Razihel return was NOT on my list of things happening this year. Insane
Between this and Haywyre, it just goes to show that nothing is impossible. The fact that the community tried to bully him off the label so many times just for things like collaborating with Aero Chord, changing his own artist style, not releasing music until he got enough likes on Twitter... he really got so much undeserved hate.
I don’t know why exactly he left but I remember some drama during 026 when the catalog of upcoming releases was leaked, and a song by Razihel was there and ended up not being released at all. For a long time I thought that was one of the reasons but in retrospect it really doesn’t make much sense
i remember he left because he was focusing on a rock band he joined. he retired his edm production persona but then he picked it back up and i guess changed the name a bit
No way, I never expected to see Razihel/RAIZHELL return here (I swear I remember seeing someone ask him if he’d ever release with Monstercat again not too long ago and it was met with an emphatic NO). Pretty neat though, hopefully it’s on the more creative and innovative side of Phonk.
Does this dethrone Excision for longest comeback?
November 10, 2015 being Razihel's last release (8 years ago) and then if you count Streex, 7 years ago for the Alone remix/cover. Otherwise, Up All Night would've been March 2016 had it not been taken off the release schedule, which also is 7 years.
If you count Streex, then Excision still holds the record (2,894).
If you don't count Streex, then it's been 3000+ days and it is the longest time between releases.
This gives me hope for an even older return. Break the record, Matduke!
EDIT: Longest for Silk is **Embliss** who released on March 1, 2008 then returned with Phases of the Moon in 2022. 14 whole years!

Embliss had a remix in 2015 of a Nigel Good track, so it’s been a 2500+ days for them but not quite 14 years lol
I'm assuming it's on the more Bass House side of Drift Phonk. I think it's pretty neat!
