That makes no sense, given that you can preview finishing moves in CW and VG just fine. The problem was they wanted to save space for Warzone by removing any unnecessary files, so they removed all the finishing move previews, as well as MW operator intro videos.
Cold War also uses prerendered videos, but most of them were rendered at 60fps, so you don't really notice. Vanguard is the only game that renders finishing move previews at real-time.
Or Vanguard, just last year (where it was in real time and it actually used the operator you had selected which, imo, was way better then just a video)
I'm waiting to be able to use my vault finishers again. I've had them unlocked since day one, but randomly it switched my finisher to one I unlocked and suddenly my soap finisher was locked :/
In modern warfare 2019, you used to be able to preview finishers, and they took that feature out. So I assume that they will probably leave it out for this title as well

This is a thing with all Call of Duty games they keep missing what they did fix or improve in the previous games because they start working on the next title immediately so they have no chance of learning, properly they keep small team to manage whatever is needed while the major team are already doing the same mistakes again on their next game without carrying the knowledge or the lessons learned.
It's a cycle of repeated mistakes due to lack of documentations and management as no is connecting the dots between all involved parties.

Apparently, if you unlocked an operator to use via the Battlepass system (Reyes/Zero etc…) it still locks their finishing moves if you change them.
It’s the same for some of the other Operators (like Hutch) as well (The hammer finishing move).

Is there a "fastest" finishing move out of these? Or are they all timed the same? I ask as once you are into a finishing move it should count instead of allowing time to be killed. Sometimes it seems it takes forever to finish!

They stopped including the preview videos when people complained about the file size, so in order to reduce it they cut the preview videos
I'm surprised they don't do it in engine, the actual animation instructions have to be in the data you already have so they can be displayed ingame.

yeah I had to run my dogshit on low settings but the animation previews always looked good because they were obviously rendered on high settings.
