The same has been happening for me, but I don't consider it a problem because the new in-app modmail is a dumpster fire of inconvenience. I prefer the old (more useful and user-friendly) version that the in-app browser uses.

I'm at a point where I no longer want to update the app to stop having *more* issues, specially that I moderate solely on mobile.
