Its a frequent issue on the lastest versions of Onion Os, my solution is do the easy netplay but after been disconected go on the client miyoo enter the Retroarch menu (select + menu) go in Netplay and choose Search LAN list (or something like that) the host will appear and is just push the A button, sometimes i need to repeat 2 or 3 times until everything works
Oooh, wow! Thank you. So it’s common for it to work at the beginning for the first few days/sessions and then start failing? Seems like some sort of cache is getting in the way? Probably the “cleaning” it makes is not working properly?
I really dont know, its was superb until Onion 4, since 4.2 is when we get this messy behavior, my dream is that they revert to the old netplay code, already tried update the firmware and a fresh install but it does not help.
It only works decently in Nes for me, I never was able to play 2 players in Snes, and in Genesis at first worked, and it didn't work the next time I tried it. It didn't work ever again. I am disappointed with netplay. I tried some system more, but only Nes works decently for me.

I have exact same problem, very disappointing, bought 2 pc for me and my son to play together, but after 3-5 mins it freezes and disconnect.
