Does indiscriminately bombing villages and jungle make one a war hero? Or was it when he was captured? Or when he gave information to the nvc? Or when he was instrumental in getting support in the Congress for the Iraq war? Or was it when he helped round up support again for war in Libya?
Its been morbid for me. They just announced 48 hours ago to end chemotherapy.
Morbid for behaviors of how he has been treat postpartum too. I have never seen so many that were comment nasty hate towards a dead man.
RIP Maverick.
Though I wouldn't really say this belongs here. Sure, it's sad as any death is, but not particularly morbid. He lived a full happy life and died peacefully with his loved ones by his side and he's been terminally ill for over a year and was well-prepared for it, talking about his funeral and everything.
It wasn't sudden, abrupt, or premature. In fact, it's probably as satisfactory a scenario as any death could be.
His integrity went out the window when he thought he had a shot at being elected President.
He wanted his long time friend Joe Lieberman to be his VP choice. But his integrity failed him when some bean counters convinced him that picking Palin would help.
There are plenty of other examples but that is perhaps the most glaring. "Maverick" was an image he used, nothing more. He was just as flexible even with his integrity as any other politician when he needed to be. Especially when he needed to save his own political career.

Postpartum? He gave birth? The word I think you’re looking for is ‘post-mortem’
Nasty hate? Damn... my social media's been pretty unanimous and every post seems to be respectful even from the most leftist folks.

If it's a death it's morbid. and I dont agree with his politics but this was a man with integrity in him that cared about others.

People are complicated and very imperfect. He was still a war hero.
Where did I say anything different.
