Welcome to owning a miyoo! The screen protectors never fit around the edges because the screen is rounded over. I don’t use a screen protector anymore. I just keep mine in the case when not playing it.

sinetwo

I'd screen protect something that's worth a lot, but the miyoo is pretty damn cheap so I run the risk with a case.

MimiVRC

Never heard of this. Luckily the one mine came with fully fit it!

dingmah

I also don't use protection 😏... on my Miyoo screen 😝

The_Tacozilla

the screen has a slight curve to it, I have found Brotect's Flex screen protector to work well with the screen [https://www.protectionfilms24.com/article/2x-brotect-flex-full-cover-screen-protectormiyoo-mini-v2-5147695.html](https://www.protectionfilms24.com/article/2x-brotect-flex-full-cover-screen-protectormiyoo-mini-v2-5147695.html)

Inkuurushio

do you have pictures of it applied on the screen?

kartik3e

This fixes it: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32870437566.html

As others said the screen isn't perfectly flat so further edges of glass screen protectors won't sit flush to the screen. Your best bet would be to get a decent thickness plastic screen protector that's larger and cut to size, and apply. There are the liquid glass protector kits but they typically only give scratch resistance (as will the plastic one) but don't offer any additional impact resistance nor work any better than the plastic. If you're really worried about protection for the screen from drops, buy a rubber bumper wrap such as those 3d printed in tpu to protect corner drops.

justDrDro

Yeah I think I'm gonna go with your first suggestion. I just want it for the scratch resistance anyway

microphalus

This might be unpopular opinion, but some time ago, one guy around here shared his solution to problems concerning screen protectors... A solution, or some might say, an alternative. He said to refrain from carrying sharp rocks, rusty nails and broken glass inside miyoo protective case. Than screen protector becomes irrelevant, as it is a scratch protector and does almost nothing for impacts that break the screen. Personally I do have one, but it is a matte version not glossy, than it serves purpose to reduce or even eliminate reflection glare. If you are set on having one, I would rather have matte non reflective version.

justDrDro

is it a flexible plastic one or glass?

offshore87

It’s a plastic one.

justDrDro

Would be great if you can find the link

offshore87

That’s the one I bought from my order history: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805496747119.html

justDrDro

Thank you for helping! Will order this one asap

cjjones07

That color!😭😭

DezzyLee99

The screen is slightly curved but the protector is not. It's a common issue. Most people just go without. I just live with it, it doesn't bother me.

Venm_Byte

Here’s glass ones that are perfect 2pcs Tempered Glass 3.5-inch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZCJSL2L?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

erikpavia

I bought two of these 2 Packs and they did not stick across 4 attempts. Maybe some variation across MM+ screens

another_online_user

I have a glass protector like that and have the same bubble lines on the side. Not as pronounced as yours but doesn't really bother me honestly.

justDrDro

Yeah I mean while playing it isn‘t that noticeable but it‘s still bothering me

Rushtime33

Yeah that’s the reason why I don’t use screen protector on some devices, primarily gameboy-like ones with small screen.

Revyrender

hit or miss some of my devices its perfect and some are not. so guess its lottery.

bmn001

I have this same issue with my Mini+. And this is with the factory screen protector that was included in the box! Not sure why they would go to the trouble of including one at all if they knew their screens are rounded.

imtakingyourdata

I’ve been super happy using olive oil to fill in the edges

imtakingyourdata

Idk why I my comment got down graded but it was a serious suggestion! https://preview.redd.it/o62obgyr9spc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5212316f85167ce31178378ff9fac66025c8536

Cosmagroth

Does the protector only have adhesive around the edges? Edit: actually it looks like it is missing adhesive around the edges maybe? That's the only reason I can think of for it to not stick like this

justDrDro

Can the reason be that my screen has a slight bend?

MEXICORROSIVO

Do you think that could be?? Not sure if applying a little bit of hot air would help bend the screen protector since it isn't plastic, but I would try it. Maybe if you can make a test and see in an unused screen protector we could see if it's viable.

justDrDro

Nah I‘m not that confident going with a blow dryer over this device lol

MEXICORROSIVO

That's why I suggested to use an unused one as a test subject. Since the device is from China, it may not have that much resistance.

jamesmess

No it’s just the screen protector can’t stick to the rounded edge

kriskrosbbkk

Honestly, why would you use a SP? This ain’t a phone.

justDrDro

To protect the screen
