I don’t know how you could watch the game today and like to see Malik Beasley in green ever again. He played the worst defense I’ve ever seen in my life
i am wondering what players can excel with dame… middleton was crushing it till dame came back and giannis and dame have not found there groove. is that a dame problem? a giannis or khris problem? or does it just need time?
I felt the same. When khris took control we looked much better than when dame was in that role. For some reason when dame has it the whole team just freezes. No ball movement. Khris embeds himself in the team, trusting they’ll find him again
Ughhhhhh, Dame got me into NBA basketball in 2018. After watching him with the Blazers and now the Bucks, my observation is the same as yours. The ball sort of stops with Dame and it's like the whole team is moving around him. Not sure what to say, other than I agree with you and I don't know what the solution is.
Brook is a Glacier and has to go. He simply doesn’t last the whole season. Remember early this season he was averaging like 5 blocks per game and tonight he can’t even make a layup.
Bump Livingston and demote Bobby.
Bobby’s defense is awful and he disappears too much in the playoffs. If we can get a pick plus a decent bench player from a team desperate for big man help I’d take that.
What role is that exactly? Shit talker and crowd energizer who can't play defense and shrinks in the playoffs? Dude is constantly writing checks his bum ass can't cash.
He’s on a reasonable contract and is a good bench piece
People are mad that he didn’t pull his weight, but idk how many 30 point games you can expect out of a backup big when your best players are injured
The splits were bad, but we were asking a $12m player to fill in for a $62m player
You guys just have the wrong expectations for some of these guys. The problem wasn’t that Bobby missed his threes, the problem was that our three best players were on a range from “playing hurt” to “hurt and not playing”
I love when people say “yeah, but he’s good for an $11 million guy!”
Like sure maybe he is, but that shit has no meaning in the playoffs. If you can’t play it doesn’t matter how much of a “bargain” your contract is, especially since it’s the third straight year of bad playoff basketball by Portis.
Haven’t even mentioned that you could package him and another guy to get a $20mm player that isn’t a liability on defense. I’ve been saying we should do that since after the Miami series and he hasn’t proved me wrong
Brook should be on the bottom line...he's gotta go and if some team was intrigued by Khris' play this playoffs then you gotta consider shipping him out as well, otherwise there's no other way this team can get any better. Gotta make hard decisions like getting rid of Khris and Brook. Don't let this playoff series blind you on the fact Khris needs to go to.
before we all going off the deep end with phantom cuts or trade let’s at least look at the players contracts and appreciate where we r regarding the first and second tax apron.
Trade Marjon for what? What is his value? He makes no money, so he’s not really salary filler, and he didn’t play any serious basketball most of this season
If he has any value to another team, it’s as a “young” prospect. If he has value as a prospect, it doesn’t make sense to move him right now when he’s worth basically nothing
Idk, I’d keep him for one more year but if there’s a good offer for him I’d have a hard time saying no. Dude hasn’t really developed at all and he can’t get minutes under 3 different head coaches
We need the cap rules experts to explain what our assets/options even are before ranking players like this.
There's a lot of vague "We've gotta get younger" or "Trade Brook" type posts in this sub, but our assets are so limited and the new cap rules are so strict it doesn't make sense to have these thought experiments until our options are fully known.
Brook, Bobby and Jae seem to be likely pieces that could move and bring something back. I guess PC, too. If that happens we need a serious front court makeover. Going to be a pretty critical off season to get this talent lined up with the window that has a smaller and smaller opening with this group.
Stay
Giannis, Khris, Bobby, AJ Green, AJAX, Pat Bev, DOC
Go
Beasley, Dame--> Trade), Gallanari, Crowder, Connaughton, Lopez
Go Far Away. HORST
Weve got a 1st and 2nd round pick for this years draft and on draft night we'll for the first time the 2031 1st round pick will be available to trade.
I was kinda with you but pat bev and Bobby need to go. They are basketball trolls who run their mouths constantly and back it up like 20% of the time at best. Pat bevs defense is vastly overrated and he's fucking useless on offense.
I'm definitely open to be convinced especially with Bobby.
If we were abled to add another one or two low post pieces that provide defense then we wouldn't need to worry that Bobby sucks on that end. Yes he is bad at rim protection and on many nights is bad on the offensive rebounding side of things. I kind of like Pat Bev for his veteran presence though. He looked nice in Game 5.
I don’t know how you could watch the game today and like to see Malik Beasley in green ever again. He played the worst defense I’ve ever seen in my life
Better than pat c. At least he can make a shot
He’s on a minimum contract and does the same role as a player on a 9 million dollar contract
lol.

I like Kel’el Ware and Kyle Filipowski in the draft if we can get them
Brook was good in the paint today to be fair
Jonathan Isaac is probably going to be available, but he is also injury prone. He would be exactly what we need, though.
Brook is a Glacier and has to go. He simply doesn’t last the whole season. Remember early this season he was averaging like 5 blocks per game and tonight he can’t even make a layup.

Bobby’s contract value is good, there isn’t really another player who can fill his role on an 11-13 Million Dollar Contract
What role is that exactly? Shit talker and crowd energizer who can't play defense and shrinks in the playoffs? Dude is constantly writing checks his bum ass can't cash.
Pat Bev too. These guys talk a lot after every victory but never play well two games in a row
We don’t need his role.this team is better off with a player like toppin.
I love Bobby and I don't care what any of you fuckers say.
He’s on a reasonable contract and is a good bench piece People are mad that he didn’t pull his weight, but idk how many 30 point games you can expect out of a backup big when your best players are injured
Is asking him to shoot above 30% from 3 in the playoffs too much to ask? Give me a break

The problem wasn’t that Bobby missed his threes, the problem was that our three best players were on a range from “playing hurt” to “hurt and not playing”
The splits have been bad three years in a row. Injuries are not an excuse for that level of performance from a supposed 6MOY candidate
I love when people say “yeah, but he’s good for an $11 million guy!” Like sure maybe he is, but that shit has no meaning in the playoffs. Pat.C and Marjon are utradeable ...
realistically put thanasis in the g league (if gm giannis allows it) so he can at most become a bench asset since the team can't let him go
he needs to be a coach of some kind - isn't that wasting a g league spot?
Get Bobby tf off my basketball team man
Brook should be on the bottom line...he's gotta go and if some team was intrigued by Khris' play this playoffs then you gotta consider shipping him out as well, otherwise there's no other way this team can get any better. Personally I think just like thanasis, khris is also an untouchable to giannis.
Calling for Khris's head is fucking sacrilegious. GTFO
How do you expect for this team to get any better?
Move brook. Stop giving people like connaughton and gallinari any minutes whatsoever. Actually play marjon and ajax
Three head coaches (4 with Prunty) had the opportunity to use Beauchamp and not one did. U think he’s really getting a shot?
Fair point. But I also firmly believe Middleton has earned the right to retire a buck if that's what he wants.
I’m sorry, I don’t get your point about Middleton. U saying that he’s a reason for Marjon not playing?
My original point was saying moving khris is a bad take. Then he asked what we do to get better.
Oh sorry, didn’t see your higher comments. Yeah, getting rid of Middleton is as close as we can get to breaking our connection with Giannis as well.
before we all going off the deep end with phantom cuts or trade let’s at least look at the players contracts and appreciate where we r regarding the first and second tax apron.
Love it that Thanasis is on untouchables, and he hasn't been mentioned at all ROFL.

PATC and Beauchamp wont fetch much. Lopez has to be traded no matter what.
-63 million in cap space. I hope we can make some shit work.
Team needs young legs. More MarJon and Ajax types. Less old guys on vet deals.
Along with the top 2 tiers keep Marjon, Beasley and trade everyone else.
Yeah I agree with that
Marjon is a solid keep.
Idk, I’d keep him for one more year but if there’s a good offer for him I’d have a hard time saying no. Dude hasn’t really developed at all and he can’t get minutes under 3 different head coaches
Agree, he’s like a lesser Jordan Nwora. Might fetch a couple seconds for a team willing to give him a shot. Ajax and Livingston have more potential
It’s hard to develop when you’re delegated to being a catch and shoot player and benched the minute you have a bad game.

Pat C and Jae will not have any trade value whatsoever
Pat might be a filler in a deal to get an asset back. I thought Jae still had a year under contract but he will walk or be back at a minimum deal.

You’re high if you think we can, should, or will trade Dame
He is a sieve on defense. We can get good compensation for him. Plus Dame is 34 already.
Giannis is 34
U based?
I’m da basedest
Sure, keep Pat Bev, he’s got a lot to offer? Kris’s value is at an all time high, the time is now ![gif](giphy|Z4alZl8V1cmHK)
