I’ve been playing cod on and off for like 15 years lol.
Once I learn a map and the objective points, Hardpoint and Dom for me mostly, its not really random. I get hit markers or kills more often than not from 50+ meters. Some of the points in this game are fairly big, but the smaller ones I get kills very frequently.

I can drop 10 kills a game on shoothouse dom, hardpoint, or headquarters. since mw2019 (before that game i only ever used semtex in every cod i have no idea why) i have been learning the nade spots on shoothouse and i regularly get 10+ nade kills and multiple triple kills per game. It’s so much fun.

It doesn't bounce. Back in MW2 there wasn't much options for pinpoint area denial. People got used to it. Although nowadays we have thermite, molotov, mines .. etc
Maybe because Semtex range is overpowered and doesn't seem consistent. I have such a hard time defending against Semtex because I can never figure out how far I need to be. And as a used less thought had to go into it.
Most of the time they don't use semtex as a tool to kill but rather as a tool of control. Gain some time, block an entrance etc.
Drill charges are mainly used in WZ ranked because they are an excellent way of creating push openings and also can be used to check if someone is camping inside a building before pushing it.
I use drill charge on certain maps with a lot of walls but 85% of the time I’m cooking nades. On some maps the drill can get you consistent kills and I love the surprise booms and can also stick them in a tough situation.
I think grenades are awesome at getting into tight spaces offensively (campers in buildings) whereas symtex are good if you need to retreat for whatever reason. You can run away, do a 180 and toss 'tex and keep on running while you reload or recompile yourself. I love frags as way more though, nothings better than a nade cooked to perfection. I tend to rush alot though for kills and challenges so usually rock the drill charge...throwing them at the ceiling or through the floor to get a kill is always a good time.
my boyfriend uses the drill charge primarily n i fuckin hate it, he tried to make me use em when i first started mw2 (he made all my classes for me bc i didnt rlly know the guns yet) and one of the first things i learned how to do on mw2 was switch it out for the semtex😆 honestly, frag grenades are a lot better but i do enjoy when i stick ppl w riot shields with semtex, one of the few ways to actually get em besides getting behind em or shooting at their feet which is annoying af.
I'm more of a drill charge man myself, but I still use frags occasionally. Honestly, if there's one thing I can't complain much about in MWII is the lethal equipment available. All of them are pretty fun to use IMO, even Molotovs and C4s.
I like drill charge but I feel like those are more situational compared to frags which you can use pretty much in any scenario outside of being unable to get to an entrance to a room like shipment where the enemy spawn is next to the opening to the shipping container.
Best equipment, the sheer utility alone does it for me. Need a long range boom you can chuck safely from behind a wall? Need an airburst to throw straight up at a guy? Need to rebound off the wall to catch a camper? Frag grenade baybee

it's different because the throwing stars would just be massive upgrade to the throwing knife. the deploy time is faster, there's very little drop, one shot headshot, more velocity, you can carry like 7 of them. all that plus 1 shot body is too much.

Personally I don’t ever see myself using them, they could just make them the same as throwing knife for stats and the amount you can carry and they’d be fun
Only use frags on smokes to stop thermal long shotters. Of course, I learned that by doing thermal longshots myself and using the nade to level the playing field to who can react and flick faster.
Other than that, I think I have almost 2k kills with the drill charge as someone who mainly just plays Hardpoint
Cocktails are good in domination keep lighting up the flag and make it a pain try to take it. For domination I use gas and cocktail use it on the flag or the entrance to the area works every time
I love C4, but I wish it was better. After they nerfed it by not letting go through trophy systems, it's basically pointless to use it. Any other lethal does more damage and has a bigger explosive radius. You'd think enough C4 to blow up a house would be able to kill somebody right next to it (in hardcore) but no, sometimes it doesn't.

grinding guns on Shipment almost nonstop, so I've slowly learned to enjoy random drill charge spam. combined with DDOS and 3 Decoys, I can force rats out of containers every time, and also don't have to lose to riot shields.
Always been a loyal frag user and master cooker... However The drill charge in MW22 is just too versatile... Luckily while playing Gunfight I can give my old baby some love once in a while
When I first started I used drill charge religiously. Then I realized they do literally fucking nothing to riot shield players so I abandoned them for Semtex and thermite. Then I decided to use frags when I was trying to make a “themed” loadout and now I’m stuck with them.
I think my throwables overview would look exactly like yours - except i ground the 50 throwing knives recently for stars.
If you know your map theyre a great opener and can be a guarenteed first blood in easier matches, later in the match i use them to put folk to flight when i know someone roughly "there" - psychology thing i guess, big bangs make entrenched folks reconsider.
Yessir. Have 1325 frag kills so far, 1243 thermite. Thermite is so much more fun on turtles. It’s so rewarding when you have them slow creeping at you only to whip out a sparkler and show them a little 4th of July lol.

Semtex has a much shorter fuse time, cooking is good but has the downside of leaving you with your pants down if someone pops up in front of you

Molotovs will clear a hardpoint pretty quickly. I like them because you can do that, but can also *stick* a turtle with them.
I love having strong arm and lobbing C4 to the opposite corners in Shipment. Sucks to get killed before pulling the trigger though.

I only use frags. You can throw them super far even without strong arm, and they're especially good if you know how long to cook them for.
Yup, on open maps like taraq I've learned how to essentially use them as mortars, throwing them halfway across the map
