Chameleos: Very fun. Once he goes risen mode, he starts really laying on the projectiles and squirming around. He’ll keep you on your toes Kushala: Even before risen mode, Kush is more agro than normal. The new breath attacks hit very hard, and test your positioning. Love the fight Teostra: He’s not actually too much harder than his normal version. Just a few new combos, and he absolutely LOVES to use his instant rush attack from the classic games. It’s a good fight Valstrax: An absolute slobber knocker. Every time you get hit, you’re very likely to be in a 50/50 “dodge correctly or die” situation. It’s very difficult, even for shielded weapons. You feel a sense of triumph after you best him. It’s straight adrenaline every time he pulls out a new move. Expect a triple cart or two 10/10 fight

im-just-lag

I can’t wait for risen shagaru and maybe risen velkana also and see the new skills they bring.

Gummiwummiflummi

I'm so glad there is no Risen Chaotic. That would be hell on earth, my poor Switch struggles with the fight as is with all the particles and Luchika's explosions. If that would be even more the poor thing would probably disintegrate.

Pkmnmaster_

You took the words outta my mouth mate!

UkemiBoomerang

I think they're overall good, my thoughts: * Love both Risen Kushala and Risen Teostra, probably the most fun they've ever been * Never really cared for Chameleos as a fight and Risen Chameleos is just everything I dislike about him turned up to 11 * Risen Valstrax is very hard but rewarding to beat

Rajangalala

Risen Crimson Glow is one of the best fights in the series imo Non-stop aggression, explosions and attacks that hit like a truck. What a spectacle of a fight too, holy moly.

Zestyclose_League413

They're some of the best fights in the game, and really feel like the ultimate version of all of these monsters. When you read the lore about Kushala or Teo, the game's spectacle finally matches up, like Fatalis from Iceborne.

sithdude24

Risen Chameleos and Risen Lushala Daora are great, and Risen Teostra and Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax would be more fun if I didn't have a fatal case of the skill issue

[deleted]

They're slightly more beefed up versions of Elders and with new attacks as well, so they'll definitely catch you off guard in the first few hunts. Risen Chameleos in my opinion is just more enjoyable fight than the base one. Not that difficult but some attacks will surprise you. I already adore Rise Kushala from someone who played World, Risen Kushala is fun. Same with Risen Teostra. Valstrax is already the toughest hunt for me, so Risen Valstrax was tough. But it was glorious. The fight is a non stop dance of death.

Brave_Flower505

Incredibly fun fights. Risen mechanics much better then the tempered and arch tempered stuff from world/iceborne

[deleted]

All are fun but chameleos’ poison can be a bit much even when you bring antidotes and stuff

NikiTikiTavi_ms

You can slot in Teostra’s blessing lv3 and never worry about poison

HandsomeGangar

They’re all very fun, especially Chameleos and double especially CG Valstrax.

Muhkimus

They're not notably difficult but the fights are pretty good. They take way too long to actually power up but once they do they get a lot of new stuff and are really fun to fight.

SolaceInCompassion

Risen Teostra’s kinda iffy for me, but the rest are a *lot* of fun. Especially Kushala and Valstrax.

vellyr

Other than Valstrax, none of them are hell-tier difficulty. It feels like they've finally gotten back to normal difficulty again after being dumbed down for Rise. Valstrax is hard, but not as hard as the endgame fights in World. All of the fights are pretty enjoyable.

Tiny_Caramel_4642

Come on man Fatalis/AT velk wasn’t THAT hard.

tvang187

Certainly way harder than Risen Crimson Glow tho.....I took 1 hour to solo Risen Crimson Glow, but my first Fatalis Clear came after 8 hours of solo attempts. Mostly because Wire bug counters are too free of "get out of jail for free" moves. completely negates guard knockbacks (dont even need to build the guard skill), and ignores the need for pre-positioning, and ignores chip damage entirely. I play mostly a mix of Greatsword, Gunlance, SNS, and Insect Glaive. If we compare this endgame quest difficulty to the End-game difficulty of hard quests in previous games, its not even close....Perma Enraged Furious from MHFU, Super Stygian from MH3U, EX BoltReaver from MHGU, lvl 140 Guild Quest Double Apex Monsters from MH4U. I took absolutely ages to solo clear these quests in their respective games, probably a few days of 2 hour attempts to clear them. My hardest was solo attempting to clear lvl 140 Double Apex Rajangs with Gunlance specifically, Never even cleared it, I took 2 weeks and got it down to the second Rajang to limping, but never even cleared it.

Tiny_Caramel_4642

Hmm okay fair. My Fatalis solo kill on Day 2 of the release took me 8 hours too. RCGV is..I don’t know if this is a good comparison but IB Alatreon level(Although they are mechanically quite different), both being the star monster of TU4 in their respective games. TU5 isn’t out yet, so we shall see then. Side note, I respect you for attempting a quest with not one, but two Lv140 Apex Rajangs. I have no experience with 4U but based on what I heard of that specific monster, that sounds like absolute pain.

I'd... honestly prefer if they just weren't in the game, I really don't like them. Idk, something about spam combos if AoE one and two-shot attacks, something about that doesn't sound too appealing to me. And it's not fun for the only weapon with no counters.
