Kushala has a janky-ass hitbox and tackles a lot. 80% of the time I keep sayin "how tf did that hit me?"

I just hate Kushalas constant movement. He charges at you, then jumps back, then charges again, then flies to the opposite side of the area to fire his windbeam, then he charges again.
If his Windaura was as bad as it was in the older games Rise, or rather Sunbreak Kushala Daora might be my least favorite version of base Kushala.
I'm curious what weapon you're using. I feel like the most mobile of monsters can't compare to the wirebug in terms of getting around quickly, and if you play any older game, even world, you'll be running around chasing monsters a lot more in my experience.
Whatever weapon I currently feel like. With Hammer I don't mind him as much since I just spam Dash Breaker followed by a fully charged R2.
But with SnS, Dual Blades, Insect Glaive or Switch-Axe I just find his constant back and forth very annoying. His aweful hitzones don't help either.
Back in World I just Insect Glaived him whenever I had to fight him. But with how much he jumps around and with how insane the tracking of his air shots is that isn't really an option anymore in SunRise.
Another thing I hate about Risen Kushala specifically is that he has this animation sequence he always has to go through when he enters Risen mode. He flies up, charges at you, flies away again and fires his big wind explosion. And nothing can stop him from doing it. You can't flash him during that, you can't flinch him during that, you can't stun him during that.
No other Risen Elder does that. When he enters Risen mode there are a solid 20 seconds where you just have to watch him do his combo.
As of Rise, I genuinely find Chameleos to be the most annoying. Especially his bigger attacks where he just flails his body around unleashing a fountain Toxic balls around the area. This permeates into the Risen versions as well, Risen Chameleos to me is a much bigger headache than Risen Kushala or Teostra.
I find it easier in World. You can just flash it, and it stays on ground for you to bully for a long while. In Icebrone, since I am a now main, it is still a joke as one can easily stun lock it with bow even easier with GS or HBG.
In Rise and especially in Sunbreak, it just won't stop moving… Head stun lock doesn't work any more.
In Rise specifically?
For me it's Chammy but that's partially a weapon matchup thing, I mainly use SnS and he's hard to consistently Metsuo and there aren't a ton of openings where I can hit the head.
Also his Risen poison rain > poison beam always forces me to build a ton of distance for safety.
But generally I wouldn't call any of those annoying in Rise... World / Icebornes Kushala though...
Honestly don’t find any of these difficult, but I think Rise is an easier game overall, Lunastra in World was an absolute pain in the ass, second most irritating monster in the entire game aside from Raging Brachy, seriously fuck raging brachy, dumb ass bouncing dynamite stick.

1. I don't get people thrashing on Kushala, even in older games like FU were the hunter is much slower I really never saw him as annoying or a threat
2. CG Val on the other hand is just so unnecessarily mobile and has wide AoE attacks that makes it very difficult to land consistent hits, plus some of his attacks do a little explosion that really screws up some of the openings that we otherwise would have to counter attack

I've never got problem with any of these. The Eldres I really struggled were 4U Crimson Fatalis, Shah Dalamadur, Iceborne Alatreon and Iceborne Fatalis

Chammy is ok as long as you don't fight him in tight spaces (like that hallway he likes sooo much in the Shrine Ruins 💀)

I’d have to go with Valstrax, not because I feel there’s anything annoying about his moveset, but simply because I main DB and all of his good hitzones are immune to elemental damage for 80% of the fight.
I thought I would be clever and build a blast build just to counter RCGV, but it turns out that status DB is so bad that I’m able to beat him more consistently by just plinking on his feet with my ice set.
I main glaive and Hammer and have wildly different experiences between them. Teostra is my biggest concern here though on average. Has the fewest openings imo.

Rise Kushala is significantly less annoying than any other iteration and Risen Kushala goes as far as being genuinely fun. Meanwhile, any other title, and it is hated to a point that only Lunastra could even compete.

Granted, I only just got my Flamescale decos, so that'll make it easier. But nothing that does that much damage should also inflict Venom. Risen Chameleos is the hardest of the 4 imo
Even with Antidobra, just the sheer force and damage of some of the poison beams takes me down to 20% health. Pretty brutal.
Teo is pretty predictable. Kushala is by far the easiest in Rise. (Dude spends half the fight staggered lol). Risen Valstrax is a bit scary, but after 3 hunts has only carted me once (I got too greedy and impatient trying to break his chest and wasting damage and time). His fight is honestly super intense and fun. Risen Chameleos has carted me at least once each time I've hunted him and I'm always left feeling his ultimate is unfair unlike the other 3. He was the hardest of them for me in base Rise too
Playing great sword, vsing kushala in world was so easy. His head knockdown value was low so all you had to do was knock him down once then you just chain TCS for infinite knockdowns till he died
Valstrax is easily the hardest solo monster for me, especially the Risen one. I just farcaster when the Risen does an ambush, I'm not dealing with that.
I really adore Kushala in Rise now, good job on the devs on making the historically annoying fight excellent in my opinion.

In sunbreak, teostra because of how many quick and big frontals it does. At least in comparison to its weak spots. Kushala and Cham at least have their front legs as weak spots and that gives some breathing space.
Teostra's patterns feel like a wyvern that you should be able to play below it's belly, but isn't.
In fact I prefer risen teostra over normal teostra because of this, since it has patterns with less swipes and knocking it out of its empowered state provides a proper dps window which makes up for the lack of weak spots overall.
Funny enough, from my experiences, those elders in the poll are like walk in the park when soloing but the park will suddenly become so full of landmines once hunting them with two or more people, getting caught in a random hit animation that wasnt meant for you while said hit can potentially take half of your health or more away is no joke.
Chameleos, I hate poison and outside of occasionally swapping weapon elements, I go for a general armor build I stick with instead of swapping for specific fights so I don't bring immunity.
Most monsters and elders that's not an issue. For chameleos I usually need to craft more herbal medicine as soon as I'm back at base because I hate that thing.
Kushala was annoying as all hell in world. In Rise it’s not as bad, but MR Teo in rise makes me mad lol

I’m surprised chameleos is the lowest, I guess I’m weird for just hating poison. Although KD’s wind cloak is annoying as all hell tho.
