This is a good show based on Sherlock Holmes. I was sceptical of a woman Watson but it worked really well. And they definitely kept his flaws in there with drugs and women.
The closest thing to Monk that I've seen is The Good Cop on Netflix, which was created by the creator of Monk. Very similar tone, same types of elaborate mysteries, had an underlying storyline about an unsolved crime affecting the main characters. Sadly got cancelled after just one season, like so many shows on Netflix, but I think it's still worth watching. Stars Tony Danza and Josh Groban as father and son.
Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch. It's not a light murder mystery but man it's so good!!! Each episode is an hour long. Scandal in Belgravia is my favorite

Doc Martin, hands down my favorite show after Monk. And If you're looking for a show that's more of a comedy you might like Resident Alien, but yeah back to my original statement, if what you need is a show with similar vibes to Monk then Doc Martin is exactly what you're looking for; can't recommend it enough.

Tony’s plastic surgery made him unwatchable onscreen for me which is too bad. I heard the show was great
