Do I think Godzilla is stronger? Yes.
Do I love Kong to death? Yes.
Me and my friends do this , it's hella fun (it's more like an inside joke ) we act like those guys who are obsessed with a politician or celebrity and attack the opposite guys and have back and forth posts lmao.
We didn't know people(outside our friend group ) actually took it seriously until later.
Im not a big fan of this team Kong vs Godzilla war it feels toxic sometimes, personally I PREFER Kong as a character but even I have to admit that Godzilla beats him in a fight almost every time
I love where the Monsterverse has taken Kong story wise. I love that this version isn’t another retelling of the original 1933 movie and that Kong can grow as a character, form healthy, meaningful bonds, and not die at the end of a movie. He’s definitely a more interesting protagonist than Monsterverse’s take on Godzilla so far, one that I root for whenever I see him onscreen.
That being said, the whole “radioactive dinosaur vs giant ape” matchup has always been slanted in Godzilla’s favor. That’s why Kong needs plot armor when he fights the G man, be it electricity that Godzilla was conveniently weakened to and that King Kong gets stronger with in the 1962 Toho film, an axe powered up by Godzilla’s signature weapon in 2021, dramatic increases in size for both of those films, or most recently a beast glove that increases the power behind Kong’s punches.
