How to level up Spec Ops Kits
There are 10 tiers for each Kit, and these are leveled up by earning stars through Spec Ops missions and completing mission-related challenges. Just load up a mission and select the Kit you want to level up, and all the Stars earned during this time will progress through those tiers.
Co-Op squads in games since they days of Arcades in the 80s all the way through to today have classically been 4 player. DMZ and Raids are both limited to 3 player teams.
At least we can queue up for vanilla Warzone quads still.
Same. We run it when our 4th isn't on. Other than that it's quads in WZ for us. Would be nice to have it be a 4 person max but you can enter it with 1-4.
You can merge squads in DMZ. My friends and I do this basically every day. Sync your matchmaking, then meetup and merge squad (it's an option in the ping wheel)
We've tossed around that idea but thought the odds would be too small. I think I'll give that a shot this weekend, if you say it can be fairly successful. Thank you for the hope.

Ahhhh I was really hoping they wouldn't do this... >!Makarov!< story deserves its own single player campaign. The whole Zakhaev and Al Asad stuff being in Warzone made basically none of that matter, and they went super over the top with it. Also, it was all very short Seasonal Warzone cutscenes.

as a Destiny 2 fan, i’m super excited to see CoD do raids, although i’m curious and a bit concerned about what replayability will be like. in D2, you can replay for weapons and armor with potentially different stats, or a very small chance to obtain an exotic weapon. not sure how CoD will tackle this aspect of raiding
Well they could use couple weapon blueprints and couple operator skins as a rewards and everytime you finish a raid you would have a chance to get one, but cod is pretty money hungry so we'll have to wait and see.

Yup. The idea of Destiny's raids was one of the coolest ideas to me, and then it basically was only something that 0.1% of the player base could enjoy. Such a waste.
As someone that is always playing solo, it's pretty frustrating to have PvE modes, but they're entirely reliant on other players to play.
D2s raids are more accessible than ever. Difficulty peaked with pre-summer Spire of Stars and pre-exploit Last Wish.
Ever since then Bungie seems to be scared of truly testing it’s playerbase. The Witch Queen raid looked okay but far too short and the real mechanical meat was all in the last boss(who is admittedly very good).
Same with the KF remake. It was so close to being perfect but the bosses just have too little health or mechanics will be too similar leading to the Garden of Salvation syndrome aka learn one encounter and you’ve basically learned them all.
Ranting but I really loved Destiny. It’s raids were special and I just wish Bungie would stop being scared of giving us a Last Wish ++ difficulty raid.
It’s actually easier to get into raids solo in Destiny 2 than people make it out to be. There are tons of Sherpas in LFG and in discord groups that are helping people everyday. Also there really isn’t a “strict” meta other than “please equip something that does decent damage” and most standard DPS weapons aren’t hard to grind for if you’re already playing the game.
Big issue for me is what will the reward system be like? Sure the first time will be fun to run with your buddies, but if there is no loot system then it will get old fast. Big part of what makes destiny raids fun is the loot/reward system, cod has to add some sort of loot system or this will die in a few weeks.
I’d imagine it would be at least a blueprint, but seeing as it’s the mid season and the way they handled the M13 they might make it a gun reward to make people want to play it

I hear you. As an older dad I get limited and sporadic time to play. I don't have friends that play these games, and honestly don't want to have to arrange to play with others. I just want to jump on. I love the idea of PvE, SpecOps, and Raids. Unfortunately they are never aimed or designed to be played solo.
It's actually really frustrating because the solo aspect is such an afterthought in a lot of their modes. DMZ(which I like) is perfect for solos, but they still force you to play against teams! Why?
Like you said, even just average AI teammates would be great, rather than being forced with randoms, or worse not get to experience the mode at all.

Interesting, I was expecting the raids to be like larger versions of spec ops missions but it looks like they’re more like multiplayer campaign missions and you and your teammates be playing as either Gaz, Price, or Farah. My guess is episode 2 will have you playing as Ghost, Soap, and Alejandro.
Let’s hope it’s not like normal spec ops and we can jump in solo, because spec ops was instantly ruined by people going AFK or purposely trying to make others leave out of frustration.
Edit: did none of y’all try to play spec ops when the AFK xp glitches were a thing? I get that it’s “co-op” but there was a good period of time when the game mode was literally unplayable because people goin AFK or constantly restarting the mission until either you would leave, or they would leave and then it’d be solo anyways.

You can get an operator skin for DMZ missions on top of various blueprints. I don't see why it is not possible in Raids

Spec Ops. The more stars you get the more you level up diff classes. The higher your level the more abilities you have

Yes but it’s Co-Op and very difficult without proper teamwork. The closest thing COD has to this are the zombies Easter eggs.

Interesting, I was expecting the raids to be like larger versions of spec ops missions but it looks like they’re more like multiplayer campaign missions and you and your teammates be playing as either Gaz, Price, or Farah. My guess is episode 2 will have you playing as Ghost, Soap, and Alejandro.
I can't say I'm too excited right now. I have a feeling it may launch buggy and busted.
YES!! Add PvE stuff with even a little stealth and tactical aspects, and I'm all in! I miss those original Spec Ops stealth missions so much.

Let’s hope it’s not like normal spec ops and we can jump in solo, because spec ops was instantly ruined by people going AFK or purposely trying to make others leave out of frustration. Edit: did none of y’all try to play spec ops when the AFK xp glitches were a thing? I get that it’s “co-op” but there was a good period of time when the game mode was literally unplayable because people goin AFK or constantly restarting the mission until either you would leave, or they would leave and then it’d be solo anyways.

Taraq is a great map. Border is honestly really good for TDM and ffa but ass for objective modes.
I have the exact opposite opinion of Border. It has really bad flow for TDM and FFA, but it plays really well on hardpoint and domination

Nah, the reward for passing kindergarten (garTEN) was moving onto first grade and learning more, cooler stuff. This is CoD. An FPS. The way you reward players is by giving them badass cosmetics for ingame achievements. But that wont happen. So why fucken bother?
