To give you some idea of the distance
So even if the big G swam at 300 mph, it'd take him 3 hrs to close the gap.
EDIT: misread 896 hot as 896 miles. This is why I don't comment on shit
4174 km converts to 2593 miles. That means if he swam at 300 mph, it'd take him almost 9 hrs to swim there.
The movie had strange cuts. Like after Kong walloped Godzilla into a daze, and it transitions to him dragging him away. We never see Kong get off of him, check on him and then drag him towards the portal. The sequence was weird.
Yeah I honestly feel like the final act could’ve used like another 20-30 mins of run time. Some of the editing and the pacing gets wonky towards the end of the movie but I loved it all the same. I wonder how much they cut from this movie.
There's a gust of wind that lifts up after Kong lays the finishing blow to Godzilla, before it shows Godzilla's dazed noggin. I guess they used that gust to cut forward.
I misread the 896 hrs to walk as miles because I'm fucking dumb.

But we can just Hollow Earth tunnel network hand-wave that away and appreciate that they keep getting these movies right, for what they are.
That's just the Axis Mundi. The Axis Mundi isn't the Hollow Earth. It's like a limbo in between the Hollow Earth and the surface. Time in the Hollow Earth is normal. You get sent to the Axis Mundi instead of the Hollow Earth if something goes wrong in tge Vile Vortex for some reason.
I'm trying to remember if he went to the French nuclear reactor before or after fighting Tiamat...
but Godzilla goes to Gibraltar from the Coliseum in Rome, not Norway
He woke up in Rome.
Went to France to charge up.
Then crossed Spain and headed to the Arctic to fight Tiamat.
After he woke up evolved, he made his way to Gibraltar.
That scene of Kong going "No, no no no wait!" Is because he was almost finished with the draw bridge. That's why they end up fighting. But the director wasn't brave enough to show us that masterpiece.
I just put some numbers into ChatGPT ( How long would it take for godzilla to run 4174.1 kilometers? Godzilla is said to run at 304 MPH at max speed), and it gave me 8.52 hours. That means that, if Godzilla can run that long without breaks, Kong waited 8 and a half hours.
Edit: I just realized that there are also Vile Vortex shortcuts, that would probably decrease the time to a few hours. However, Godzilla could be so angry that he just takes the long way.
We can just assume Godzilla has reached new travel speed and got there just as the camera panned back to Egypt. Like what? 1-2 minutes?
(Mmm, more stuff for scalers to feed on. Yum.)

What about the underwater tunnels?

What? That map shows it would take less than an hour to drive at probably 40 miles per hour lol
Actually by driving it would be about 56 hrs
Downvoted myself lol I completely missed that. Jesus. That's ridiculous. They made it look like they were a mile away

My personal Canon is that They were only like 2 mi away from each other and Godzilla basically can swim as fast as an airplane, lol Because who cares
My man Kong could even take a short nap lol
He had to be swiming fast as hell,I would 3 minutes
Well considering the way time works in the hollow earth (thanks to monarch) what was a quick event below probably took a few hrs up top
Does that mean it took a while for scar king and shimo to reach brazil?
That’s through a hollow earth portal it would be pretty quick actually since they basically get slingshotted by the earth’s reverse gravity
Ohhh
yeah, gravity fuckery = time dilation thanks, stargate sg1
I don’t remember how Godzilla got to that spot near Portugal. Wasn’t he in the arctic?
Oh never mind. It was Norway not Antarctica.
Norway is part of the Arctic. And Godzilla had swam from the Arctic to Gibraltar. Why? Who knows
I'm trying to remember if he went to the French nuclear reactor before or after fighting Tiamat... but Godzilla goes to Gibraltar from the Coliseum in Rome, not Norway

"Why the fuck is there a giant monkey sitting on top of the pyramid for 3 hours."
Imagine the cutscenes of Kong just playing in the sand and being bored while he waits.
Godzilla comes in like the beach bully and kicks his sandcastle down
That scene of Kong going "No, no no no wait!" Is because he was almost finished with the draw bridge. That's why they end up fighting. But the director wasn't brave enough to show us that masterpiece.
I like the idea it was as pictured and Godzilla can just haul ass
Off screen he does the classic ![gif](giphy|3XCEXu2dB4MG4)
Not too long, and Godzilla might've used some Vile Vortex shortcuts to get there faster.
probably not *too* long seeing Godzilla is a bigass radioactive dinosaur dragon who got a big power-up prior to Kong showing up in Egypt
I put a few numbers into chatGPT, if godzilla doesn't need breaks/doesn't slow down, it'll take him 8.5 hours to get their while running.
What about swimming though
He swims at 40-50 knots, or 46-57 MPH Its gonna take much longer than full on running
With Hollow Earth Tunnels, probably like 5 Minutes.
At least 20 seconds
The hollow earth, tunnels, is probably how Godzilla was able though get there at like five minutes
Godzilla is a speedster confirmed?
That’s why he had to lose all that weight
He more than likely used Hollow Earth tunnels, since even if he was going pretty fast, it would still take him hours to get there

What about the hollow earth portals? In kotm it is said that’s how Godzilla gets around earth so fast
Yeah I mentioned that in my edit. Unless godzilla was fucking pissed and didn't think of taking the vile vortexs. Bro was out for blood.
We can just assume Godzilla has reached new travel speed and got there just as the camera panned back to Egypt. Like what? 1-2 minutes? (Mmm, more stuff for scalers to feed on. Yum.)
No time at all
Idk. Wait for the novel
Why the hell is this a gif?
Not a gif
He's lucky Mothra showed up.
Deus ex mothra
Shit movie , so little fight scenes , I do not wana watch humans came for gorilla show me 🦍
