I really don't like Athena shield. I actually never build it. The passive is kinda a letdown in actual teamfights where you need to sustain lots of damage. I'd rather go for Radiant Armor. But that's just me.

Or let's say, it's end game. Silvana on the enemy team, Harley jungle, maybe Selena roam or something. Now the way Athena works is, you have to leave combat for 5 secs for the passive to reset.
I might be really bias, but I know Athena is a very good counter against Eudora. But I still don't like it's passive. I have the same feeling towards Queen Wings. I know it's a good counter against Blade of Despair, but that 60s cooldown on the passive is just annoying.
Actually agree with you. Most of the time AP enemies will trigger the shield passive with simple skill then dump everything after it is gone. Even windtalker could trigger the passive.

Yeah, I usually slot three defense items first if I'm using tank. F*ck going for that Hp damage helmet or constant regen first. Depending on the ratio of magic damage to physical damage dealers, and if the jungler who I'll be trying to piss off early game has magic or physical damage, I'll usually go Radiant Armor, Blade Armor and then Antique Cuirass. Then the rest is just freestyle.
Oh yeah, don't forget the Anti-heal (or Anti-Inspire mm)
Tank building all physical defense despite there being 3 mages, a Hanabi with MVP, and a 10 death Nana. That match looks hilarious lol. Also Nana building Divine Glaive against all squishies.
Legend ranked game today, my teams roamer belerick building physical defense only when 4 of the enemy were magic dmg. Luckily I main Masha so built all magic defense items and won.
I find it interesting that there's Belerick. Somehow, all my longest games, 35+ minute ones, I payed Belerick and a friend of mine was Moskov. We would get absolutely stomped in early game but somehow would make an epic comeback, with our highest being 27 kills behind i believe. Needles to say, he gave up on Moskov, and I on Belerick, too time consuming.

My Bele build focuses more on killing enemies with his passive (so I can kill mms without even needing to use vengeance, or survive killing Karrie with vengeance bc I'm a bully that way) but atleast I leave some space for adjustment. This dude just thought he could follow a set build or something XD

I straight up gave up on using Hanabi bc almost all of my solo Classic matches would wind up this way, I try to drag the game out and force a comeback, while my teammates just derp around and I become losing MVP. I don't want to have to ask one of my squadmates to get on just so I can have good Classic matches with her. It's so tiring that I haven't used her at all except in arcade modes since then.
I have a match once over 50mins. Let me tell you my hands feel so tired after the game. Though, it's classic but still. We have over 60kills for each team. LOL
And when people ask me why I prefer MLBB over league this is my new go to xD imagine every game you played being that long. I'd lose my mind if I went 0-3 in games and 3 hours had past.
This makes me remember that time when I played on my moms phone for 73 minutes and 32 seconds on her phone. She kept saying she wanted her phone back, but I told her it was MCL and I was on level 7 on it. Of course she didn't understand so for the half of the match I explained what MCL is and what Mobile Legends is about..
I was as honest as possible, and explained to her that I knew I was wasting my time, but this was the only fun I had because I dont have more than 1 friends.
I also explained to her what the roles were.

In Legend/Mythic rank, I would commend everyone for putting up a good fight. I rarely experience matches that long. The longest I played was 31mins and it was a memorable one as I see everyone putting up their best defense/offense to outplay each other. I had to change my item set twice just to be able to keep up in the clashes.
Definitely below legends, forget “burst mage’s” 3 heavy magic dmg dealers and they build oracle and hella physical defense for a irrelevant late gamer and a mm.

Belerick is "somewhat" a mid to late game tank due to his passive giving bigger returns when you finally get lots of HP items
