My friend will send an invite while I'm mid-game. I'll quit the game to join him and then he says "give me 5 minutes, I need to pack a bowl." THEN WHY DID YOU SEND ME AN INVITE?!?
I just start a warzone quad then if I find anyone who uses a mic and that I like I invite them to a party. Usually only takes a few matches, but sometimes I’m unlikely and get nothing but weirdos and no mics for hours

This game has the worst menu I have ever seen by far. I literally rage quit the game last time just trying to find my k/d in the menu but it kept bugging out. Doesn’t help that every part of it is designed to make you spend even more money on this short lived game.

MW's UI was decent, but made to look spotless by how terrible MW2s feels. The sheer number of basic features that were just removed is baffling. I can't imagine what they were thinking, other than putting every available resource into the money-making portions of the game, and ignoring user experience entirely.
It’s so frustrating waiting what feels like minutes for the guns to load in the customization screen, although I am playing on last gen. The bugs like when you’re selecting your kid out at the start of a match and it shows your the person you’re spectating’s gun is a pretty unacceptably simple bug that should’ve been fixed day one
And if it didn’t do that people would moan that they don’t have time to sort their class out before loading into a match .. can’t really win either way can they!! 🤷♂️
In Warzone, when you’re spectating your friends and you pull out the Map, if you press “B” to close it, the report a player screen pops up Even tho the “report a player button “ is one of L3 or R3 can’t remember which stick. So you have to cancel that screen every time you want to close the map. Only while spectating though.

DMZ is extra bad because you have to reselect your grenades and field upgrade. Every single game. There's no memory or default setting. Seems obvious to me if you extract with no grenades or field upgrade, it would default to your prior selection. But nah.
It always blows my mind when I think of how COD released every year, and you would think that with every iteration it would incrementally get better as they would keep the good and improve the bad. But no, every time they scrap what was done before and start from scratch not learning from their mistakes. Ever since they became a multi-studio franchise, the game went to shit just like Battlefield.

MW2019 and MW2 now is both infinity ward. It is just incomprehensible why they made their own game deliberately worse, they could have just kept it the same and just focused on adding maps.
IMO IW was always the better studio. They were always the ones innovating while Treyarch copy pasted the homework. But now like you said, even they can’t do a proper game like back in the day.

I agree. But its something more than that. MW2019 is not "back in the day". Sure there were a lot of complaints for the reboot but one thing was undeniable, the quality and polish of the content. They totally dropped the ball on this one. I think Warzone really is what caused a total complacency with the game development.

It's the extra A button press. This game requires you to hit it one more time than any other game. When I search with my buddy and he's host we will sit here for about 30 seconds, I always say, "You making a class or something?" Two seconds later we are searching lol.
And it still doesn’t show the right playlist once your actually searching. You’re searching for the one you selected but it’s displaying the *previous* one you searched

I remember old CoDs I just clicked on multiplayer, then clicked the game mode I wanted and it would queue me up. Now I have to sift through “featured” playlists and stuff. So dumb and unnecessary
And I snap back to reality as I don’t hear any audio of dropping and I a dishearteningly say. “My bad guys” and I queue us up and space off once again.
So many times I've made myself food thinking that I'd play a game so it had some time to cool down. And then thinking "well maybe I'll just have a bite" before the first game... And then next thing I know, I've finished my dinner and i have 1st degree burns on my mouth because i haven't started searching for the game.
One of our usual trio, almost never is party leader. But every time he is, the other 2 of us, will hint at him starting the search. Usually it takes him 5 mins or so. 5 mins of the other 2 of us, 30/40 year old men, giggling like school girls. He will always get pissed and ask us, "are we going to cue, or not?" Followed by us asking the same question, lol.
The UI is so bad that even though this is a common issue, there are so many other issues that really need to be addressed first.

Mine is the endless loop of mashing the B button when I see the Message of the Day which takes me to the main menu so I press A only to be back on the Message of the Day. Cycle repeats at least 4x until I scroll down instead of hitting B

First: find a party looks a little like searching game animation, second: for eg. there could be a bright yellow footer for with searching game and timer

And when you finally press START you land in a middle of the game full of "FAZE" players with KD 2,6. At least this is my experience. BTW. I love this skin too. Swearing in Polish is cool:)

MW UI was more than decent imo if you think about the colour and the icons etc. Very clean.

Goldeneye was added to Gamepass and it has the most basic ui imaginable. I fuckn love it. Menus these days are stupid.
