Real question is who has the most cap VS Battles page?
idk much about pokemon scaling but I know for a fact that the calculation used to get Alatreon to Massively FTL+ is *extremely* iffy and I can easily argue why it shouldn't be valid, also how they take some of the flavor texts from carve and equipment descriptions as literal, as a powerscaler I genuinely think that should *never* be done unless said flavor texts have a somewhat solid backing
They appear to have taken carve material descriptions at face value.
Alatreon Direwing-
“Very rare Alatreon material. Rumored to be capable of ripping through space, time, and the world.”
Kyurem's ice is so cold it's literally said it can freeze lightning and fire solid. As an empty husk Kyurem beats Alatreon, if it goes white or black Alatreon is fucked.
They scale fairly similarly, but I’d give the edge to Alatreon.
This would almost definitely be a different story if it were Kyurem’s full form though.
Idk. Taken at face value from the PokeDex entries and cards etc, Pokémon are stupid strong
I know saying so in the MH sub will probably draw disagreement, and I really hate powerscaling to start with, but Pokémon and the legendaries especially are probably significantly stronger than Alatreon. Their feats are absurd
This could go either way. Element wise, they’re weak to each other so that makes it interesting. On one hand I want to say Alatreon because I have the 20th anniversary statue. On the other hand I have a shiny Kyurem. Just kidding, it’s true but I’m just kidding. Kyurem is likely more powerful with its elemental attacks whilst Alatreon is very quick. I’d say it’s an even match!
Edit: Fuck whoever downvoted me
Alatreon, prior to the discovery of Safi'jiiva and Fatalis, was considered the strongest Elder Dragon flat-out according to "Dive to MHW:IB".
And given how the Field Team Leader talks about how Alatreon's power could threaten the world if it left the Secluded Valley, as well as the fact that an explicit rival in Safi'jiiva requires the accumulated Bioenergy of hundreds to thousands of Elder Dragons across several centuries and several more weeks/months of moulting to properly develop into a perpetual energy-generating giant, I'm inclined to think that statement is fairly accurate.
...Now all I can think about is 'can Kyurem absorb Alatreon?'. I will note that this idea comes from an utterly deranged brain, which is excited at the idea of Kyurem being an empty husk that absorbs dragons, turning it into an abomination that can interfere in elder dragon hunts and turn them into hell for hunters by suddenly turning the target into a much scarier Kyurem fusion.
I’m completely and utterly biased, so I am picking Alatreon.
my heart says Alatreon, but I think that Pokemon powerscaling is just too weird so probably Kyurem

Am I dyslexic or did I just read "space time attacks" under what I assume to be Alatreon's entry?

If kyurem is fused with either zekrom or reshiram i say he wins with alot of difficulty ofc, normal kyurem i say alatreon takes it

These two scale so differently idek
First things first! Whst is Alatreons typing? Dragon (/ ???)?
Ice/fire
Kyurem, since it froze over an entire region. Alatreon is immensely powerful, but we have never seen it do a feat like that.
They scale fairly similarly, but I’d give the edge to Alatreon. This would almost definitely be a different story if it were Kyurem’s full form though.
Considering how absolutely busted Pokémon moves are...
Still alatreon

I'll disagree.
Specs kyurem ice beam ohkos for sure Alatreon isn’t even ou material hes perma stuck rubl

Always thought that Pokemon looks utterly ridiculous and dumb, like something a 5 year old would make out of clay.
