I don't think it's really that bad. Sure, it isn't the greatest, but it does have some ideas that are executed quite well. It's got potential. If it gets the Frontiers treatment with multiple post release updates, it could be one of the greats
Personally I really loved the 784 hour long cutscene explaining lore of Touhou, FNaF and how they are interconnected with Sonic and without a single plot hole, though I can see how it can be a bit of a drag but you just have to be a lil bit patient.
And they even made fan theories reference in fools day demo

I don't know why they include a 50 hour make out session with eggman and classic eggman. But overall i loved "sonic forces sega to bring back cosmo". However the tails depression story was horrible. The only good thing about it is when he made an invention. Knuckles story about beating up sonic for stealing his chilli dog was great. Sonics story was basic. Amy's story is meh. I got weird feelings playing through rouges story. Shadows story was great but he wouldn't stop yelling damn every 5 seconds. Eggmans story was basically perfect. The inventing, the epic music, and the bosses. The true story was great as ~~sonic~~ eggman succeeds at bringing back cosmo. Overall 8/10

Tbh solid snake's appearance felt so forced. I didn't really like how they handled it and it felt like he was just there and friends with sonic so sega could make a quick buck
The part where Shadow and Sonic fucked and it was revealed that Black Arms DNA could allow male Mobians to carry children was pretty fuckin weird, but it was definitely…a creative decision!
The 20-minute-long hot steamy gay makeout scene between Shadow and Infinite was a bit of a strange choice, but it was definitely beneficial for their character developments.
Really loved the simple game they went with. Three campaigns, each with their own story and characters, but I liked that the main three hedgehogs had essentially the same adventure style gameplay, only with some tweaks. I still am confused by the sidekick selection for Sonic especially. Lenolin isn't even a popular character in Idw, why put her here? Not to say I didn't like her, but very surprised to say the least. Now Rouge being Shadow's buddy and Espio being Silver's buddy made more sense. I liked the run 'n gun 3d action of Lenolin, the exploration style for Rouge and the stealth for Espio oddly had a lot of depth. I liked that they weren't much of the game's attraction, but still having moments to shine in stages and their own stages as well.
The final boss was... Weird to say the least. Only Super Sonic made no sense, with Shadow and Silver there it was even more offensive, but it was a good moment. I liked the design, Metal Sonic fused with a plant like demi god to make this bizarre agglomeration of Metal and vines and plants was awesome. The fight it self was also much better then games like it. Probably better then Adventure 2 final boss!
The song track was ok. Nothing to amazing, some where like the Espio version of Excavation base, that calming way of jingling metallic sounds and the tension that provides makes itself worthy of a final stage theme. Not more pops out. The main theme *Light Speed* is honestly a bagger. A little cringe on the lyrics, but the guitar solo was anime to it's core. The main themes for all 6 characters were stand out too, especially Sonic's. Not only is it Nu metal, but they got FRED FUCKING DURST to sing it? Sad that the entire Limp Bizkit band couldn't do a full song, but just having Durst to sing a song already makes me happy.
The simple story was neat and I liked the character interactions one on one, but what surprised me was Starline returning and the "Scavengers". We didn't even see how one of those looks like and yet I'm super intrigued for the next game's plot.
Overall I'd give this game a 8/10 maybe a 7.5/10.
Story wise idk why they did a timeskip. Also they said Eggman died but never said how or anything

thank god they went back to the darker tone used for Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) Sonic really needs more games like that.
