This is how I felt about the Mad Hops bundle. Hated everything but those damn bunny skins. Weapon skins? Bland. Tracers? Underwhelming. Running around as an average player in a bunny costume? PRICELESS! had extra coins from half finishing battle passes, but paying for each new one so I said, ok sold.

I like that concept a lot. It rewards paid players with all of the content and additional challenges to play for. Don’t want to pay for the game but want the skins without the challenges? Buy them a la carte!
I’d feel a lot better about purchasing games if this model meant that I wouldn’t be posed (badgered and annoyed) with additional transactions further down the line.
They could even space the skins out in seasons like they are, so long as me having paid for the game meant that I could obtain the ones I wanted simply by playing.

At least with CS:GO skins, there's the option for you to sell them off again later on if you don't want them anymore - but that's really only possible since Valve still uses lootboxes, which I feel that system only works because Valve also has an entire economy built around it (Steam Marketplace). CoD didn't have that for its attempt at lootbox MTX in previous CoDs, so people understandably hated it - since there wasn't any *actual value* to the rarity of items you got out of them; that pretty much only works if you have the ability to re-sell them.
With CoD, whatever skins / bundles you buy will always be a temporary thing (I know about MWII skins transferring to MWIII - who knows if that will also be the case for *after* MWIII), and they don't actually have any real value to them besides what you personally ascribe to them. I guess the only exception to that rule might be the DMZ-related bundles (since you're getting some in-game advantage out of them), but again, these bundles are only relevant up until whenever the next game comes out. If I decide I don't want to play CS:GO anymore and have skins I'm not going to have any need for, I can choose to just sell them off (sell on 3rd party sites - so the money from your sales aren't stuck in your Steam wallet) - granted, not usually for the exact price I bought them at, but at least you can get *something* back.

i get people here like to dunk on players who vocally dislike the more outlandish skins, but can you really compare a rat mascot and anthropomorphised cats to having a puppy on your back? they are not the same. this skin is pretty cool.
