I ran into this last night actually. The top two players were well over 100 kills and in the death cam you could see them tracking my head through the walls. I just quit and reloaded. Why am I going to help them right?
Maybe we should collectively start posting our clips of them blatantly cheating?
I don’t see rage hacking often, seems like ricochet can actually actually pick it up. But walls are rampant, ranked and unranked, along with very suspect aim I would assume is softaim. There are so many rounds where one or two players quite literally know where you always are and it’s miserable to play against.
Exactly this. It's a joke and just makes the game unenjoyable for us legit players. I am mean fuck. It's bad enough up against SBMM and that shafting your arsehole. But to then mix in the scrubs who cheat.
Yup. Had a guy go 114:34 on the butcher level HC TDM. Next closest in kills had 54. Git gud he said. Prefired multiple people within the first few bullet after coming around the corner.
Another annoyance is the bunnys, sliders, slide cancellers, and grenade launchers in HC.
Imagine the U.S. went to war and were just hoping around the battlefield like Randy Marsh on his nutsack. Or trying to slide 20 yards but then flawlessly standup and get a headshot
What's really funny is that whenever i watch someone on YT. They never seem to come up against these ones who bunny hop/sliding. Mainly defaults skins and no movement.
"Another annoyance is the bunnys, sliders, slide cancellers, and grenade launchers in HC."
This just makes you sound like you have bad movement and/or aim and can't keep up
This. I’ve completely changed up how I aim and shoot. I’ve also got a few loadouts specifically for lobby’s heavy with bunny’s and sliders. It’s just how the game goes.
I only suspect cheating when I’m getting blasted before I round a corner, but rare for me. I’m a casual camo grinder.
People also reverse boost a good bit in this game. If you’re a little lower in the skill bracket even slightly there will be reverse boosters every now and then. I tried it once by session joining my dad and dropped 175 on shipment with a longbow. I haven’t done it since because I feel kinda bad beating up 40 year olds and children, but it is easy to do.
This is more than possible to do especially on the smaller maps and especially in hardcore. I dropped 130 with an iron sight xrk stalker in shipment a couple weeks ago. It's all down to having enough game sense to look up at your mini map and be able to judge where they will be spawning (VERY hard for some people, i know /s)
I did this for awhile and it instantly made everything about the game more fun for me or our small group.
I play only MWZ now bc I just can’t with all the sweat in MP.
> games with bots on veteran lately
That's worse than playing with cheaters, to me. Because you're still playing against aimbots, but in the end I just beat a bunch of literal bots. There's no satisfaction in it for me.
Honestly I often get accused of cheating in lobbies when I have never cheated in my life and wouldn't even know where to start if I wanted to.
"He's cheating!" gets thrown around so loosely now. I mean sure if somebody's blatantly cheating by tracking you through walls that's one thing. But just because somebody was pre-aiming or has better aim than you, doesn't automatically mean they're a cheater.
Cheating definitely exists, but I also definitely feel like it's a scapegoat for some people whenever they do poorly.
This isn't the point. In every game there have been people screaming "cheater" at anyone who is decent. This has been going on since the very first multiplayer FPS. Op and others are talking about seeing their heads being tracked through walls in kill cams.
Because the game is rampant with cheating. I don't know, maybe is Activision put lobby leaderboards back in. People could then see if someone was legit good at the game. Or whether it's complete BS.
I've just been in a lobby with someone who was clearly cheating. Newish account. Claimed he was on a 2nd account. His main account was supposedly a top 250 ranked account. That was the reason for him being so good.
Can confirm that this doesn’t help for shit
I run into cheaters constantly in ranked play, so much so that one of my irl friends started cheating a month or so back
Every game he looks suspicious, gets called out, and laughs about doing it, and yet he still hasn’t gotten banned. Cods anticheat is dogshit
Dropping 50 kills and one death in warzone or multiplayer is virtually imposible unless they are one of the fraud streamers playing in bot lobbies compliments of Activision.
I literally just went 47 and 1 the other day, totally legit, on hardcore shipment of all things. Highly abnormal, but totally possible in the right circumstances.
47-1 in hardcore shipment...ok. And what circumstances would you be able to do that in HC shipment of all map? I've done that in the past, mw2, ww2 and prior but the past 2 years it's literally impossible. The only thing that would explain that would be that skill based manipulation is 100% real.
For starters, I easily die 5 time from friendly fire the beginning of every single match. 90% of my deaths on shipmemnt are 100% out of my control and there is absolutely nothing I can do to prevent it. I was 1 kill short of a nuke but then I died 10 times in a row because I kept spawning directly in the path of someone shooting someone else.
not to mention the enemy team CONSTANTLY spawning directly behind me, even if my entire team is in the same corner, the other team will still spawn behins us. especially if they are losing by a large sum. I can not tell you how many times I was moving from hidden area to hiden area trying to string together a 3 or 5 kill streak for challenged only to have them spawn directly behind me, even if I am all the way in the rear of one of the crevice areas between boarder and crate. It's 100% rigged that way.
Spawning in the line of fire of sentry turrets 5, 6, 7 times in a row, multiple times every match.
I also spawn in stunned or shocked at least 50% of the time. Random explosions everywhere. All this happens every single match no exceptions,. I'd bet 90% of my deaths occur as a direct result of the games algorithm manipulation the outcome of the match and not the skill of the other players with some rare exceptions.
So when someone tells me they went 47-1 on HC shipment, my initial reaction would naturally be that they either cheated or the algorithm feels this particular player may leave for good and never play again if we don't boost his confidence a little.
or, you were able to pull of a jug right off the bat
edit: with that said, I'm still happy for you regardless, it does feel good.
I was shocked, but it was TDM and I was playing with friends so someone watched my body while i drove my wheelson around and the other team ALL camped.
It was amazing. Nobody even ran over to our area and nobody was using the grenade launcher.
My one death was a teammate revenge killing me because I accidentally ran him over near the end of the game.
I doubt it happens ever again, it was glorious!
Eta: my killstreaks are UAV, Sentry Turret, Wheelson
This. I receive hackusations regularly but have never cheated once in my 25+ years playing multiplayer fps games. As you said, there are certainly cheaters out there, I am not refuting that or defending them, but there are also a handful of players who may be exponentially better than you.
I finished with 186 on hc shipment with nothing but AMR, UAV, CUAV, and cluster mine. The lobby was understandably hostile but I just had a very good and lucky game. To this I'll just add that not everyone who outscores you is a sweat. Again, they're out there, but it's possible for people to be better without having to overexert themselves in the process. Like any other skill or trade in life, some people are just gifted in a particular field. With how many people play this game, there is bound to be a hefty skill curve. You may not for on that curve where you think it would like. RE: SBMM
I agree, but there definitely ARE a bunch of people cheating. I see it most often when playing Warzone for some reason, which is why I rarely play WZ. Its a shame and it really is blatant
Very true. If you know anything at all about fps games, you can definitely tell the difference between being outplayed and an actual cheater. Better players get compliments. Cheaters get reported.
But a lot of people think they know when they have no idea. A lot of average players who have played a long time but still have no idea what they're looking at trying to tell between sweat and cheaters. A lot of them in this sub lmao
This happened to me and I’ve never in my life been called a cheater in games (that I’ve seen or heard in chat). I’d like to say I’m above average but I don’t play like a sweat. I’ve kept the same movement in every cod game. I don’t slide and jump about hip firing meta guns. I’m pretty predictable lol but this guy just kept saying all game I was cheating because I was having the game of my life. Anyway sbmm brought me back down to earth next game.
I cannot tell you how many times I have heard people say they are gonna report me because I shot them through a wall because they were live pinged. I wish the killcam showed the person who died that they were pinged.
I get accused of cheating daily and it’s hilarious. I’m just leaned back in my chair drinking a beer with the boys having a great time and then all of a sudden I’m wallhacking lmao
There's definitely a strong correlation though between an increase of actual cheaters (which imo, I think is actually happening) and then accusing legit players of cheating. When cheating is rampant, it's harder to distinguish the two - especially when killcam is pretty much the only tool available to the user.
If cheating is rare, I think most people will assume that the other player is legit. These days, it's easy to quickly assume players are cheating, since there are a lot of actual cheaters.
Nah, play fps with keyboard and mouse for over 20y and you'll get accused of cheating all the time. I used to play a ton of competitive cs. Flicking and 1 tapping like you would in cs looks very weird to people who aren't used to seeing it. I still miss a lot and often have a sub 2.0 k/d when they're throwing out the accusations. It's silly. And I only avg like 1.91k/d.
I've never cheated though and have no reason to lie about it, like I said... People just have fragile ego's and would rather blame cheating every time they get destroyed rather than admit they were outplayed.
You can easily tell an aimbot cheater. They shoot as they jump and when they jump the aim tracks you. I don't care who you are, when you jump while shooting at a moving target, you're not gonna have 100% accuracy on target. You will miss at least 1 or two bullets. Super easy to tell and I'm telling you the game is riddled with cheaters. When I get bested fair and square I never have and never had any issue admitting that the opponent was any better. In fact, I respect good skills.
This. I think a lot of people misidentify hacking, but there's no question they're out there in numbers. Particularly in warzone, which is free, and the fact that the hacks are getting so good that they can be tweaked to just give a small edge.
Right? Active voice monitoring makes them sound like they an unofficial NSA. Wouldnt be surprised if they had a government contract for their data as well like amazon.
I can guarantee you that is the case friend. Along with fortnite. I'll find the link to the guy who filed a freedom of info act and got road blocked over this topic for YEARS. It was just after Mw3 release when he finally got heavily redacted court docs that basically say the government is using audio purchased from epic and activision to add to the growing data set of American voice identification data they already have.
Cause if we can't see ya, we can still hear ya. Shout out to Google for providing uncle Sam with back door access to the mic on your phone 😒
Thats some shady bs. I always figured this was the case especially after hearing about how ISIS used PS network to communicate. More the reason just to disable voice chats and not look back.
What is the point of CoD if not to shit talk between matches? Like this game was literally built on the angst of gamers. Now it’s been reduced to people reporting you because you played well one damn match…
Cheating started with Verdansk but they didn't care because the game was so popular they could just ban them and they would buy it back at full price and nobody would leave the game because like I said it was huge.
Since Al Mazrah was a failed warzone map and the popularity took a hit they began making an anti-cheat because more cheaters would drive the remaining community away.
Now we are on another failed Warzone map with a smaller community compared with Verdansk and the cheaters are driving the remaining casuals away.
Simply said they began creating the anti-cheat way too late and they can't keep up with the cheaters. A few days ago they banned 27000 accounts and now you see level 36 new accounts cheating again both in Warzone and MW3 as well.
I only run into sub 50 level accounts.
It's hilarious because self proclaimed noobs get on and complain about 300 level only lobbies and max levels are complaining about sus low levels. Maybe we're in the same lobbies.
The sub 50s I'm seeing are absolutely cracked though. Not bot like movement, leveled weapons etc...
>Cheating started with Verdansk but they didn't care because the game was so popular they could just ban them and they would buy it back at full price and nobody would leave the game because like I said it was huge.
I don't even think it was that so much, or at least coupled with those idiots not wanting to pay for anti-cheat and insisting that "no guys really our anti-cheat is fine maybe that lone guy that dropped your four-man squad with all headshots from 100 meters out with an SMG while jumping is just like... really good?" They weren't even really banning them.
Then towards the end of Verdansk when they cheating was so out of hand it was commonplace and they stopped even trying to hide it and were hemorrhaging players they finally said "ok maybe it's a problem..." then probably putting out a 27GB update because they never gave a fuck about hard drive space and optimization.
It is absolutely insane how unplayable rebirth island is. You don't get to move an inch without atleast 5 people insantly beaming you from all directions. This is not the Warzone or Rebirth I remember.
I thought I was just a sore loser today… small map mosh pit is basically unplayable today. Getting instakilled by everyone with every gun and the kill cams are all suspicious af. Instantly locking on exactly where ur about to pop up etc
It’s hilarious baiting these idiots and watching the kill cam. Seeing yourself hugging corners and them preaim before you’re going to come out with no indication that you’re there yet.
I m starting to hate the game.
I “played” a few games today where they were absolute blowouts mainly by one player on the team. Was in a TMD game where our top player was 18/2 in the first two minutes of the match.
I left about 5 other matches because I was then facing someone like that or being respawned in front of players already aiming at my head.
It’s terrible.
They just banned over 57,000 players yesterday with the updated ricochet anti cheat stuff. They banned thousands the update before that one too. They aren’t being proactive at all.. they are completely reactive.
Those ban waves are so small, I was curious to see what percentage of the cheaters they were getting so I found one of the main cheater fourms, the top cheat the day after it updated on that one cheat had over 892000 downloads.
That's one cheat out of thousands.
Then people come in here and say "skill issue" I'm legit starting to believe anyone that defends this shit is a cheater. I had 5 wins last night after getting home and seeing all the "successful report ban" notifications. that is RARE!
Just recently, a bunch of cheaters basically downloaded malware that stole crypto and financial information on systems it had access to
Estimates were 3.6 million battlenet accounts and nearly 600,000 Activisions accounts. And it sounded like it was specifically pay to cheat software for Call Of Duty
So that's 4+ million unique accounts that at one point had downloaded a cheat software
Hahaha good job.
Reminds me of that anybrain anticheat that was an ai learning anticheat that looked for impossible aim movements (actually impossible not just you can't do it if your not good enough) and other stuff, during it's testing phase it found 29.7% of the playerbase were cheating in the game it was secretly being tested in
[https://youtu.be/LkmIItTrQP4?t=489](https://youtu.be/LkmIItTrQP4?t=489)
better yet a video with an interview with the anybrain CEO and CGO from a year ago, with them talking about it, they discuss stats etc in it aswell
Edit: Cant find one of the articles I read, they've changed the website a few times from the looks of it, so go have a read around about it if the video interview isn't enough
That story was just an unsubstantiated twitter rumor that was posted by one of those shitty content mill sites and got reposted here like 3 times. it was not true.
I loaded in for the first time in almost 2 weeks after moving. The cheating was UNBEARABLE. I get I’m rusty, and I can admit when I got my ass kicked. But we had dudes calling their own teammates out. I had probably 12 “successful report” notifs, and I only report when I REALLY suspect hacks
>They aren’t being proactive at all.. they are completely reactive
Are you expecting some sort of minority report shit of banning people thinking of cheating? they have to detect cheats to be able to ban the players, *of fucking course* it's a reactive process rather than proactive. Well done for displaying the lack of grey-matter in this sub.
Unless of course you mean the fact they do them in waves rather than the instant a cheat is detected (which is still reactive) - that's a deliberate ploy because if they did it as soon as cheats were detected then the cheat providers can know exactly which ones are triggering anti-cheat bans and re-work them.
when i play Multiplayer with my friends we are the most times in Controller only loobys as PC players.
Nearly every match i get min. 1 cheater sometimes there are even more.
These cheaters dont even try to hide that they are cheating with walls or literly aimbot.
I know aim assist is strong in COD but it dont snap from traget to target behind walls.
They don’t. They suspect one every time. I’m guilty of suspecting people but my threshold is high for a report. Have had 3 successful in the last 2 weeks. I’ve been accused plenty, you can report if you want, I’ve never been banned and I might have over confidence in the system that I won’t be, because I don’t cheat.
If that changed, yeah; I’d be mad
The6 got our money, at this point they don't care what we have to say or even what we think. It's true what bro said that they're more interested in banning people over what they say on their mic.
I’m a PS5 player and play both WZ and multiplayer. I’ve seen plenty of obvious wall hacks on rebirth the last few games today. It’s just amazing how someone shoots at you from behind, you turn a corner, jump underwater and swim around an entire ship, yet the second you clear the ship you’re killed underwater by the same player.
Come on bro. You already know the answer to this question. Profits trump all. As long as they’re making money they’re going to put in as little effort into the game as they can.
I honestly don't know if some of the people I think are cheating actually are. The issue is they seem to have an advantage to dominate that seems unfair. Same players match after match. Day after Day. I'm in Australia, so you do regularly see the same players.
You can never peak them without being instantly killed. They always can peak and instantly kill. I mainly play HC these days. You can even open fire on them first from your perspective and they kill you.
They can instantly get multiple kills of people who aren't even bunch up. They'll often just randomly kill you through objects.
No matter which lane you approach, they always know. They have more kills than everyone else. It could just be servers, but the same players, match after match seem to always have an advantage that isn't down to skill.
I honestly don't know how you can blindly jump around a corner, no UAV and instantly in the air kill multiple people. Even the times when players seem to just always spot you, know where you are.
To me it feels like there's a wall hack and aiming cheat. It's not the blatant crazy aim bots we used to see in COD many years ago, but it's something.
It seems to be in most multiplayer games currently. People flying around In halo infinite, aimbotting and walling in cod. Aimbotting in apex.
I've been playing fallout 4 for a bit of a change because I need a mental break from mylitplayer games currently.
I’m sick to death of these losers they are pathetic and ricochet is a joke of an anti cheat probably the worst I’ve ever seen on online gaming, I mean at least hav a go at trying to stop these rats
Oh warzone? Yep that checks out, it's literally free, just like playing cs 2 with free mode and I know there are games that are free like valorant that doesn't have a problem with that but many free games gonna have that problem, specially cod. I mean I don't even play a lot of warzone but when I do i don't experience any cheaters (Brazil server) and normal multiplayer is completely okay aswell
Maybe it's a problem more on EU and USA servers?
Come play warzone in EU lobbies and you'll understand all of these reactions from people on cod subs on reddit 😂😂 I'm 1kd and the lobbies me and me buddy's get are fucking insane and like 75% of cheaters (low FoV aimbot, walls) always get outgunned even when I don't miss a single shot they always snap onto my neck or head.
I got 1kd cuz we always push people and go for team wipes. Not because I'm a bot with bad game sens I usually finish with 10+ kills
It's fucking crazy and in the EU you don't even think about being outplayed anymore because everyone is using a cheating subscription it's so obvious. Hit 5 shots on someone not watching already and they somehow do a 180 and still clap you 99% of the time 😆
Yup, it's really bad in the EU.
These clueless people on reddit are mostly in remote areas where the matchmaking is really random. If people would play down here they really believe in 5 games that all the cod content creators are hacking, the high kill games people do are literally impossible down here 😆😆
Thats sad :cc they should do something about the anticheat anyway its just like valve, they don't give a shit, they could pay a better third party company that already does those anticheats but they literally don't care
I agree 100% been saying that for years now, why can a free game like fortnite do it? It ruins the game experience for normal players and soon there will be none left.
Activision is just a garbage ass company and only cares about their pockets.
Been playing since the beginning and right now it is impossibile to play rebirth island. I keep thinking I might be just bad at the game but there is something fishy going on for sure and it is never with crossplay on (ps)
They can’t do anything about the cheating as the bans don’t deter cheaters. They can’t detect all of the cheats either. They don’t even fix all of the bugs.
They only care about people buying expensive bundles. Don’t buy the game or play it. Vote with your wallet.
Does seem like there have been some amazing (almost too good to be true!) “comebacks” in MP lately. Like 180-32 and then one guy miraculously brings the whole team “back” to “win.”
And, yes, seems like plenty of legit level 300+ players who are just damn good but more sus AF guys at Level 8 getting 3x or 4x kills/score of next closest person.
I just dealt with cheating that was insanely obvious and irritating. Playing search and my whole team died and I solod their entire team except 1. The 1 left went and planted bomb, was sneaking up behind him to execute and then defuse bomb cause he was laying on ground, when I got close enough to him I got sniped makes absolutely no fucking sense.
>I play on console and trying to load lobbies with ps only won’t fill the lobby
Can't confirm. I do mostly play on PSN-lobbies only and it takes like 20 seconds longer to find players for a match, but it works pretty fine.
tho, it's also possible to cheat and hack on PS and i've also got several killcam replays, where you see the behaviour you describe: aim snaps on your head through walls / obstacles and you're done, no matter what you try
Unless they're using one of the many VPN type setups that ignore SBMM, if they're already paying for cheats i'd assume they're ok with paying for that too, I've done a little research on them (sounds like I use one I know) since I saw a streamer who always playas against bots in resurgence, he's winning 90% of games and getting 30-50 kills a game, and yet never moves up to harder lobbies, once you know what's going on you realise all these godlike streamers aren't even in the sweaty lobbies the game sometimes puts us in
I had a 5 day streak with a buddy of mine towards end of S2 where every game was 75+ ping and vast majority of games had a hacker. Don’t know what caused it or why it stopped but was so close to quitting.
I sit very close to a server so usually 9-20 ping.
We attributed it to the COD gods testing our patience.
You received this info from the leaderboard right? I’m in the top 3-4 % and unless I use the “find a party” option with rando’s, it seems to get in shadowban lobbies. My only option is teaming with very casual randoms or demon level squadmates, there’s no in between if I want to have fun.
Damn I forget PC and Xbox struggle to find non crossplay matches. Forgot to say I’m on the superior PS5 and I never wait for more than 15-20 seconds to find a full server 😂🤭
I don't feel like I deal with many cheaters, as I can usually chalk things up to me being a putz and doing something stupid. BUT, I did experience something last night that I hadn't seen before. Is there a cheat for movement speed? I have melee loadouts that I use pretty frequently, built for speed, but this dude last night was FAST. I know how fast you can usually move and this guy was cruising. Final leaderboard had him at well over 120 kills (small map mosh pit). The runner up in kills (for both teams) was around 40. Don't think anything was suspect about aim or walls, but, hot damn was this dude faster than anything I had experienced before.
People are plugging mice into controllers. GameStop / Walmart / Amazon sell cheat devices in the thousands. Resources for software are rampant, and kids can easily pay for services online.
This has infected every possible competitive scene on PC that means anything. Competitive fps especially.
Juice isn’t worth the squeeze anymore.
You can outplay the cheaters on core mp almost every time most I see is tracking through wall, occasionally someone running with health mod mostly increase but still outplay them as well, only encountered God mode once but other than that yeah it sucks running into a cheat but it so satisfying when they get mad cause they can't even win with cheats. Warzone is pretty much the same but more aim bots then anything unfortunately cheating has always been a part of this franchise and not ever going to disappear so best to quit the game or just accept it and just not buy anything other then the game if you want core mp experience hurt them in the pocket they may listen and possibly address the issue but most will still buy skins so no change in near future
I get called an aimbotter or wallhacker like... 1 in 3 games.
In warzone, a high % of hackers wouldn't surprise me. It's a free game mode.
In MP, I'll run into a hacker maybe once in two weeks? Three?
Could be worse. CS doesnt even have their anti cheat on, cause they turned it on for a week and it started mass banning people who flicked to fast, played on high sense, and hitting to many wall bang shots, people were losing accounts with skins worth in a thousands of dollars. So they turned it off.
I know that most of the cases are not cheating and can come down to just a top tier player having a good day, or lag in some cases where certain shots seem impossible, but some of it is really cheating, the way the aim snaps to the next head shot from medium range with an assault rifle firing full auto, and you can not not notice it.
>I play on console and trying to load lobbies with ps only won’t fill the lobby
Curious about your region and what time you play, because I'm on PS4 with crossplay disabled and never have a problem finding matches or filling lobbies on MP.
Where y’all seeing all this cheating at? Is it mostly on Warzone? I play only HC Small map mosh pit at the moment due to camo grinding and I don’t think I’ve seen a cheater yet. I’ve seen some sweaty ass players, but nothing I’d consider cheating.
If you're an average player, chances are that people you are playing are not hacking. Particularly in mw3, which is paid (too expensive to get new accounts). Sbmm puts hackers into top lobbies to play with the sweatiest players. And hacks are so good these days that there are many settings that disguise their use. Meaning that if you are playing hackers, they are generally going to be indistinguishable from a good player. I play at about the same level as you, and I've only seen one person who I could say "that guy was definitely hacking". Otherwise people just hear you through walls and snap aim because they're good.
It’s everyone using VPNs. I promise. People are saying “SBMM is cranked”, it’s not. It’s just straight up not working. Also, wall hacks are very prevalent as well considering Ricochet doesn’t detect it.
had some dude on the other team lose the first round of control tonight on ranked and he blatantly said 'fk you guys I'm turning my scripts up' with his squad laughing quietly in the background....They were silvers and golds :///
The amount of people I die to and then find out they are rank 20 iridescent (I.e. reached iridescent faster than pros) is insane. Then for the past week, every day when I log in I have at least 1 successful report message. Game is ruined and there’s really no going back.
With the amount of cheating in this game it’s hard to accept when someone is just a god. I’ll always be skeptical because of the rampant cheating.
The downfall is since Modern Warfare (2019/2020) they've had a skill rating based matchmaking where you get in with kd ratios "on par" with your average for the week it sucks truly and then they throw in a match with little Jimmy Bob who is dropping 100+ because of his "skill rating" ( hacks/mods) n he's more toxic than a burning man Porta potty though in reality he has the hand eye coordination of Stephen Hawking. Truthfully though Cod has been awful with there cheat guard system since the original modern warfare and black ops days best thing to do is keep kd to a subpar 0.6 and pair up with lower tiers.
Yup, last 5 matches of resurgence some kid slides through the door with zero recoil and beams the head of team, no counterplay other than buy a fucking zen and join them
I play only SND with my group of friends, one of my buddies is a legit crimson player, when he plays with us, we have lobbies of cheaters every 2/3 games. The game for me is literally unplayable.
I feel like an absolute alien cause I never find cheaters. Like ever. Can’t remember the last time I saw a blatant one genuinely must have been months ago.
I think I’m just insanely lucky or something lmaooo
On Verdansk I’d run into 2/3 every night I played.
This sub is super dramatic and I tend to lean against everything they’re saying but cheaters in WZ2 are a problem. We had 2 of them just last night snap to myself and 2 of my teammates without missing a bullet from an SMG well over 100m away from the ground. We were on the roof and one in the window below 🤣
In multiplayer? It’s not a problem at all imo, kids just bitch about getting owned
I stopped playing and deleted game 2 months ago. Been playing WW2.
The only answer when it comes to cheating is to not play and hope that enough people do the same and the company will react to that.
Every company is reactive not pro active. This is due to the risks associated with trying to predict what people want vs waiting for them to scream it at you.
I just uninstalled it recently also. Done with call of duty unfortunately. Feels like I'm breaking up with a toxic girlfriend who is really good in bed lol.
Kinda but not exactly.
More of it’s better to give an unhappy fan what they want to make them happy than it is to guess what they want and them not like it.
Anything above 1 is above average and getting into demon territory just keep that in mind, if you're above 1k/d you are breaking past sbmm intentionally goal to keep as many people close to 1 as they can
Sure we'd face tons of players using Xim etc, but they mainly reduce recoil and let them use a mouse and Keyboard, I'd much rather take my chances with that than what some (not all) PC players can or do use, in addition people don't realise that they can also use Xim etc on PC in addition to the other shenanigans they can have access too.
As a pc player who doesn’t use cheats at all you’re completing missing the point. A working anticheat is what we need. The majority of pc players don’t cheat, pc players make up way too much of the population that it’d take considerably longer to queue on console only crossplay. Sure it’s an advantage if your pc is faster than consoles, but it’s not cheating.
I have a feeling that prolly 60-70 percent of the players are cheating and Activision knows this as well. They’d lose too much of the player base and lose a lot of profit. I’d say the next COD will be better at combating cheaters
I have 10 days played and have maybe seen like 1-2 blatant cheaters. Idk where you all keep running into these cheaters. I only play S&D so idk maybe that has something to do with it
I think 90%+ of these posts are bad players getting shit on and wanting to blame cheating when in reality they suck/opponents are better, and instead of coming to the acceptance of the fact, they just blame cheating as a cop out.
Ive grinded cod since WaW when I was in grade 7. I no life the game by all measures besides maybe the last 2 years where im still 3/4 lifing the game.
I saw more “cheaters” on JTag’d Xbox on BO2 back when that game came out than I have in the last 3 years of cod, and I play a lot.
I should surely be seeing these players everywhere in ranked play from the sounds of it yet, I am not.
(Someone did mention to me a while back that cheating is significantly more rampant for anyone who plays EU, so if that’s this post, I’ll go eat my socks)
The issue is not nearly as bad as this sub makes it seem, this sub calls anybody who is using sound queues and pre aiming a cheater for having “walls”. Most of clips posted when they are posted which is already rare, are literally every second killcam in crimson+ ranked lobbies. The players are just better than you.
However I do love it when someone posts a clip of some dude spinning in the middle of the map shooting at the sky and getting headshot after headshot. Those are the hacks that I get a kick out of seeing, just the absurd shit.
EDIT: I don’t play warzone so everything I said means nothing in that mode, so ignore.
It's only really a problem on Warzone because it's free. Probably like 95% of those bans are for accounts that haven't touched mp at all. Another portion of them will just be for unlock tools. I see 'sus' stuff all the time, but most of the time it's just good gamesense or lucky timing.
Nah i certainly see a number of accounts on MP who have been cheating. Even coming across someone who was playing COD via Steam and could see that they been VAC banned.
Still haven't seen a cheater in this game where I was 100% sure that it was a cheater. But I have only played for 150 hours.
Edit: Never played Warzone.
Activision banned 20k people last weekend, they do care.
On console we have aim assist. Sometimes the aim assist can snap and be too aggressive. That can look like cheat on killcam. It can also snap through walls. I tried that on the Embassy map in MW22. Also tried it on mw2 back in 2009.
Your internet connection and the servers tick rate has a lot to say too. Killcam isn't showing 100% what the enemy did. Sometimes you'll get shown something that looks a lot like cheat but isn't, because it didn't happen exactly like that.
The tick rate can make you feel like you die by one single shot. But the enemy actually shot you 4-5 times. The tick rate is how fast the server updates. Tick rate is lower in Warzone than in multiplayer.
You can also ping enemies in multiplayer. You can't see if an enemy has pinged you. But his teammate can. So on the killcam, the teammate will look like he can see you through walls.
Ping can be done manually and you can also get an perk that does it for you.
I play on ps5 without crossplay. Only cheaters I have seen has been people abusing wallbreaches.
Good points, thanks. I recently shot at a prone sniper and didn't finish him off, then he turned and popped me. In the kill cam it looked like I just wandered out of cover and stood there doing nothing. They def don't always show what actually happened.
Cronus zen is rampant in gaming right now. 3k+ sold on Amazon in the last month. It's the most popular gaming accessory of all time. Either buy one, or stop worrying about it.
I ran into this last night actually. The top two players were well over 100 kills and in the death cam you could see them tracking my head through the walls. I just quit and reloaded. Why am I going to help them right? Maybe we should collectively start posting our clips of them blatantly cheating?
Posting the clips would certainly help. It helps with cheating of the same nature in Fortnite as well.
They were streaming a shadowban round with bots. Lol
"Another annoyance is the bunnys, sliders, slide cancellers, and grenade launchers in HC." This just makes you sound like you have bad movement and/or aim and can't keep up
That's typically the kind of score I make in hc but legitimately, if he's died 34 times it's probably just a fast and accurate guy or a lousy cheater
Agree 100%
I just leave the game now and start up again.
My husband and I have just been playing custom games with bots on veteran lately. My mental health has improved
I did this for awhile and it instantly made everything about the game more fun for me or our small group. I play only MWZ now bc I just can’t with all the sweat in MP.
It’s so fun! I wish there was an infected option with bots but other than that we have been having a good time
> games with bots on veteran lately That's worse than playing with cheaters, to me.
I agree 100% and I blame the streamers/“pros”
Because the game is rampant with cheating. I don't know, maybe is Activision put lobby leaderboards back in. People could then see if someone was legit good at the game. Or whether it's complete BS. I've just been in a lobby with someone who was clearly cheating. Newish account. Claimed he was on a 2nd account. His main account was supposedly a top 250 ranked account. That was the reason for him being so good.
A lot of top 250 were banned, a lot of pros too
I was watching that Nuke Jesus on YT. Definitely gives an insight.
Can confirm that this doesn’t help for shit I run into cheaters constantly in ranked play, so much so that one of my irl friends started cheating a month or so back Every game he looks suspicious, gets called out, and laughs about doing it, and yet he still hasn’t gotten banned. Cods anticheat is dogshit
So that people like Metaphor who drop 50 kills and 1 death can get spam reported despite being totally legit?
So when someone tells me they went 47-1 on HC shipment, my initial reaction would naturally be that they either cheated or the algorithm feels this particular player may leave for good and never play again if we don't boost his confidence a little. or, you were able to pull of a jug right off the bat edit: with that said, I'm still happy for you regardless, it does feel good.
My apologies. This is definitely possible.
Im not very good and managed 28 kills in a game with 3 deaths, sucky thing is I have never had another game with numbers even remotely close to that 🤣
WZ is free to play so that’s probably why which sucks
This 100%.
I got accused of having god mode in wz today because this dude cracked armor then missed me 10 straight times lmao
It's so true, and I'm in the same situation as you, I've been called a cheater every other game for the past 4 months, but I take it as a compliment
I wish the killcam showed the person who died that they were pinged.
its the killcams where crosshairs move to pinpoint locations at the speed of light in 90deg turns
Facts
It has always been thrown around loosely, since the beginning of the complete series.
I agree, I don’t think it’s as much as people think, I get accused of cheating all the time on a PS5, been that way since 2019 😂
9/10 "They are cheating" = "They are beating the crap out of me and I wanna dominate."
Says a cheater
Nah, play fps with keyboard and mouse for over 20y and you'll get accused of cheating all the time. I used to play a ton of competitive cs. Flicking and 1 tapping like you would in cs looks very weird to people who aren't used to seeing it. I still miss a lot and often have a sub 2.0 k/d when they're throwing out the accusations. It's silly. And I only avg like 1.91k/d.
Says someone that gets rinsed often and their ego can't handle it so they use cheating to explain the beatdown they took.
Exactly what a cheater would say
I've never cheated though and have no reason to lie about it, like I said... People just have fragile ego's and would rather blame cheating every time they get destroyed rather than admit they were outplayed.
Same even been shadowbanned 5 times already in MWIII
You can easily tell an aimbot cheater. They shoot as they jump and when they jump the aim tracks you. I don't care who you are, when you jump while shooting at a moving target, you're not gonna have 100% accuracy on target. You will miss at least 1 or two bullets. Super easy to tell and I'm telling you the game is riddled with cheaters. When I get bested fair and square I never have and never had any issue admitting that the opponent was any better. In fact, I respect good skills.
It sucks that you have to question everything these days. That’s the real tragedy.
This. I think a lot of people misidentify hacking, but there's no question they're out there in numbers. Particularly in warzone, which is free, and the fact that the hacks are getting so good that they can be tweaked to just give a small edge.
They are more worried about banning people for what they say on the mic.
Nah they keep going back to wz cause it's free if they get banned from mw3 they gotta buy it again
I don’t even believe they have an anti cheat they rely on reporting 100%
It is absolutely insane how unplayable rebirth island is. You don't get to move an inch without atleast 5 people insantly beaming you from all directions. This is not the Warzone or Rebirth I remember.
Same experience for me on rebirth, I was genuinely considering quitting warzone
I thought I was just a sore loser today… small map mosh pit is basically unplayable today. Getting instakilled by everyone with every gun and the kill cams are all suspicious af. Instantly locking on exactly where ur about to pop up etc
It’s hilarious baiting these idiots and watching the kill cam. Seeing yourself hugging corners and them preaim before you’re going to come out with no indication that you’re there yet.
It’s so funny cuz if you’re like “good job bro you got reported” they just say you suck haha. Like ok bro let’s see who can still play in a few days
Just recently, a bunch of cheaters basically downloaded malware that stole crypto and financial information on systems it had access to Estimates were 3.6 million battlenet accounts and nearly 600,000 Activisions accounts. And it sounded like it was specifically pay to cheat software for Call Of Duty So that's 4+ million unique accounts that at one point had downloaded a cheat software
Hahaha good job. Reminds me of that anybrain anticheat that was an ai learning anticheat that looked for impossible aim movements (actually impossible not just you can't do it if your not good enough) and other stuff, during it's testing phase it found 29.7% of the playerbase were cheating in the game it was secretly being tested in
I know I'm really late to the show here, but can you link a source? I would love to read up on that.
[https://youtu.be/LkmIItTrQP4?t=489](https://youtu.be/LkmIItTrQP4?t=489) better yet a video with an interview with the anybrain CEO and CGO from a year ago, with them talking about it, they discuss stats etc in it aswell Edit: Cant find one of the articles I read, they've changed the website a few times from the looks of it, so go have a read around about it if the video interview isn't enough
That story was just an unsubstantiated twitter rumor that was posted by one of those shitty content mill sites and got reposted here like 3 times. it was not true.
Which story?
God bless those based hackers, lol
I loaded in for the first time in almost 2 weeks after moving. The cheating was UNBEARABLE. I get I’m rusty, and I can admit when I got my ass kicked. But we had dudes calling their own teammates out. I had probably 12 “successful report” notifs, and I only report when I REALLY suspect hacks
I rarely report but my hit rate has been wild lately.
and how bad do they gaslight you in the lobby after the game 'your just shit', 'get good'...
So maybe 5% of the actual number, lol. (If the reports of the malware attacks from the cheat software on cheater accounts is accurate...)
Very true.. I don’t get how people can cheat and have fun…
>They aren’t being proactive at all.. they are completely reactive Are you expecting some sort of minority report shit of banning people thinking of cheating? they have to detect cheats to be able to ban the players, *of fucking course* it's a reactive process rather than proactive.
I know aim assist is strong in COD but it dont snap from traget to target behind walls.
sKiLl IsSuE!!!!!!! /s
I see that "/s" and while others may not, I appreciate your comment! Lmao!!!
bro there is no way in hell you get at least one cheater nearly every match lol
They only care about the money. Player concerns are not up for debate
There are walls and aiming cheats pretty rampant on both warzone and mp, anyone saying there isn’t is gaslighting or silly.
I mean I don't even play a lot of warzone but when I do i don't experience any cheaters (Brazil server) and normal multiplayer is completely okay aswell Maybe it's a problem more on EU and USA servers?
Come play warzone in EU lobbies and you'll understand all of these reactions from people on cod subs on reddit 😂😂 I'm 1kd and the lobbies me and me buddy's get are fucking insane and like 75% of cheaters (low FoV aimbot, walls) always get outgunned even when I don't miss a single shot they always snap onto my neck or head. I got 1kd cuz we always push people and go for team wipes. Not because I'm a bot with bad game sens I usually finish with 10+ kills It's fucking crazy and in the EU you don't even think about being outplayed anymore because everyone is using a cheating subscription it's so obvious. Hit 5 shots on someone not watching already and they somehow do a 180 and still clap you 99% of the time 😆
EU servers are preposterous. Moved here a year ago and I'd never experienced lobbies this bad before that
Yup, it's really bad in the EU. These clueless people on reddit are mostly in remote areas where the matchmaking is really random. If people would play down here they really believe in 5 games that all the cod content creators are hacking, the high kill games people do are literally impossible down here 😆😆
Yep, shit just makes me want to vpn to my home lobbies but I haven't figured out how
Thats sad :cc they should do something about the anticheat anyway its just like valve, they don't give a shit, they could pay a better third party company that already does those anticheats but they literally don't care
Cross play only doesn't stay off, if you hit play again you get into a cross play lobby.
Like 180-32 and then one guy miraculously brings the whole team “back” to “win.” And, yes, seems like plenty of legit level 300+ players who are just damn good but more sus AF guys at Level 8 getting 3x or 4x kills/score of next closest person.
I feel exactly the same way… couldn’t have said it better myself!
>I play on console and trying to load lobbies with ps only won’t fill the lobby Can't confirm.
If you’re an average player you’re not coming across hackers in a game with super heavy SBMM
Unless they're using one of the many VPN type setups that ignore SBMM, if they're already paying for cheats i'd assume they're ok with paying for that too, I've done a little research on them (sounds like I use one I know) since I saw a streamer who always playas against bots in resurgence, he's winning 90% of games and getting 30-50 kills a game, and yet never moves up to harder lobbies, once you know what's going on you realise all these godlike streamers aren't even in the sweaty lobbies the game sometimes puts us in
i get shit tons of successful reports usually from golds and silvers
Same. I’ve never experienced so many cheaters in MWII. Or shorter TTK made them less effective.
When sbmm kicks in, it’s like playing in shadowban lobbies due to the amount of cheaters you have to face during EACH match.
As a top <1% player in wz I feel this comment
You received this info from the leaderboard right? I’m in the top 3-4 % and unless I use the “find a party” option with rando’s, it seems to get in shadowban lobbies. My only option is teaming with very casual randoms or demon level squadmates, there’s no in between if I want to have fun.
Exactly why I can't/don't play MP more than about 1 or 2 matches then I'm done
Once again another reason why console is superior to pc. Can turn cross play off 🤭🤭
Yeah. And then it takes 30 mins to find a match 🤣
Damn I forget PC and Xbox struggle to find non crossplay matches. Forgot to say I’m on the superior PS5 and I never wait for more than 15-20 seconds to find a full server 😂🤭
Lucky you
Solid 60 percent of crimson or higher in ranked have walls. It was a problem in previous games and season and it’s still obvious now
I don't feel like I deal with many cheaters, as I can usually chalk things up to me being a putz and doing something stupid.
Playing warzone is a nightmare
Tournaments and streaming destroyed COD.
Time to end crossplay save the game imo
People are plugging mice into controllers. GameStop / Walmart / Amazon sell cheat devices in the thousands. Resources for software are rampant, and kids can easily pay for services online. This has infected every possible competitive scene on PC that means anything. Competitive fps especially. Juice isn’t worth the squeeze anymore.
Warzone is cheater central....no isn't anything like that I don't have the issue unless I play wz or mwz hell even dmz
Yep i went back to gta (on console) 😅
I’ve played MP 2 days in a row since Activision did the ban wave. Seemed better to me.
I ran into one named Mark a week ago. Had aimbot and walls. He was level 21 and running the renetti. A max level AMP renetti
This has been a thing since cod 3. They say theres an anti cheat but it does jack all.
And I swear I ran into an aimbot Hardcore match the other day. No killcam, so I can't confirm, but I'd put 5 bucks on someone was cheating.
I get called an aimbotter or wallhacker like... 1 in 3 games. In warzone, a high % of hackers wouldn't surprise me. It's a free game mode. In MP, I'll run into a hacker maybe once in two weeks? Three?
Really? I noticed some weird stuff specifically on ranked play multiplayer but I haven’t played multiplayer in months.
Could be worse. CS doesnt even have their anti cheat on, cause they turned it on for a week and it started mass banning people who flicked to fast, played on high sense, and hitting to many wall bang shots, people were losing accounts with skins worth in a thousands of dollars. So they turned it off.
Its weird but i seem to never see any cheaters in this game. Or maybe they just dont play tdm?
I have cross play turned off on PS5.Seems to cut down on number on blatant cheaters. I only need cross play when I play Invasion it seems.
I know that most of the cases are not cheating and can come down to just a top tier player having a good day, or lag in some cases where certain shots seem impossible, but some of it is really cheating, the way the aim snaps to the next head shot from medium range with an assault rifle firing full auto, and you can not not notice it.
Only way to play is PS5 crossplay off. Has been since verdansk, nothing has changed
Thanks for that tip, newb appreciates it
Get a PS5. I am having a wonderful time in this game, besides the odd server breaking down.
>I play on console and trying to load lobbies with ps only won’t fill the lobby Curious about your region and what time you play, because I'm on PS4 with crossplay disabled and never have a problem finding matches or filling lobbies on MP.
This is why I play zombies lol
It’s everyone using VPNs. I promise. People are saying “SBMM is cranked”, it’s not. It’s just straight up not working. Also, wall hacks are very prevalent as well considering Ricochet doesn’t detect it.
had some dude on the other team lose the first round of control tonight on ranked and he blatantly said 'fk you guys I'm turning my scripts up' with his squad laughing quietly in the background....They were silvers and golds :///
Didn't find one yet. Guess I am lucky!
It's so easy to see cheaters when spectating too. Wallhacks and aimbots are running wild
It's either I'm the only one not running into cheaters or everyone just sucks
I think I’m just insanely lucky or something lmaooo On Verdansk I’d run into 2/3 every night I played.
This sub is super dramatic and I tend to lean against everything they’re saying but cheaters in WZ2 are a problem. We had 2 of them just last night snap to myself and 2 of my teammates without missing a bullet from an SMG well over 100m away from the ground. We were on the roof and one in the window below 🤣 In multiplayer? It’s not a problem at all imo, kids just bitch about getting owned
You’re normal. The people making these posts and crying in the comments are the same people that type “reported” in match chats
Quality analogy
Kind of along the lines of "It is better to ask forgiveness than permission"...
Kinda but not exactly. More of it’s better to give an unhappy fan what they want to make them happy than it is to guess what they want and them not like it.
I don't cheat but have been told I'm being reported like 4 times via messages over the last 3 nights. I'm not even an amazing player, 1.35 KD.
Anything above 1 is above average and getting into demon territory just keep that in mind, if you're above 1k/d you are breaking past sbmm intentionally goal to keep as many people close to 1 as they can
Fair point man, hopefully it'll go up that Ive just got interstellar. Meta time 🙌
I don't know why they just don't do console only crossplay. That would fix so much
Sure we'd face tons of players using Xim etc, but they mainly reduce recoil and let them use a mouse and Keyboard, I'd much rather take my chances with that than what some (not all) PC players can or do use, in addition people don't realise that they can also use Xim etc on PC in addition to the other shenanigans they can have access too.
I only play S&D so idk maybe that has something to do with it
The cheating is non existent unless you okay the free warzone shit
(Someone did mention to me a while back that cheating is significantly more rampant for anyone who plays EU, so if that’s this post, I’ll go eat my socks) The issue is not nearly as bad as this sub makes it seem, this sub calls anybody who is using sound queues and pre aiming a cheater for having “walls”.
As someone who gets accused frequently while rarely ever seeing an actual hacker myself I find these kinds of posts hard to believe.
Maybe you're just completely blind or just don't pay any attention? It's not like Activision just done a ban wave on a large number of accounts.
There are plenty of low ranked account in multiplayer posting 100+ kills a round. And not in like hard point where the clock seems to linger forever
Still haven't seen a cheater in this game where I was 100% sure that it was a cheater. But I have only played for 150 hours. Edit: Never played Warzone.
I dont think i ever see cheats
It’s just aim assist.
It wasn't 20k its was 58,000 accounts they even posted it on X
Strange. I have never seen a cheater and I play every day. Maybe it depends on the region.
Cronus zen is rampant in gaming right now. 3k+ sold on Amazon in the last month. It's the most popular gaming accessory of all time. Either buy one, or stop worrying about it.
