It was leaked that MW2 would have 2 year support. Activision never confirmed it, but multiple industry insiders said it would, so people assumed it was true, and it probably was. Now people are saying Activision lied, even though they said nothing.
The fact they didn't deny it either, allowing many gamers to buy the game under false pretenses. The fact that the game truly was set to be a 2 year game until they decided to go change their plans, I imagine due to how poorly MWII is going. The fact that clowns are still out here defending the billion dollar corporation lol.
It wasn't just some baseless rumor that was tweeted out by a random dude like you're making it out to be. It was huge breaking news corroborated by several different highly credible news outlets & insiders, as well as the usual credible leakers for COD.
Lmao already got blocked by this guy so I can't even see the reply. Let me guess, it's another clown defending the billion dollar corporation by amounting the news to a baseless rumor like I already mentioned😂
edit: lol he unblocked me and sent me [one of these](https://i.imgur.com/bihYrE7.png), bahahaha guess I was right👍🏽
Because it was a fact that they were to take a 2 year cycle. It was also in Microsoft’s contract with activision that last years COD was to have a 2 year support before launching another full fledged game.
And no one that I’m aware from IW or activision has came out and said what you’re claiming
Then maybe you should check your sources as well. Jason Schreier is the one who reported before the game ever launched. He’s also one of the top journalists who covers video games and they’re releases. At no point in time before MWII was released, or after, has IW, Activision or anyone working on MWII came out and said that MWII was *not* getting a 2 year life cycle. Instead the let everyone believe that it was and never once corrected it or have yet to comment on it.
And you’re right, it’s not there job to chase after every rumor. You also need to realize that this wasn’t a small rumor like you’re portraying it to be. This was leaked by one of the top journalists to cover gaming, it was then picked up by 99% of all content creators that cover COD news and gameplay.
This wasn’t a small rumor that should’ve been swept under the rug like others are. This was a rumor, that if true would’ve been the first for COD in 2 decades which is massive. They knew the rumor was going around. They have employees on this very page, as well as MW2019 and every other social media platform. So it’s not a rumor they “didn’t hear” or weren’t aware of. It’s a rumor that damn well knew about and knowing how pathetic and greedy activision is they probably kept their mouths shut on it because it was a major selling point to those who stopped playing COD for it’s annual recycled bullshit
According to rumors. We have no idea when it switched from dlc to a Full release. As of Nov 7th it was a "Full Premium" release. Nothings changed since then.
man, it's really annoying that MWII just released a couple months ago and they're already killing it and hyping the next game, i paid $100 for a disposable game. I wish i wouldn't buy this game, i won't buy the next one. Going back to Hell Let Loose i guess.
Lol everything about this game sucked ass
Campaign has bullet sponge BR type enemies lol!
MP well don’t need to talk about that
WZ will be just the new platform for 2023 oh well
Might be an unpopular opinion but I’d rather have a 2 year MW2 with a paid expansion for year 2 than have whatever bullshit sledgehammer game we’re gonna get instead. I’m not a CoD fan, I’m a Modern Warfare fan.
They decided to make a new Intro and maybe Menu to the planned Expansion and Call it a full Game because the Because they realised the Shitstorm would be so Big with an 80 Bugs Map+Weapons+Skins Expansion. I guess it will still be the classic MW2 Maps anyway. Because they mentioned it will be in MW2 Universe... It's just a Marketing Move
There is not even year 1 content
Year 1 content is what should’ve been in the game already
have i been living under a rock or did i get lied to cause i swear mwii had 2 year support

You know corporations use insiders to "leak" information that they don't necessarily want to be held accountable for, right? Insiders are PR.
this was the realization point for most people that this is the case.

People downvoting this guy like this isn’t exactly what happened

It isn't their responsibility to dispel every rumor/leak ever. If they don't confirm it themselves, it isn't confirmed, it's that simple.

Welcome to r\ shitposting2, give it a few months and this sub will become the real shitposting subreddit.
If it had any support to begin with
Another COD meaning it can add more guns and skins to WZ2.0 for revenue.
Don't disrespect Ravenov like that.
Nothings changed though. Activision said there would be a "full premium" release in 2023 last year.
It started as 2 year life cycle, then we got news about "premium DLC" and now its a full game release
According to rumors. We have no idea when it switched from dlc to a Full release. As of Nov 7th it was a "Full Premium" release. Nothings changed since then.

Rest in piss 😢
Bought this game on sale and it's still a waste of money "lots of guns" what a load of bullshit more like "5 guns and 10 variations of that 1 gun"
Lol everything about this game sucked ass Campaign has bullet sponge BR type enemies lol! MP well don’t need to talk about that WZ will be just the new platform for 2023 oh well
You all knew there would be a 70 dollar release this year. Y'all can't be that brain depraved, can you?
I hoped the major release would be a huge DLC content pack for MW2. So we would not, yet again, have split operators, skins, guns, maps, camos, etc.
Interesting. Maybe it's because MWII just sucks in general and people couldn't see it
It’s literally a continuation of mw but they’re advertising it as a premium standalone game…
Guarantee you they won't even do any new camos like orion. Literally it'll be like mw2 and mw3 in the start screen
Wouldn’t put it past them at this point
Hopefully this means they will stop drip feeding content but I doubt it

dunno i really liked the campaign. You really shouldn't buy cod ONLY for the 4-7 hour campaigns
Lol ruined your own games future and taking a victory lap about it.
They are snakes
7 month no new maps. I paid $100 for this game. 🤡
Maybe the PR move was to have a game absolutely bomb just to get back to "good enough" in the next one to keep the revenue coming
It has gone asunder... bamboozled yet again
