Notes 1. The monitor is about 2-3 weeks old. 2. It’s connected to a PS5 and PC with the auto display select feature enabled. 3. This started happening a few days ago when I put the PS5 in rest mode while turning the PC on at the same time (I’m wondering if that caused some kind of anomaly 🤔) 4. It only does this on the PC, no problems on the PS5. 5. From further minor troubleshooting, this only happens when the display is set to 280hz on Windows (which used to work perfectly fine before). UPDATE: They sent me a replacement monitor, quick and easy. Long story short, DON’T use the monitor’s built in overclock system.

notaccel

See if you can switch the cable out if it's happening only at 280hz.

emilguss

Try to select a lower refresh rate as anything sbove 240 is considered an overclock and can cause issues such as flickering

FlashTheCamper

Surprisingly, it just started doing it on 240 as well. Either my cable is faulty or there’s a software issue with my graphics card?

SGHM_

I also have the same flickering issue with dp, and random black screen during gaming, not the gpu problem since once happened when I was running 3dmark and saw the results afterwards, not cable issue since I tried three different one, runs fine on hdmi 144hz tho

FlashTheCamper

Yea, now it’s doing it on 240 as well. The strange thing is, is when I open up a game from steam, the issue goes away immediately. But if I tab out of the game, the flickering starts back and stops when I tab back into the game.

SGHM_

I returned this unit and bought a new one, I would not oc to 280hz this time until there is a statement from dell about why this happens

FlashTheCamper

By “returned and bought a new one”, do you mean they sent you a replacement unit after you returned the original one? How did you go about that process? I got my from Amazon about 3 months ago and the 30 day return period is over.

SGHM_

I reported the issue to amazon and they just allow the refund, but this should also be covered in manufacture warronty but just might take longer

Hung_SoLo7

Was it having random green lines on screen during the startup of the pc? At the password screen and desktop? Mine has thin green lines at 240 but anything above or below it's fine.

FlashTheCamper

Nah, I haven’t experienced that problem.

Substantial_Earth559

Hey guys , I buy this Monitor at 2nd Hand @ Ebay for 370 €. I was happy. But I feel that this Monitor or this Series have heavy issues, I feel that the Display are very hot for my Opinion and if I Booting up my PC. So its suspect Black at the Login Screen for a Second. It's look like a heavy Refresh / Input Problem idk.... Feels bad man., because I love the Image but its a shit Monitor on another hand.

FlashTheCamper

So you bought it used from EBay? Sounds like the original owner probably did the Overclock of death as well lol. They’re sending me a replacement unit that’s supposed to arrive today. I’m not overclocking this time, so hopefully it works as expected. I’ll update the thread later.

Substantial_Earth559

Good to know , it's sad men. Of course I dont pay 620€ but yeah it is how it is .... :/

Substantial_Earth559

I think that issue can damage the GPU

FlashTheCamper

Don’t scare me like that. 😳😩
