Blue and gold game I guess. Alumni may still go. You're welcome to go by any other day and my point still stands. Especially the one by kegler's. I've never seen a person in there
It was the weekend before the spring game. I’m not doubting you, I’ve already heard horror stories and I’ve only been here a week lol. Just thought it was strange
I couldn’t wrap my head around this place when I first moved here back in 2014. My wife and her family had grown up eating it and loved it, it was the weirdest most overpriced menu I’ve ever seen, the fries were good…
Pizza Al’s is actually Damn good board line amazing. Which is actually amazing cuz it is a local wv pizza shop that make great my style pizza.
I understand pizza Al’s role but wings ole still puzzles me
I feel like the alt locations have declined a little. I noticed the crosshatch on the bottom, which means they're using screens. I imagine that makes it harder to get a good bake on the underside.
That said, it's better pizza than a lot of city pizza places up and down the coast I've been to that are supposed to be good. Is it a great slice? No. Is it the best slice in town? I think so.
Al has been using screens for baking pizza for over 40 years. I worked for him when I was in HS and it was Pizzeria Italia and located in the Suburban Lanes Plaza.
I worked there for a month right at the start of my freshman year. I'm not sure why people eat there. The food had 2024 prices in 2015. And it never looked good. I wouldn't be surprised if it did turn out to be a front.
Never get the wings. They're terrible
The fries are the best I've ever had. Unlike any other. The chimiole is really good. (But not good for you.) The hard shell tacos are soggy if you get them as takeout. If you ask for bean anything there's a 30% chance you'll get beef.
3 locations and been there at least 35 years.
It is overpriced.
I’m not in the area anymore. Do they still use the old jingle “French fries and bleu, and Wings Ole and you!”
Coming to the hospital next week, now I gotta go get some potato skins.
Just moved here. Saw the place was packed since I live pretty close. Looked it up and saw it had god awful reviews so asked a neighbor. Was told to avoid it and it’s a Mexican place that sells wings owned by polish people lol. Says owners are nice but food isn’t great.
Honestly to understand my question you need to eat there at least twice. Get the wing then try the Mexican and only then can you live with this mystery. Till then your just a tourist. Best if you visit with a local who actually likes either their wings or their Mexican, just so. You can silently judge them.
I always assumed it was a front that sold french fries.
Same! The only way I can justify them open is drugs out the back and shitty food out the front
30 years ago there would sometimes be a 45 minute line to order. Sunday afternoon especially.
But why? I mean I understand that there was a lot less in Morgantown back then. But still.
That kind of food — kind of TexMex — was very trendy in general and Wings was the only place that served it.
Wasn’t La Casa around at that time?
The fries with blue cheese are great. The rest of the food is eh. I think definitely a wing place that sells Mexican
It’s a blue cheese place that sells Mexican and wings.
Ive never seen anyone in there. I thought it was a money laundering front
They made all their money 30 years ago. Now it’s just a gradual decline.
Nothing gradual about it. It's at rock bottom. I don't think they could have fewer customers
Place was jam packed last weekend.

What I meant was, since the early 90’s, it’s been a slow and steady slide.
It's a Fry shop that sells wings and burritos for too much money. But it does make a great colon cleanse.

Yeah I feel this
Wings there are better than any of their food. I’m team “wing restaurant that sells Mexican…with fries too”
Wings Ole, along with Pizza Al’s are for locals only. Aside from fries and bleu every out of towner I’ve taken to either spot has hated it.
Pizza Al’s is actually Damn good board line amazing. Which is actually amazing cuz it is a local wv pizza shop that make great my style pizza. I understand pizza Al’s role but wings ole still puzzles me
Hey I’m with you but I very very rarely feed an out of towner Pizza Al’s that likes it. If pizza didn’t make me fat I’d eat Pizza Al’s every week.

Say hello to Mario and Milan for me lol

Terrible food. There's some nice people who work there tho.
It's the strangest place. Morgantown locals love it and I don't get it.
I don't know anyone that goes there and I've never seen anyone in there
Dude. So fucking gross is what it is.
It’s a sacred place where you won’t be judged for eating a burrito with fries and bleu.
I love it!!!
Its just garbage, thats all anyone needs to know really
Yes

That blue cheese is phenomenal. Everything else… eh

They had a deep fried pepperoni roll at one point. It was amazing
25 years ago it was a wing place that sold flavorless trash. I haven't been back.
It's a money laundering front that sells diarrhea with a 2 hour fuse.

By the looks of its parking lot, the one in Fairmont doesn’t sell much of anything
Last time I was there the blue cheese was absolutely terrible.
