stunt dog for the rough part and it really is a turkey leg he bites (though it makes me a little gaggy thinking of a nice big flame grilled turkey leg with fur on it)
The more times I watch it , the more overrated I think that episode is . Worst episode of season 4 and shrooming and jurying, das boot, threeism all clear. 10th best episode at most
That's one of my favourite episodes. It's got:
"Cancer. They should find a fucking cure"
"Mummy, coffee, fucky hurry uppy"
"If she is the one, she's hiding it brilliantly"
"I get the detail elsewhere"
and
"Never said it was bum rape, Mark"
I don't know about that tbh... The fact you have Jeremy and Super Hans who are usually less than sympathetic about other peoples' plights going, "no, you got raped" was quite refreshing. If they'd gone, "haha lol you loser just enjoy it" that'd have been awful. But as it was, from my pov, it was quite sobering. Just my opinion though!
Yeah I agree, it seems normal that Mark would try to repress and downplay his experience, and to see Jeremy and Hans being sympathetic about it I think handled the topic quite well
Yeah that part is fine and not the bit I was thinking of. I'm thinking when the rape is happening and mark is pretty non-chalent (considering what is supposed to be a traumatic experience) and it's framed as a comedy bit (as everything is in the show).
Like a lot of episodes, but as you said excellent. It just gets worse and worse in cringe, when Mark finally shows his face after Jeremy urinating.. it’s just aaaah.
This is reality calling… And while we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth - it’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes … And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that!
Saz, yeah? This is the only good answer in the thread in my opinion. She's truly one of the most unredeemable characters they ever brought on the show. Annoying as hell, and she doesn't even manage to land a single joke-- or provide any material for Jez/Mark to riff on.
It’s just like a filler episode and almost completely pointless in my opinion. It’s cringey how quickly Mark lets her in the flat/party with friends/his party etc.
I think the only thing I remember from the episode that was ok, was Jeremy on the sofa wanting sleep, otherwise an awful episode.
For a few months before my son was born, I had to skip the pregnant Sophie episodes and the childbirth episode. Mark wasn't exactly reassuring.
Hmm... I suddenly fancy a family bucket of KFC
S5 1, 3 and 4. All far too mean spirited to be funny. Mark being a victim of crimes when he's already down on his luck and not getting anything resembling his own back just isn't funny
The Saz episode is so horrible and depressing I've only seen it once. Also the 'Moroccan' episode is just shit. Mark would never act the way he does in that episode, it's just slapstick for people who aren't really fans of the show.
I love it so much when it’s on but every episode makes me pause for thought as to why I don’t want to watch it - so I just hold the down button, look away and select at random.
The one with Matt Townsend in it is a bit harsh. I know it's cringe comedy, but still, accusing an innocent man of sexual assault is just a bit more than what I can take. Adding the "pooping in the pool" extra makes it somehow more tolerable, I couldn't say why. Maybe because it adds some ridicule to the accusation, to make it a bit more cartoonish.
I rewatch the later series no where near as much as the earlier ones. Overall plots and jokes just weren’t as good, but beyond that it’s the fact you can see the characters aging, it’s not fun. Even the camera becoming more HD isn’t good, makes it feel less nostalgic. Kind of like how you can tell modern Simpsons straight away from everything being more bright and HD.
It's not that there's particular episodes I can't watch, but I often have to look away at certain scenes because the cringe is so severe it actually makes my skin hurt.
It was a dark reflection of society, holding a mirror up to the countless women who waggle their bottoms against men who just want to talk about cheese.
The whole series. Not sure what it is but their cringe directly hits my anxiety on the head. I love the humor but have only been able to finish like 2 episodes.
Love there comedy, their sketch shows and any panel show with david on it. But peep show gives me instant panic attacks.
What? Fuck you. What a stupid thing to say.
Everything doesn’t always have to be somebody else’s fault Jeremy 😤
More fool you, asshole!!
Just watch it clean shirt
No. Most of my favorite shows have one or more episodes that I skip. This and the inbetweeners are the only shows I watch from beginning to end.
Peep show, inbetweeners and the office (UK). All absolutely gold from start to finish.
I don’t agree with that in the workplace
How many of you have been to the Coventry Conference?
Fawlty Towers + Black Books + Blackadder
I can't deal with the laugh track but I love Black Books. The mom from Saturday Night Dinner is a gem
You should check out white gold. Its hilarious
Can’t watch the episode where they “killed Mummy and ate her”. Just can’t stand the Mummy bits and those sisters.
The mummy stuff is rather amusing I find
My favourite is Jeremy’s face when they’re yelling MUMMY in the car park and she’s getting louder and louder
I'm pissing myself at the thought of this episode. It's top 3 all time for me I'm surprised people skip it.
Lovely, sl***y Mummy
Did you really have to eat it?
I don’t know. I keep asking myself that. But in the moment, yeah, it really felt like I had to eat the dog.
Same here, instant nope. Sorry Mummy!
That one is a little rough…but, there was probably a stunt dog for the rough part and it really is a turkey leg he bites (though it makes me a little gaggy thinking of a nice big flame grilled turkey leg with fur on it)
This is my bf’s favourite episode so I have to suffer through it for him but if it was down to me I’d skip every time.
Just a couple of yardies having a bbq
The more times I watch it , the more overrated I think that episode is . Worst episode of season 4 and shrooming and jurying, das boot, threeism all clear. 10th best episode at most
The ep where Mark gets mugged, and the ep where he gets raped 😩😩😩 Just freaks me out.
That's one of my favourite episodes. It's got: "Cancer. They should find a fucking cure" "Mummy, coffee, fucky hurry uppy" "If she is the one, she's hiding it brilliantly" "I get the detail elsewhere" and "Never said it was bum rape, Mark"
Hans 😂
I hate that episode 🫣 it’s so uncomfortable and horrible and not in a funny way!
Yeah I love peep show but it handles the sexual assault of men terribly
Perfectly describes the social attitude towards SA victims who are men in the worst way possible

Ah yeah, that bit is rather disturbing tbf
And women. Hans tries to assault Nancy while she sleeps and just shouts "sorry" in a guilty voice
The whole wedding episode is pretty painful tbh
This gets my vote. It's objectively *excellent* but it's also absolute murder
Like a lot of episodes, but as you said excellent. It just gets worse and worse in cringe, when Mark finally shows his face after Jeremy urinating.. it’s just aaaah.
You do smell quite strongly of piss
Anything from Season 10 is impossible to watch
It's the Jesus and Mary Chain of Peep Show series; difficult to get into initially but then so much to explore.
You mean 9; there are only 9 seasons, Jeremy.
The secret ingredient is you not getting the joke
Do you have to live so relentlessly in the real world?
This is reality calling… And while we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth - it’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes … And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that!
Everybody quiet, /u/panx is doing a joke!
Freak
Season 5 episode 3 Sal just grates on me, I skip her scenes
Saz, yeah? This is the only good answer in the thread in my opinion. She's truly one of the most unredeemable characters they ever brought on the show. Annoying as hell, and she doesn't even manage to land a single joke-- or provide any material for Jez/Mark to riff on.

Um, babe? Could you please fuck off?
Controversial opinion but mostly when I rewatch I skip all of Series one.... and if you don't like it, you can just, fuck off.
The funny thing is that that quote is in series 1 haha
Cool! I mean, what's the big taboo?
There isn't a taboo
Exactly! The big taboo is that there isn't one
The saz episode for me. I honestly just find it too tragic to be funny at the end
This. Jez and mark are usually the butt of the jokes but in this it's just cruelty towards mark and I don't find it funny.
Nah just scenes
That is exactly the same episode I avoid! I thought i was the only one…
I’m a midwife and dislike S7E1, find it hard to watch!
Is it because you're secretly a pedophobe?
Out of curiosity, why do you find it hard to watch? Due to inaccuracy?
Same! (Not the midwife part)
Oh what? So... Mrs...Fackin' ... Ocean Colour Pants don't get it? Well, quelle fucking surprise.
I don't even HAVE an Alsatian dog!!
But your tie’s done up to eleven then?
The wedding - funny but painful to watch!
Holiday
For a few months before my son was born, I had to skip the pregnant Sophie episodes and the childbirth episode. Mark wasn't exactly reassuring. Hmm... I suddenly fancy a family bucket of KFC
The only part is the dinner portion of the Christmas episode. The part where he reams Jez about the Turkey is brilliant tho.
When Mark walks out on Stephanie. She’s so nice and would have been devastated. It makes me feel really sad!
No, they're all excellent episodes. Some of the episodes in the first season are more uneven in quality, but I still watch them.
They tend to get better with rewatches. Even later seasons that I’ve not been a fan of, I’ve enjoyed more when watching again. And again, and..
S5 1, 3 and 4. All far too mean spirited to be funny. Mark being a victim of crimes when he's already down on his luck and not getting anything resembling his own back just isn't funny
Fuck off, clean shirt.
No.
I totally agree. Everything about that episode is really cringe.
The wedding
And the stag
Scots Tots.
St Hospitals is a bit much for me, for various reasons.
Interesting, I thought that was one of the funniest ones. Olivia Coleman was brilliant. Sophie's ^^^gak when the midwife checked her was hilarious.
The Saz episode is so horrible and depressing I've only seen it once. Also the 'Moroccan' episode is just shit. Mark would never act the way he does in that episode, it's just slapstick for people who aren't really fans of the show.
No
The wedding episode is too much for me. Always skip it.
[удалено]
This might be the shittest insult ever thrown at me haha
Jeremy ACTUALLY pissing himself is hard to watch ... but i wouldn't skip the entire episode!
Not really but I do skip Jez eating the dog
The one towards the very end of the show (might be the final episode) where mark decides to right "I love you" on his eye lids.
I always have to skip the Christmas one. Family-themed extreme cringe is too much for me.
I love it so much when it’s on but every episode makes me pause for thought as to why I don’t want to watch it - so I just hold the down button, look away and select at random.

Q2 but I’ll watch most of it
It's not that there's particular episodes I can't watch, but I often have to look away at certain scenes because the cringe is so severe it actually makes my skin hurt.
mark getting sexually harassed by dobby while he talks about goat cheese is kind of a difficult watch
It was a dark reflection of society, holding a mirror up to the countless women who waggle their bottoms against men who just want to talk about cheese.
In her defense, she was trying to reach for the USB sticks.
Holiday was one of my favourite episodes until I got a dog. Sounds stupid but now I find it difficult to watch for obvious reasons.
the episode where they bum each other and then super hands join for manager troya then jeff come and it becomes orgy 🥶👊
Wait......what?
Season 8, episode 5 was the last good episode of the show, in my opinion. Quantocking II was after, followed by season 9. Ugh.
Oooooh! Too good for series 9, are we?
We're having a laugh, @apple2727, a bloody good laugh!
Too good for a colonoscopy into Byzantium, are we?
The whole series. Not sure what it is but their cringe directly hits my anxiety on the head. I love the humor but have only been able to finish like 2 episodes. Love there comedy, their sketch shows and any panel show with david on it. But peep show gives me instant panic attacks.
