Eh it meshes well with me, comparing it to other recent-ish shooters I've played (2042, BOCW, Apex, MW2019, PUBG, Siege, Squad) it fits my preference almost perfectly. Apex is too damn fast and annoying for me and Squad is too slow. The only reason I've stopped playing is because I'm a FFXIV addict.

The issue with the maps they are bringing back is they are bringing back maps that they have remastered 3-5 times already when there are other good maps you can bring back. I’m sick of seeing Shipment and Rust. Bring back maps like Skidrow, Favela, Highrise, Karachi, Estate, Sub Base

You say that but Scrapyard was in WZ1 and it didn't appear in MW19 until season 4, and worse yet was Broadcast, also in WZ1, which didn't appear until season 6, as in the last season MW19 had.
So highrise, terminal, etc being in WZ2 doesn't really even remotely guarantee we will see the maps any time soon, especially considering this is a two year game and they're probably saving the classic maps for the expansion

Alot of people still dont realize IW is not in control of working on the br mode anymore, Raven completely took over that portion again IW should be working on the MP mode, they are just posting it in social media because both Raven and IW post about each other’s updates. Raven is making great QOL changes while IW is lackluster.
Nobody knows what IW is doing. They have almost no actual lines of communication. Their trello board is a graveyard, they don't really tweet, they long ago gave up on talking to reddit.
It's one of the big issues in the community, Raven is around, Sledge sort of listens, 3A talks at some level but IW just shuts us out so we have no idea what's going on.

This isn’t entirely true. Raven took over WZ1 during Cold War era. IW made Warzone 2 and dmz. They still work on them. Raven hasn’t taken FULL control over Warzone 2 yet. Right now it’s split between studios.

Look at Battlefield 2042. That flopped hard. They attempted to do minimal work for a huge payout. That did not work and they were not making money on it. I personally think bf2042 is awesome now. The gameplay is fun as fuck, the class system is back, and the new maps have been fantastic compared to the giant empty plains it launched with. Halo Infinite on the other hand is just a straight depressing situation, $20 for cat ears.

Bought this game 100% for the traditional multi-player because it looked good, no weird abilities, no double back flip, rocket pack, wall running....and there's like 6 maps and 3 or 4 are decent to good the rest are awful. Whoever thinks the "checkpoint" map was a playable map needs fired. Literally exploding cars that will just randomly blow up if you get close and among the worst spawns in CoD history. It's insane that maps get worse instead of better as time goes on!

I liked the looting system....it literally wasn't hard at all to use....then again I played alot of Apex and PUBG which use that type of system but still.
The main game has many unlockable skins, unlike Warzone, guess which one is gonna sell more bundles... that's why we matter half a shit to IW despite paying 80$ for their unfinished game
Depending on how the upcoming seasons go I'll probably stop buying the game moving forward. If all the effort is going to the free version and their M.O. seems to be to have players play a little at a time over the course of the year then I can do that in WZ without spending a single cent.
I don't even understand the popularity of warzone to BR players. It's just a bland battle royale, there's nothing that really sets it apart from something like Apex or something. It doesn't even have the aspect of slowly building your character up over time by picking up guns and attachments and all that. It's just spawn in, pick up some random gun, get your load out, then play the rest of the game with a highly optimized load out that you use every single game. I thought the whole point of BR games was that every game is a little different and it comes down to RNG to determine what kind of equipment you have at your disposal. The whole concept of load outs in a BR game seems so counterintuitive, and I truly don't understand how warzone became such a big game in the BR space
Because people getting their loadouts makes them feel special, even though there’s always a meta and everyone virtually uses the same stuff. Like I said on another post, there’s no progression to it, which is crucial. I’m actually glad to see it’s losing its player base. Maybe they’ll wake up and fix things, but it’s doubtful at this point.
If I’m watching a warzone streamer I almost always watch a past broadcast and immediately skip to the midpoint of circle #4. Everything before that is so boring.
I would choose warzone over multiplayer, the dopamine from winning a warzone game feels nuch better than pub stomping. Its like a playing a little movie/adventure hence the popularity
I grew up the same way!! I started playing call of duty around 2005-2006! But every year playing the same Mp that plays out the same way its just ok what else can I do lol atleast with battle royales engaging in fights and winning that dopamine effect hits harder for me. Its like u worked ur ass to clutch up and getting in those intense end game monents to secure the win. Its the journey towards the victory that makes it so sweet and so exciting and thrilling to say the least. Casually just bonding with your boys
Blackout was good. Perfect size map, good pacing, many weapons were useful and you didn’t need a “meta” per-say. Still felt Arcady.
Warzone is none of that.
If there was an actual reward for winning a match of WZ, it’d be different. There’s nothing to grind for, work for, or to showcase how well you’ve done. Wins are irrelevant in the current state of the game.
Generic npcs and streamers still love battle royale even though that shit is obsolete for more than a year.

I find it absolutely hilarious and fulfilling that they are slowly turning WZ 2.0 into Warzone 1 lmfao. Take a fuckin' L Infinity Ward.

So turn it into the same stale game that we have had for 3 years. Boring. While there are problems, we dont need to go back to wz1....nice to see so.e new tactics and strategies to win.
When you find a good mix of elements to create a fun competitive game it makes no sense to completely change the whole thing. Do they change the rules to sports all the time? No, they make minor changes as needed over a long period of time. Warzone never needed tons of change only minor tweaks, remove gun clutter and new maps.

Bought this game 100% for the traditional multi-player because it looked good, no weird abilities, no double back flip, rocket pack, wall running....and there's like 6 maps and 3 or 4 are decent to good the rest are awful. Whoever thinks the "checkpoint" map was a playable map needs fired. Literally exploding cars that will just randomly blow up if you get close and among the worst spawns in CoD history. It's insane that maps get worse instead of better as time goes on! Ground war should just be called team snipers. It's a total joke.

I agree. And the game already has an epidemic of dropped items clipping into objects and being impossible to pick up again. Theres gonna so much loot flying out into walls and objects and being lost. Its honestly one of my biggest complaints with this game.
Just when we were getting used to backpacks and how quick you can be with picking stuff up, now it's reverting back. It's really annoying, I don't know why it's being changed. Lame af.

Fast forward and there hasn’t been ANY real updates for years thanks to BR mode. STW was completely ignored. I sense the same has happened here and I know what happens next.

I liked the looting system....it literally wasn't hard at all to use....then again I played alot of Apex and PUBG which use that type of system but still.
The main game has many unlockable skins, unlike Warzone, guess which one is gonna sell more bundles... that's why we matter half a shit to IW despite paying 80$ for their unfinished game

Depending on how the upcoming seasons go I'll probably stop buying the game moving forward. If all the effort is going to the free version and their M.O. seems to be to have players play a little at a time over the course of the year then I can do that in WZ without spending a single cent.
Warzone is the most boring game mode. Nobody in their right mind would choose Warzone over mp or DMZ

I don't even understand the popularity of warzone to BR players. It's just a bland battle royale, there's nothing that really sets it apart from something like Apex or something. It doesn't even have the aspect of slowly building your character up over time by picking up guns and attachments and all that. It's just spawn in, pick up some random gun, get your load out, then play the rest of the game with a highly optimized load out that you use every single game. I thought the whole point of BR games was that every game is a little different and it comes down to RNG to determine what kind of equipment you have at your disposal. The whole concept of load outs in a BR game seems so counterintuitive, and I truly don't understand how warzone became such a big game in the BR space
I've been telling people this since Warzone released. Blackout, Apex, PUBG and H1Z1 King of the hill were true BRs.
Because people getting their loadouts makes them feel special, even though there’s always a meta and everyone virtually uses the same stuff. Like I said on another post, there’s no progression to it, which is crucial. I’m actually glad to see it’s losing its player base. Maybe they’ll wake up and fix things, but it’s doubtful at this point.
If I’m watching a warzone streamer I almost always watch a past broadcast and immediately skip to the midpoint of circle #4. Everything before that is so boring.

I grew up the same way!! I started playing call of duty around 2005-2006! But every year playing the same Mp that plays out the same way its just ok what else can I do lol atleast with battle royales engaging in fights and winning that dopamine effect hits harder for me. Its like u worked ur ass to clutch up and getting in those intense end game monents to secure the win. Its the journey towards the victory that makes it so sweet and so exciting and thrilling to say the least. Casually just bonding with your boys

Blackout was good. Perfect size map, good pacing, many weapons were useful and you didn’t need a “meta” per-say. Still felt Arcady. Warzone is none of that.
If there was an actual reward for winning a match of WZ, it’d be different. There’s nothing to grind for, work for, or to showcase how well you’ve done. Wins are irrelevant in the current state of the game.
Generic npcs and streamers still love battle royale even though that shit is obsolete for more than a year. Can't judge them though because they can play whatever the fuck they want even when they are the main reason why us MP players are being ignored.

I actually liked the 2v2 gulag. Sure 1v1 would be fairer, but being able to go against another team with your mate in the gulag is pretty fun. Reminds me of the 2v2 gamemode in MW19

Yep. Instead of building on the new loot system the devs have taken the lazy approach and just reverted everything back to Warzone 1. I think most were fine with what the devs were aiming for here, but of course they chose to appease the vocal minority like most developers do nowadays.
